-
Kinarfi I just looked at the pics great detail, Rocmoc and Lenny thank you!! Lenny any idea on what your kits will sell for???? I may want one for the front as well. I guess I will wait pull the diff apart once rather than twice!! Thanx a lot guys Lenny keep me updated
-
ok Kinarfi I will go and order that stuff just trying to prtevent an issue. I did talk to silverbullets and he asked me a couple ?? like driveshaft play and what not. I told him there wasnt much play in the driveshaft to when the wheels begin to turn andI told hime the bolts were hammered over. He said that I have the better rear end but its still a weak link and that he would not have any diff kits ,for a couple weeks. So basically what your saying is replace all the bolts in the diff with these new ones then lock tight the pin in that holds the spider gears correct. The size above is what I need is that correct?????? thank U

thanx for all the help guys!!! So if any one hears of a diff upgrade kit thats avalible let me know I wanna buy one, just gonna enjoy my trooper for now cause no one has one. You can contact me at [email protected] or threw this

sorry for the confusion I started this thread about help on my shifter cables and clutch but I believe I have that issue solved. Then I started reading all the issues with the rear diff and I havnt had any issues as of yet but If im gonna Id like to prevent it. so I am at the point were I should eathier leave it alone or hopefully get a kit from Lenny. I know silverbullets sells one but I dont know if the kit is like Lennys
-
Rocmoc, So I just pm Lenny kinda explained everything to him. Told him how my trooper is set up. So you have an 08issue and just now upgraded your riffs wow!!! That makes me feel better. I told Lenny I don't do holeshots and I try to keep wheel spin to a minimum when its locked in 4I wheel all locked or just the rear diff. Only time it ever really has spun is when I have been in some loose mud Wich wouldn't put a strain on it I think. I always feather the clutch never just let it fly. So I guess in your opinion should I nag Lenny for a kit??? Or should I relax and enjoy my trooper. Again thanx

Ok rocmoc. How would I get a kit from Lenny and is it like the one silverbullets sells. I think u guys all live in Arizona and I live in Plymouth ma. Im just trying to prevent an issue, you said open the diff I was looking at it if I.pull the right side axle out and take all the bolts out and the smaller side of the case off will I be able to see anything or should I take the entire diff out and open it on the bench. I don't mean to be a pain just trying to figure this out I have no issues that I know of as of now. Thanx again

Ok guys good advice. As far as my clutch goes I ended up putting a pedal stopper on the firewall and its like brand new shifts so much better. As far as my rear diff goes I still have worries and concerns. I havnt had any trouble yet im just trying to prevent it. I talked to rick at silverbullets he told me to take my drain fill plug out look into the diff and at the bolts I should see clips around the bolts that are hammered over if its like that I should be ok he said if I see wires on the bolts probably good idea to update. When I opened the rear diff meaning the drain plug I could see the bolts no wire and if there are clips over the bolts there well hammered over cause I thought man those heads on the bolts don't look good. Any thoughts ideas thanx everyone

well that makes sence I have seen that happen on subarus as I am a subaru mechanic. So should I rebleed the clutch then??

mine is a 2009 trooper fuel tank under passenger seat. I did notice that there is a little adjustment on the slave should I try that wich way would make it better making the throow longer or shorter. Also rocmoc I was going threw all the threads on this I see a lot about upgrading the rear diffs do they brake that easly. I have changed the fluid in mine already to synthetic I do play little on rcks when needed fire roads mud and some steep hills I see silverbullets has it for 90$

hey guys, I know we all have talked about shifter cables and so on. But I have some question maybe Im a little peronoid or over thinking it. Sometime while out driving my trooper if IM cruising down the fire roads its not smooth going to 3rd thats with the clutch pedal to the firewall. My pedal arm does hit the firewall when pressed all the way. I know its a hydrolic clutch so no adjustment there. I also noticed last night when I toook my son for a ride that when putting it back in the garage I was having a hard time shifting in general with the trooper running almost like the clutch wasnt doing its job. I have about 500 miles on it 30" zilla tires silverbullet programmer and a snorkle. Any idea I cant imagine I need a clutch at 500miles I do know how to drive stick no problem. Im hoping its an adjustment but im not sure. Im gonna lunbe all the cables and try it agin tomorrow see what happens ANYTHOUGHTS OR IDEAS I WOULD REALLY APRECIATE THANKS

so guys I left my new 55 watt halogen bulbs in the front driving lights and i changed the 7.5 fuse to a 10 considering most offroad lights run a ten amp fuse. Brought it to an aftermarket shop in the area that does steros and some 4x4 stuff they said should be fine after they looked at it also had my buddy whos an electricial check it out he said should be good. well i used them sat night fro about an hr and had no issues so i think I am good just wanted to give an update thats all

Hey guys looking to adjust my shifter cables I have almost 500 miles on it now and some times its a little tuff to grab 3rd gear or reverce if I am in a hurry. I have read the manual but its not real clear to me. I know it can be adjusted at the shifter and at the transmission but it seems like if I lossen both ends and move the cable seems like I am only gonna move the outter part of the cable. so how are you guys doing this whats the best way to do it?? thanx charlie
-
ok I will see if I can get the front bulb replacement ones!!! I wanna go to LED up top as well Ill just get facory ones for front driving lights again I guess. ?! thought I could brighten them up a bit..
-
good morning everyone, Anybody watch the game ugh!!! Anyway so have any of you guys updated your lights on the trooper yet. I popped a bulb went to get new one and surprise I cant, I believe the stock bulb is 35watts???? So I got a 55w halogen bulb thought I was all set disconnected the highbeam. but I left the lights on in the trooper for a bit over the weekend and I blew the fuse So is a 55w to much what have you guys done?? charlie

starter issue all set loose connection at relay and almost brocken connection at starter solenoid thanx for the input anyone. hey is there a cross reference number for rear wheel bearings mine is a little loose r/r talked to silverbullets they have them but didnt know if I could get one local, one of these days Ill try to put some pics of my trooper on here lol
-
hey guys bruha glad to here you got the trooper going I did as well. Found that I had a partially brocken wire at the starter and poor contact on the solinoid side took care of that and she fires right up now, starter are 174 from silverbullet motorsports and when they said they usually dont sell many I triple checked everything thank god lol.
-
bruhaw Kinarfi sent me a wire diagram withhow to install the new relay to the solinoid worked great just started acting up gonna check factory relay and check for signal when key is on was fine just started again not sure whats up but however new relay clicks everytime I try to start so eathier im loosing power or loose connection or I gues starter
-
bruhaw thanx for the reply did the relay thing worked great just started asking up again gonna double check all of it
-
well thats a lot to read I have already done the relay thing?! and I know my ignition switch is good still got power at the starter and the relay and when I hit the switch I got no stat but my relay clicks. had to pop the clutch to get it started the last time in woods I believe my starter is done but I am going to recheck it all again looks like I will need a starter silverbullets has them but they say they dont sell many hope this helps anyone or if anyone has anything to say let me know charlie
-
anyone know were you can get a front bumper fro the T2, charlie
-
im gonna have it tested thanx for the reply kinarfi, I thought when we spoke last you said you had replaced your starter did youb get a factory one or is there another that will fit??? It happened yestarday couple times just didnt wanna start could here the relay clicking so Im assuming enless its the neutral switch the wiring is good.
-
Hey guys been a while since Ive been on here hope all is well. Question for you guys is there a cross reference number for a starter for the T2 I already did the whole really thing that Kinarfi was great explaining worked great for a while relay is clicking looks like I still got good ground and power so I am thinking starter is just not doing the job. So is there another starter out there that can be used or do I need to get it from joyner?? charlie
-
SoI tried the relay thing with the starter. Did you use a 2 post relay?? I tried with a 4 post relay oneside two battery one to the orginal solenoid wire ground and then a thicker wire to the starter solnoid it was a 30amp relay and when I cycled the key nothing happend fans and fulel pump didnt even cycle. So i am assuming maybe the 30 amp relay is to big or I need a simple 2 post relay any ideas would be great. I did run a wire off the blue orginal solenoid wire I shortened the wire by a foot traced it back in the harness pretty far does that wire feed directlt off of the ECM????? This fix kinda works if I hold the key for a secound it does start. well any thoughts or ideas would be great thanx charle
