    • I really appreciate you letting me know about Massimo not honoring their warranty. I will check out the Aodes UTVs. I will say, I never heard of Aodes so again thank you for sharing this information.
    • I seldom have a reason to go over 20 to 25 mph but I think it is capable if I wanted to.  I think the 550 tops out around 40 to 45 in high, but I haven't really tried that. Most of my property is on hillsides so I only use low range, it has plenty of speed for the 1/8 mile trip down our dirt road to my barn.  It does get a little loud even at 20-25 mph, but not alarmingly so. Its just the engine revs. It should be smooth.  Can you tell if this is exhaust noise or is it noise from something internal to the engine or trans. Maybe remove the dump bed and have a buddy listen out the back window to see if he can spot where that alarming noise is coming from.  Also note at which RPMs the noise increases more that you'd expect for the given RPMs.   Do you have any other issues with engine, like hard starting, or backfiring?  Or how about transmission or belt slippage?   Also is it the same loudness when in high range? Be sure engine and trans mounts are all secure. Check to be sure nothing on the body is touching the engine and maybe magnifying the noise at higher RPMs.
    • I'm working with a 2015 MSU-500.  Basic symptoms are it cranks well, but will not fire.  It has spark, and it has fuel spraying out of the injector (and spraying starting fluid into the throttle body and plug hole makes no difference).  It has compression.  I bought it not running, and no other information was available.  It has 775 miles on it and 127 hours.  It looks to be in very good shape.   Previous owner replaced fuel pump, ECU, coil, plug, and the fuse/relay box that mounts on the firewall, then gave up. My questions relate to cam/valve timing, considering the symptoms and diagnostics so far.  My thinking was the woodruff key sheared off and the crank spun, making it out of time.  My question is, by the pictures attached does anyone have an opinion as to the cam/valve timing being correct?  In the crankshaft picture you can see a timing mark visible.  In the camshaft picture I have arrows directed towards what I think are timing marks (which appear to be exactly 180 degrees from one another).  However, the long arrow in what appears to be bolt configuration in line with the piston/rod line.  Here is a puzzling note... in the position you see in the pictures... I have valve lash on both the intake and exhaust.  I think it's at TDC, given the visible crank timing mark and valve lash on both valves.  Any thoughts ?  Does this appear to be in proper valve time ?  Have I missed anything simple ?  Thanks in advance for your input.
    • It is a good looking rig for sure, the problem is it is sold by Massimo!  As a former dealer I should warn you that Massimo does NOT honor their warrantee, I sold their products for three years and once the total they owed me reached $50,000 in unpaid claims I dropped them.  So buyer beware! Try aodes.com they have a brand new Workcross line that is very nice and as of this morning across the country they only had 8 open warranty claims,  Scott is the claims adjuster and is awesome~!
    • I appreciate this insight.. Helps a lot.. Now I feel I am not the only one experiencing these symptoms  How fast have you pushed your machine  over 25mph yet?  I don't dare has the engine revvs so loud  feels like I might blow the engine
