  1. As I said, I have 160 acres. It just gripes the heck out of me , that all I can walk is the area where I'm building a house. Now, I can drive everywhere, see everything. Sure is a stress buster. Before I went in the military, I was an avid hunter. Deer, pronghorn antelope, javelina hogs. Since Vietnam, I can't bring myself to kill things. Turned my interest to feeding them and watching their habits. I've raised 2 fawns, several baby rabbits, a meaner than hell ground squirrel , and hurt quail. In 4 years , I have had one bear foraging around, and a young mountain lion. The strangest animal out here is the animal native to Africa, called "audad" mountain goats. I'm certain, I am just as strange to them. Funny, most animals just stand and watch me while I'm in the Hisun. As soon as I get out , they bolt. This Hisun 750 has greatly increased the quality of life.

  2. That's quite the paint chip. No telling what else ended up in the injector. There is an internal screen filter, but it would end up largely plugged if something that size made it thru the line. You can always just cary a spare injector onboard and swap if you have another issue. It doesn't take much to swap em.

  3. The brake switch is above the pedal. When you depress the brake are you getting brake lights? If so it's fine. When you jump the solenoid it will bypass the safeties, it needs to be in neutral to start. You never mentioned if you are getting the "N" neutral light on the dash before trying to start. Here is the page from the service manual, Since we know it starts when jumped I skipped the page checking the wiring. Basically check the brake light switch, neutral swich, and testing procedures for the solenoid (item 4 above).

  4. Paint chip is no good, but doubtful that it made it thru the filter, so it's likely been there, or got knocked off when you were working on removing things. Code 201 indicates that it is getting a weak or unexpected signal from the injector. The fuel metering is done by pulsing the injector open. The ECU expects it to be X resistance and it gets Y resistance instead and throws a code. This could be a failing injector (the internal solenoid may be failing) a loose or intermittent connection, chafed wire partially shorting to ground, moisture or corrosion in a connector, etc. It's likely intermittent, but will eventually get worse. When it's happening it will throw the code and give the engine the wrong amount of fuel causing stalling, performance issues, no start, etc. If it were me I would visually inspect the Injector wiring for chafing, check inside the connectors, and if I didnt find anything just throw a new injector at it. You can also check resistance of the injector, but if it's intermittent it may check out ok when you happen to check it.

  5. Have you checked all the fuses in the fusebox, as well at the 30A fuse that's on the relay wiring? Have you checked the battery voltage and the terminal tightness?

  6. Yes the transmission is lubricated by engine oil just like a motorcycle. Also like most motorcycles it transmits power using a wet clutch. Due to the wet clutch you need an oil that is compatable to prevent slipping. Use oils that are rated MA or MA2. A lot of automotive oils have special viscosity modifiers that will cause slipping. The drive squealing is likely a drive belt or primary/secondary clutch. They are under the plastic cover on the left side of the motor. They operate the same way a snowmobile or belt driven ATV does. There is a service manual in the downloads section for instructions on how to replace.

  7. Yep, every time my wife uses the 400, she tells me its out gas. I quit telling her how to read it, just say "Yes Dear".

  8. Yep. Mine is the same. This shows you have a full tank. The indicators will disappear from right to left as it consumes fuel.

  9. The fuel indicator can be misleading on how to read it. I have Axis 500. It has bar indicators with the ‘near empty’’ bar being Red and all others up to full being Yellow or Amber. With a full tank all indicators are visible, including the red empty indicator. As fuel is consumed the indicators will disappear from right to left. Don’t let the visible red indicator fool you. It doesn’t mean that it’s about empty.
