  1. Sounds like the machine thinks it's low on oil. Since it must still be under warranty, I'd let the dealership sort it out.

  2. Dave, You nailed it. I had pulled two smaller wires to the starter that apparently were ground leads to the engine block. I took them off the starter and ran them through a small ground wire just in case, and it immediately did the warm up sequence and then started. I still need to check the wires to make sure that both of them go to the ground, but that is what looks like the problem. Thanks very much for your insight. Next time I better pay better attention to the wires when I take them off.

  4. Seems a bit premature for a belt, but as Travis said, it's the most likely cause, and certainly the cheapest fix. But you might also try to spin the water pump pulley, etc. while the belt is off. It should spin smooth, and easy. Any roughness you find there, could also be a bearing problem.
