$10,000 cash and you can have it all. Two Troopers, one complete with mods & one stock 99.8% complete but in semi-dismantled state. AND am not kidding! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

$1 I wished. My bid is in the hundreds. It did not hit the reserve so it remains at a dollar until someone bids higher than me or hits the reserve which is a far number of coins. I don't have the time to screw around so my Max bid is placed upfront. Either I get it or someone else does. I want it because I already have a Renegade front diff. If someone else out bids me on here it is fine, no bad feelings. REALLY!!!!!! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

I just bid on this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/270945841976?item=270945841976&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:B:BCA:US:3160&vxp=mtr I believe it is the one we all tried to cut a deal with on this site. We will see, put in a fair bid but did not reach reserve. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Stopped working, dash guage is showing zero charging. Any tips or secrets? That thing is buried up under everything. Maybe a good time to flip the intake. Will have to take a look and see if I have enough time before the Jamboree to flip the intake and change out alternator. Luckily I do have a spare but still not much time or miles on this alternator to be failing this soon. This is something we are going to have to keep current on the forum as there has now been a string of failures. Again, any tips? Like inline fuse, fuse in fuse box, connector or just info. Will start working on it tomorrow. I will have a battery charger with me at the Jamboree so if a failure occurs we can keep-em running. NOTE: my engine is still running fine as the battery is fully charged. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

BUT that still does not fix the most important weak link and that is the alignment of the pinion gear to the ring gear. That takes shims that ONLY Lenny makes. If the alignment is not correct and most are not, the pinion places stress on the weaker edges fot the ring gear. Thus it BREAKS teeth OFF!!!! If you have the bolts with the clips, they should not back out. IMHO, replacing the bolts if you already have the clipped bolts is a waste of $ and time. Correct me Lenny if I am wrong but I believe I am correct. Charlie, I am sending you a PM (Personal Message) rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Light Bar - Preview of what I've been working on
rocmoc replied to Kinarfi's topic in Joyner UTV SxS Forum
So are you coming to the Jamboree so we can see your lights WORK!!!! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico -
I too have not had any problems with the stock clutch. Did you have the flywheel cut? Seem I remember the kevlar clutch required some work to the flywheel. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Trip Report required, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Lenny if you are responding to me, the one of the 10 best trails is the one we are going on at Superstition before the Jamboree. Nothing in Southern AZ has be rated or in a mag that I know of. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

OK you do not have one of the early Troopers. Really surprised you driveline was not already the CV joint driveline. You should be OK. If you look at the shift cables going from the lever to the trans, one of them is red. The early cable were pulling off the end of the stops. Have not heard anyone with that problem in years so you probably have the upgraded cable. But again, I am still running my original cables but have the upgraded cables Team Joyner gave me. Yeah you were lucky with the oil pan. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Never heard of it. Most of the trails I ride don't have names as very few people come down this far. I am near the Border so most people have too many concerns. The Border Patrol is everywhere and you do have to be careful. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

I agree with Rick. We felt you were talking about the front. If it is the rear that failed, by all means replace it. AND you were lucky if you did not damage the engine. Past failures of the rear driveline have punched a hole in the oil pan. Count your-self lucky. Sounds like you have one of the first Troopers. Other upgrades Team Joyner provided when they were still in buisness was bigger brake rotors and a red shift cable replacement. Also sooner or later your fuel tank sending unit will fail, no real replacement. The steering rack did not come with dust covers so water & mud can get in the rack. Good idea to get some if you are going to be driving in a lot of water & mud. Note, when I replaced my REAR dirveline I cut the steel plate under the engine off to get access. I replaced with a bolt-on aluminum plate. The early Trooper had steel plate all weild under the Trooper. Later ones had bolt-on alumium under the entire underside. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Tinman, you need to make sure they are not sending you a rear driveline. As posted, YES the rear was upgraded to a CV-joint driveline and is a must upgrade. Thanks guys for correction in info. As I posted in my first post, a CV-joint front was new News to me!!! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

I too have one spare for my Trooper. As you as posted, I carry a front rim mounted spare and will move one of my larger tire & rim to the rear should I have a flat in the rear. My choice was more about wieght & room. I wanted to minimize both. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Wow, I had not heard about a cv joint replaement. That is really interesting. It should be better all tho if they had used good quality U-joints there should not been any problems. Take a look at the seal on the output shaft of the trans where the driveling mates. It can get missed up and would be a good cheap idea to have them send you one. When I missed up my output shaft at Moab it also ate the seal. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

To be able to carry in the bed of your 150 limits the available SxS. The only one for sure that fits is the narrow version of the RZR and maybe the Rhino. If I was purchasing in today's market, I would look real hard at the Artic Cat WildCat, the Can Am and the RZR in that order. Of course this assumes $ available in the $12,000-19,000 range. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

You are the first failure of this type reported on here. Lenny did fabricate a new single piece front driveline for his Trooper. I am pretty sure it will be a day or two before he is back on here to respond. Maybe tonight! There is just a metal tab or strap across the u-joint end, u-joint is not wield in place. You should be able to grind it off and replace u-joint and tack wield a tab back in place tho I don't believe anyone has tried. I believe Lenny may have some driveline pieces. Hang in there, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Look at the title. I fixed it, it is now both. LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

You need to do a search to find the past post of the process. Either Lenny or Kinarfi posted a detail of the process in the past. Just the short incomplete version of the process, Pull the diff out of the Trooper Drain oil Remove bolts around pumpkin Replace the drain plug Use compress air thu the vent tube to push the pumpkin our of third member housing. Then you can see everything. Lenny's kit comes with detail instructions. He just sold the last of his kits but he may be able to put another one together or encouraged to make another batch. It is the same Lenny that is on this forum. It should be noted that I have been running my '08 Trooper with the original diffs now for nearly 5 years without trouble. It is one of the first 50 that did not have any of the upgrades. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

I upgraded my spare rear diff which is a 09 last summer and it had the clips. Yes it had the clips but the tolerances were way off. The pinion gear did not align correctly on the ring gear. The upgrade was completed with Lenny so I know it is correct. Personally there is only one real upgrade and that is Lenny's. I am completing the upgrade on the matching spare front diff now with Lenny's kit. I have to install the 09 upgraded diff in my Trooper before the Jamboree and will have the front along as my spare. I will install the front diff sometime this summer. You can't just look at the clips and be assured the diff is correctly built. You have to pop the pumkin and look at the alignments & tolerances. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Much more refined! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
-
Somebody else correct me if I am wrong but Joyner did not have upgraded diffs until AFTER 09 and I not sure if they every had an upgrade really. They were out of buisness by the time all the diffs started to fail. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

It is worth the trip to the Jamboree just to see Lenny's mods to his Trooper. I had the chance to drive it today and ride with him a bunch. Suspension & power is unmatched by ANY Trooper. We went over rocks & thu creek cuts that were HUGE. If you can make it to the Jamboree just to see his rig it is worth it. Very very nice! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
