I use a Tractor Supply "Traveler" battery in mine. It's the same battery in my two mowers.

You went further than I ever would have. On the rare occasion that I have a problem like you had I just drive a Phillips screwdriver through the filter and use that to spin it off.

I turned off the key and then tried to start it a minute later and it would not start. I changed out the fuel filter and the injector. still nothing. if i have the injector pulled out and close to the hole the injector will spray fuel into the hole and it will run but the minute you put the injector in it will die. any idea's please Bigwave

Older Landmaster LM 650 Fuel Problem

Motojoe----I have to partially disagree with you on this one. That engine ( problably an EH65 ) has a 12vdc fuel cutoff which eliminates the float abd needle situation. That is on a two barrel carb. I'm not familiar with the single barrel. OP needs to be more specific. Ed is this happening all the time or when running or when turning off? First thing is you need to take the seat belts out of the air cleaner. Lol..... That won't fix your problem! Describe in detail and how long this has been happening. Is the carb a single barrel or twio barrel.. We'll try to help `you. -
I have not. I cleaned mine a few times then unplugged it last time it got sticky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There was quite a selection to chose from. Have you tried any of them and they didn't work? I just searched for "idle air control for an 800cc chery engine".

You can tear top end off in frame but before you do all that, do a compression rest and leak down test to see if it's rings or piston damage or valve issues..what oil are you using? Too low viscosity will. Let oil get by. Crankcase pressure will too.. what does you oil look like? Black...milky? Clear? Unless you just want to refresh it. Find out why it's burning oil before you start wrenching.

That is the Idle Air Control IAC. I haven’t found a replacement, but after similar problems with mine I simply unplugged it and all is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, it was interesting to watch the road tech replace EVERYTHING; the fuel pump and sender assembly, new fuel lines, fuel filter, Injector, HEGO, TPS, and IAC. One thing he was talking about the most is water/ethanol contamination, which would settle out to the bottom of the fuel tank when parked for a day or more. Once driven it would mix in the tank and the severity of the problem would go away. He looked in my tank and really didn't see this in mine, although there seemed to be like water marks in the very bottom of the tank. He wiped it out and then filled it with premium fuel that has no ethanol. My running concern has gone away, and the unit runs really very nice now. Of course, having that many parts replaced is like a shotgun blast, hard to miss. I did end up with another electrical problem just before this last repair. it was supposed to have been fixed and was not! It is intermittent short in the main loom, (the engine loom was already replaced for another issue.) When driven on the road about 1 mile the fuse for the signal lights blows. Have no brake lights or turn signals and causes feedback in the instrument display. Hisun picked it up yesterday to take it back to Texas to replace the main loom that was supposed to have been replaced 3 months ago. So, I guess the bottom line is check for fuel contamination. Do not use fuel that has ethanol added! The fuel pump retaining ring on the tank is really tight, watched the tech bust a sweat trying to get it off then back on, he was a very BIG dude and was using a very special tool. You might try to get a gas sample after letting it for a couple of days in the position that gives you the worst starting problem, check for obvious contamination and then google how to check for ethanol in gas. If you find any fuel issues, make sure you replace the fuel filter. Hope my ramblings help you. NOD

I think this part is causing a high idle problem(4000 rpm at start up) in my 04 R4 Joyner. I took it out and cleaned it and the problem went away. I just went out to start my SXS and it's idle jumped up to 4 grand again. Can someone tell me what this part is called so I can search for a new one. Or can you point me towards a source. Thanks in advance. Kenny

Well thank you. I am retired now....actually came out of "retirement" to help T/S Chino units for a friend....turned into full time. We had Massimo. Went to the INDY and ORLANDO power sports and met the folks. They actually had the b---s and gave out our shop landline number for T/S help for dogs. I've seen some of your posts...you sound AOK. I have had a time with this old body. My lady in white on my right shoulder has always done me good. Better stop before it gets really deep. Ben· 0 replies
