Travis, Thanks for this. I just finished this job on my 2001 mule 550. Regarding the bearing removal: If your bearings are in bad shape, skip the slide hammer and just punch them out with a hammer & screwdriver. The slide hammer may be futile if the bearings are trashed and stuck like mine were. That's extremely prevalent on the internet. I get random emails like that almost daily. They always seem so innocent. But you would think that some people would be cautious, with all the red flags with any of those emails. I just delete them and move on. Maybe it's just my pessimistic view of the world.

Brand new UTV owner. I've been driving a Polaris Sportsman 500 for a few years. We bought a Coleman Outfitter 400 a week ago today, and still trying to figure it out. Would really like to find a repair manual for it, if anybody can point me in the right direction. Our ATV/UTV are primarily to make life easier for us on our small horse place, but now that we have a SXS, we look forward to exploring some of the smaller back roads together. My husband is the mechanic of the family, and found that a repair manual REALLY helped after we bought the VERY well used Polaris a few years ago. We have the owner's manual, but the nearest place that might provide warranty work/repairs is a two hour drive from here, best we can figure out, so an actual repair/service manual will be really helpful, especially once the warranty is up.

Yes... on new engines and older engines, synthetic tends to let the parts slip, instead of providing a film barrier that carries the part.

To get the proper break-in I get it. I tend to agree

thanks Mike it's always good to know these kinds of things about companies and production as well as getting peoples own experiences with products etc... I'm going to look into and try several of the things that have come from this discussion and hope that this info helps some others as well. I will try to post a follow up down the line when I've had some good time to really test and evaluate a few of them. john deere has also been having strikes and production issues, while making more money then they ever have, and also pissing off farmers who can't fix their own equipment anymore and its costing way too much, but now they're making autonomous farm equipment. ... have i heard this story before? but yes I am definitely in the mindset of spending more on a good time saves time and money in the long run .... and good tires too

It baffles me that anyone would fall for their con.. I know a guy from a Corvette forum that got hooked by one claiming to be hot chick from Russia.. She sent him naked pics and all. I kept telling him THATS NOT HER, its a dude conning you.. but he didnt believe me. She promised to fly to CA to see him.. I told him, wait, here it comes, I NEED $$$$ to get there.. Sure as sh&t , she made a story up needing cash for ticket.. dumbass sent her $500 ...she never got there
