  1. Fisher gave us a great rate on the quads which we are taking but we're going to try and get a better rate on the T4 if possible. Allstate was actually $450 a year but they were so bad to work with and wouldn't bother returning calls that we're looking hard. Nevada is an awful place for insurance rates. Cinda
  2. Is that full coverage? WOW! My quote was $986 a year because its a new vehicle and there aren't that many out there. I will say that Nevada does have some of the highest insurance rates in the country. Cinda
  3. How much is everyone paying for their Trooper insurance? We're shopping right now because the company that we had for the quads and the trooper basicly handled my accident very poorly with the exception of the lady who handled my grandsons claims, she was remarkable. The lady that was in charge of my side won't even return calls to me or the hospital. So we are changing. I'm sure every state is different in cost I'm just looking for a rough estimate. Thank-you, Cinda
  4. Just in case anyone is interested Fire Eagle is offering a special on the Spot, this is from their website. Cinda Spots, spots, SPOTs everywhere August 15th, 2008 by Jeannie Yang There's lots of talk about mobile updaters like the iPhone or Nokia, but what happens when you're out of cellular range and your phone can't connect to the internet? I shudder at the thought, but this is not a doomsday post, enter SPOT. SPOT is a satellite messenger and it's able to update your location from practically anywhere in the world. Unlike other GPS devices, it is able to broadcast your location to friends and family. Oh, and it can save your life. There's a 9-1-1 button which they don't recommend testing, but I've no doubt that it works. SPOT is one of the early Fire Eagle developers and, so far, the only device maker. They play with satellites, for reals. So, we were quite excited when SPOT integrated with Fire Eagle. Now, you can link your SPOT with your Fire Eagle account and have it update your Fire Eagle location when you check in or have tracking turned on. If you have the SPOT tracking service, it will periodically check in and update your Fire Eagle location automatically. SPOT was just as excited as us to see what Fire Eagle users would think of it that they are offering a discounted SPOT with a free year of basic and tracking services to all you early Fire Eagle users. That's going to save you some pennies for sure. Not much more I've got to say, but go try it out for yourselves! Go get your SPOT promo now. When you get your SPOT set up, log into your SPOT profile pages and choose the "Share tab", then click on "Share with Fire Eagle" to authorize SPOT to update your Fire Eagle location. Also when you join and login this is what comes up, its a great value Now extended through December 31st! For a limited time, SPOT is offering Fire Eagle users a one-year subscription to SPOT basic and tracking services and a discounted SPOT satellite messenger! Use SPOT with Fire Eagle to update your location from most anywhere around the world and share your SPOT location with any other Fire Eagle applications.
  5. I have basic plus the live tracking upgrade. When I bought ours FireEagle was running a special and you could join free for a year with basic and tracking service. Now it looks like they are also discounting the SPOT. 6. George has been talking about doing that, I'ld love pictures if anyone gets a chance. Do you think it was demo for Joyner? Maybe of things to come? Cinda
  7. Or could be be the cataltic converter? OK so I can't spell (LOL). I just thought of that because we just had to replace the one in the motorhome and it was running funny right before it went out. Cinda
  8. That sounds like ours did when we had that wiring problem. Run for a second then off ours was back firing. This what we posted on RA. By the way I bought George a Spot for Christmas not only for breakdowns but to save us in the event of an accident. Hi Everyone, Need some help, Thursday we were going up a very slight incline on a forest rode and the T4 just stopped. It backfires when you try and get it to run, luckily we were able to coast back down the mountain because we had Lance with us and no cell service. Called Joyner and they were great about trying to trouble shoot it on the phone, luckily cell service at the bottom of the hill. They thought it might be the computer and had us pull it and take it to Cedar City to get it tested, it wasn't the computer. Fuses were all good. George ran all the connections, checked the battery. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Of course we're here in the car instead of the truck so we'll have to come back and haul the T4 to Cedar if we can't figure it out. Called our friend and he came and rescued us. God Bless Good Friends. Cinda Repair Thanks to the help from an highly experienced bike mechanic and his sons staying in the RV Park right behind us they were able to diagnose the problem. WARNING TO EVERYONE CHECK YOUR MACHINES trace the wire from the exhaust sensor back to its harness, its really well hidden under the intake manifold, ours had rubbed across the positive terminal of the starter, causing arcing and welded the four wires together for the O2 harness. Once that was cut and spliced together we're on the road again. We're calling Casey at Joyner on Monday to warn them of the problem and to get a new wiring harness ordered. Thanks for all your help we really appreciated it.
  9. I've never heard of the Ruesch Motor Company could you please give us some information? I love hearing about new companies. Do they have a website? Cinda
  10. Borrego is a nice little town, we have spent alot of time horse camping there with my father-in-law. We haven't been there for a few years but I remember seeing people camping out in the desert with their quads and buggys going towards the Salton Sea. Have fun on your trip and take lots of pictures, we'ld love to see them. Cinda
  11. Thank you! Cinda
  12. Jimmy, My 700 Sportsman will go thru with a couple of inches on each side to spare, your RZR can legally go on that trail because of its width from Polaris as long as you don't do any radical modifications and make it wider, the Rhinos ect are not allowed on that trail. Although there has been a problem with some people knocking down the fence and doing other things to get onto the trail. That trail is narrow and I love to ride it. We spend alot of time in Marysvale, we leave the motorhome and toys up there May usually through mid September. This year due to my accident everything was brought back to Vegas early. Normally we are up there 3-4 days a week plus at least one full week a month. In June we'll be there for two weeks for our anniverary and in August we're going on a five day ride with a group of friends, that week we'll more than likely stay around ten days straight before going back home. I'm hoping to be able to spend more time up there this summer, George won't let me ride alone anymore but we have friends there so I'll be able to ride even if George is back at home. I have a picture of the Sportsman in that gate that I can email you if you like. Send me a pm with your email address and I'll be glad to send it to you. Cinda
