Fan is working, so I don't think that is the problem. I have driven the mule around a good bit since I had the problem and it has not overheated again. I am stumped as to what to do. Do I change the thermostat anyway in hopes it was a random event that will happen again. What else could it be? Thank you all for your opinions.

So do thermostats sometime work and sometimes not when they are going bad. Does this happen?

Hello, I have a mule 4010 trans that appeared to overheat based on the temperature light on the dash and it went into limp mode. No steam though. After letting it cool and the next day, I drove it around quite a bit and it did not have any problems. Any ideas on this. Do thermostats work intermittently? I would like to fix the problem, looking for advice. Many thanks
