  3. You can tear top end off in frame but before you do all that, do a compression rest and leak down test to see if it's rings or piston damage or valve issues..what oil are you using? Too low viscosity will. Let oil get by. Crankcase pressure will too.. what does you oil look like? Black...milky? Clear? Unless you just want to refresh it. Find out why it's burning oil before you start wrenching.

  5. Thank you! I found one on Amazon.
  6. Thanks, very useful information.
  7. That is the Idle Air Control IAC. I haven’t found a replacement, but after similar problems with mine I simply unplugged it and all is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well, it was interesting to watch the road tech replace EVERYTHING; the fuel pump and sender assembly, new fuel lines, fuel filter, Injector, HEGO, TPS, and IAC. One thing he was talking about the most is water/ethanol contamination, which would settle out to the bottom of the fuel tank when parked for a day or more. Once driven it would mix in the tank and the severity of the problem would go away. He looked in my tank and really didn't see this in mine, although there seemed to be like water marks in the very bottom of the tank. He wiped it out and then filled it with premium fuel that has no ethanol. My running concern has gone away, and the unit runs really very nice now. Of course, having that many parts replaced is like a shotgun blast, hard to miss. I did end up with another electrical problem just before this last repair. it was supposed to have been fixed and was not! It is intermittent short in the main loom, (the engine loom was already replaced for another issue.) When driven on the road about 1 mile the fuse for the signal lights blows. Have no brake lights or turn signals and causes feedback in the instrument display. Hisun picked it up yesterday to take it back to Texas to replace the main loom that was supposed to have been replaced 3 months ago. So, I guess the bottom line is check for fuel contamination. Do not use fuel that has ethanol added! The fuel pump retaining ring on the tank is really tight, watched the tech bust a sweat trying to get it off then back on, he was a very BIG dude and was using a very special tool. You might try to get a gas sample after letting it for a couple of days in the position that gives you the worst starting problem, check for obvious contamination and then google how to check for ethanol in gas. If you find any fuel issues, make sure you replace the fuel filter. Hope my ramblings help you. NOD

  10. I think this part is causing a high idle problem(4000 rpm at start up) in my 04 R4 Joyner. I took it out and cleaned it and the problem went away. I just went out to start my SXS and it's idle jumped up to 4 grand again. Can someone tell me what this part is called so I can search for a new one. Or can you point me towards a source. Thanks in advance. Kenny
  11. Oil fill is in rocker cover on top of motor tip box up easy to fill no funnel needed
  12. I have a 2013 Hisun with a 686 Yamaha engine. I purchased it from an individual and it ran fine as long as the battery was full. I replaced the stator and now it will not start (run). It cranks fine, has fuel pressure, but will not fire up. I replaced the coil, no luck there. a technician told me that it was the wrong stator and wants a mint to replace it. the wires all plugged in when I installed the stator.
  13. This mod is not for the fainthearted, as it requires some basic metal fabrication and welding skills. But the result is worth the effort IMO. I chose an aftermarket Honda Talon windshield based on economy, size, and construction (aluminum frame, DOT glass, folding, windshield). It fits OK, a little narrow at the top, and you need to incorporate the lower section of the original acrylic windshield and build some additional plates, but better than being too wide. If you are wondering why I attacked this mod, it's because mine is driven daily on the street. Tired of fading, scratchy, hazy plastic. Sucks in the rain; sucks at night. Now I can see.
  14. Any new info on this problem?
  15. Mine still occasionally makes noise. Not overly concerned at this point. Maybe time for you to see to see the dealer…

  17. Good luck on your search
  18. It's always good to see how someone else chose to do it, but I disagree with the way he worded his reasoning for changing the onboard charger. Yes, you don't want to use the existing charging profile of the Delta-Q charger, but changing the profile is very easy if you have the right version file. It just requires a USB stick and the instructions and absolutely does not require removing it from the UTV. The manufacturer of the batteries I used (ReLion) sent me the files for the Delta-Q with a charging profile they had specifically made for them. No point in changing out a perfectly good (and already installed) charger if you don't have to. Others on this very long thread have used other profiles as well.
  19. 2018 Massimo 700 MSU. The machine started burning oil all of a sudden. One day fine-- next morning burning oil. Looking for advice. Do I pull the engine to inspect the top end or can it be done with the engine in place? Pro? Cons? Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated in advance. Chile
  20. For those of you contemplating swapping out your batteries, I found this video on youtube. I like that he goes into how to remove various nuts-and-bolts to remove the old batteries.
  21. I disagree, you don't get what you pay for.
  22. Check your crankcase oil level, if it is too full then that means that your carburetor is leaking fuel into the engine when it is not running. Your carburetor is overflowing to fix that adjust your needle and seat so that the fuel flow stops when the carburetor bowl is full. The reason for gas being in the carburetor air box is that the crankcase breather is trying to re-leave pressure because the crankcase too full (gas and oil). Fix the carburetor problem and then change the oil.
  23. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. These are Chinese made machines so all parts required will be subject to new tariffs.
  24. There's a big reason they want them gone..And that warranty ain't worth the paper it's written on.
  25. Thanks Blair, I've tried this once before and will definitely try again. I may change the allocation size this time. I don't have the music USB with me at the moment... Thanks again... K&S
  26. My older LM 650 is blowing fuel into the air cleaner. Any idea on what would cause this? It is the Suzuki motor. Not sure what model year it is. Thanks Subaru SxS.mp4
  27. I have a 2018 Textron Stampede that has a leak on the passenger side rear end. Definitely looks like a gasket has gone bad, but I’m not sure what fluid I’m replacing?
  28. Okay. Try this. Plug your USB drive into your PC or laptop. (no apple computers) Go to and click once on: "This PC" Then click on USB drive and choose "Format" (quick format option will do fine) After formatting, double click on USB drive to open it, it will be empty. Do not create any folder or anything on the USB drive. From the same PC/laptop, drag & drop a couple of mp3 tracks and try that. Do not just unplug the USB drive from your computer! Right click the USB drive and choose eject. Now you can unplug your USB drive. (just unplugging can corrupt your data) Hope That Does It!!! Blair

Well thank you.  I am retired now....actually came out of "retirement" to help T/S Chino units for a friend....turned into full time.  We had Massimo.  Went to the INDY and ORLANDO power sports and met the folks.  They actually had the b---s and gave out our shop landline number for T/S help for dogs.  I've seen some of your posts...you sound AOK.  I have had a time with this old body.  My lady in white on my right shoulder has always done me good.  Better stop before it gets really deep.  Ben
