  2. Yea. that sounds a lot like what has happened. we were getting the fault code for the gear shift. then it went away. It is a known Hisun problem. everyone says to ignore it. we did until this happened. I put a meter across the battery . it is fully charged. the reading just in front of the fuse block also shows full 12+ volts. I changed about every fuse with store bought replacements. It has been years since I worked on much of anything. Do not feel comfortable doing something that might void my warranty. I figured I would check the simple stuff first. get some ideas from others. Since it is brand new with this being the second time doing it. As much as I hate it. I think I better get it to the dealer just in case there is something more serious going on.. Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate it.. It gives me a better idea of what might be happening since the main electrical is powering up.
  3. Wow. I’ve never had an issue with Arctic Cat parts. Guess I thought Prowler Pro and 800SX were exactly the same. Only other thing I can think of is call White River Sales (parent Tracker Company) and maybe they can help…
  4. If the IAC is closed, the engine should run. Yours is stuck open most likely. I would take it out, clean it and make sure it is fully extended. I’ve heard you can make a plug for the hole and a block off plate if you want to leave the IAC removed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Since my UTV is a slow moving property maintenance work horse and I'm constantly in and out of it, I just buckle the belt up behind me & tuck it in behind seat bottom. I wouldn't travel quickly or on any roads or on any "tippy" places without the belt on though, too much risk of getting tossed out and maybe crushed that way.
  6. The whirring noise is the fuel pump building up pressure. It should stop about 3 to 5 seconds after turning the key to "on" position, (but not to start). With all other electricals all functioning, it doesn't sound like a battery issue. No clicking, no reaction to "start" sounds like there is not 12v coming off the key switch to the starter solenoid. From what you described, I'd be betting that the transmission neutral safety switch being defective or out of adjustment. Thus not allowing 12v through the key switch to the starter solenoid. With it in neutral (so you can roll it forward and backward and everyone out of the way) jump 12v to the starter solenoid, it should kick the starter over. Don't let it start the engine, pull a plug wire for safety. IF that works OK, then suspect the neutral or other safety switch. If you connect a test light to the starter solenoid's 12v tab that comes from the key switch, you can start wiggling and pulling things on the shifter mechanism to see if you get a quick flash of the test lamp. Otherwise, get in there with a voltage/continuity tester to see where your 12v is failing to reach the starter solenoid. My 2021 Hisun (Coleman branded) 550 has no brake safety but yours might, its a later model . I do know that if the shifter is even slightly out of the "N" position or if the "N" light on the dash isn't on, you will get nothing when turning the key to start, but everything else electrical will work. Sounding familiar? Good luck, let us know how you are coming along.
  7. This is what Cat Country sent to me. ##- please type your reply above this line -## Some of the Arctic Cat models use them and some do not. We do not know if you can make them work on your Tracker. It would be around $200 for the parts. You can see them in the OEM parts look up below. ref: 6-12 https://www.countrycat.com/arctic-cat-parts#/Arctic_Cat/2021_PROWLER_PRO_RANCH_EPS_ATOMIC_COPPER_%5bU2021M3V2PUSF%5d/FRONT_SUSPENSION_%5b304000%5d/U2021M3V2PUSF/304000/y Country Cat Support
  8. I just bought a new 2024 Hison 550 Stryker 2 months ago. this is the second time I have had this issue. It only has about 20 hours on it. The last time it happened we took it back to the dealer. it was a fuse. Since we live three-hour time driving there and back. I would like to find another solution if possible. I have tried all the fuses that seem to have anything to do with starting. Currently checking the battery. The battery is new. it came with the unit. It is probably 6 months old. the UTV has all power to everything electrical. lights turn signals and radio all work. When trying the key to start . it is 100% dead. as in it doesn't even click. There is a low whirring like the fuel pump is turning on though. The Unit was running and driving just fine. we shut it down for the night. The next morning my wife found it in this condition. Thanks for any Ideas or solutions??? Otherwise, it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon. Great little UTV when it does run.😅 anyone else ever have this Issue..?
  9. 2023 Massimo 750 t boss .I installed new cam, new rings and gaskets runs like a champ.
  10. I unplugged mine and it wouldn't start and run. Kind of fired a little bit but wouldn't catch. Should it have started and run? Thanks for the help!
  11. The cam bolt loosen to the right tighten to the left
  12. I just picked this UTV up off of Marketplace. It needs batteries. I am installing a single 48v lithium battery. The on board charger, a NOCO Genius GX 4820, has a lithium mode. Has anyone here used this charger on new lithium batteries? I want to be certain of the compatibility before hooking the charger to this expensive battery. ** ** I got in touch with NOCO and they told me the charger is fine to use on a new LiFePo battery. Nice charger. Many modes. New ones are running about $550.

  14. Try country cat. They sell all the parts for the prowler pro and have parts diagrams.
  15. I have a 2020. Had a hose clamp fail, but fingers crossed radiator has been fine…
  16. I use a Tractor Supply "Traveler" battery in mine. It's the same battery in my two mowers.
  17. Harvey, Just curious, you mentioned the clutch parts separated. No way to rebuild it better?
  18. What's the best replacement battery option for a Coleman UTV 400?
  19. Is there a way to bypass the seatbelt speed limiter?
  20. Has anyone ever had to change the screen on the fuel pump even though the pump is fine
  21. You went further than I ever would have. On the rare occasion that I have a problem like you had I just drive a Phillips screwdriver through the filter and use that to spin it off.
  22. Aha! Even the big name brands have problems 😉
  23. You guys see the Polaris recall of 22 to 25 utvs? Missing bolts in frame and roll bars..oops...probably not good if you jump or roll I would think...but that's just me...🤔
  24. I turned off the key and then tried to start it a minute later and it would not start. I changed out the fuel filter and the injector. still nothing. if i have the injector pulled out and close to the hole the injector will spray fuel into the hole and it will run but the minute you put the injector in it will die. any idea's please Bigwave

  25. BTW. You didn't do that 1 1/2 extra qrs of oil thing did you? That could be the cause
  26. Motojoe----I have to partially disagree with you on this one. That engine ( problably an EH65 ) has a 12vdc fuel cutoff which eliminates the float abd needle situation. That is on a two barrel carb. I'm not familiar with the single barrel. OP needs to be more specific. Ed is this happening all the time or when running or when turning off? First thing is you need to take the seat belts out of the air cleaner. Lol..... That won't fix your problem! Describe in detail and how long this has been happening. Is the carb a single barrel or twio barrel.. We'll try to help `you.
  27. I have not. I cleaned mine a few times then unplugged it last time it got sticky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well thank you.  I am retired now....actually came out of "retirement" to help T/S Chino units for a friend....turned into full time.  We had Massimo.  Went to the INDY and ORLANDO power sports and met the folks.  They actually had the b---s and gave out our shop landline number for T/S help for dogs.  I've seen some of your posts...you sound AOK.  I have had a time with this old body.  My lady in white on my right shoulder has always done me good.  Better stop before it gets really deep.  Ben
