  1. I would be interested!! Need a price first. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Now that is what I was talking about that Joyner needed to do to update the Trooper some way. Great job, Len. Did you do your tube bending? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. BUT I never was a VW fan except in a sandrail, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. There needs to be some body/tubing updates. The Trooper is starting to look dated, IMHO! OR some new aftermarket stuff to change the looks alittle. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. Sounds like another aftermarket item for you to whip up for us. You could even pickout a std alt for us to use. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. EVR, You should never have to give fuel to a fuel injected engine if it is running correctly. The computer should make the adjustment for you. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. Found my NEW email provider. It is Care2.com, http://www.care2.com/ This site does not save, track or whatever with YOUR info. My new email address is [email protected] Finished with google as soon as I move everything over. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. Stevozz, if you aren't going to run a ton of lights you don't need 75 amps. As Lenny said, if it will bolt up it will work. rocmoc n AZ
  9. Another problem is we get very little support or help from the mid-west & east as they do not have the open areas we do in the West. They are already controlled in private off-road parks & small public controlled areas. The West is on its own to slow these people. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. This type of guy started the War on the Off-Roaders in California. Was sucessful and are now moving on to the rest of the Western & Southwester States. We are having a similar type of battles in AZ. They can be slowed but are tough to stop. This is one of the reasons I am so close to the USA/Mexico border as I feel in my life-time that will be my primary off-roading location as everything else will be controlled like California. VERY VERY SAD!!!! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. A good reason to have a Jamboree SOB, (South Of the Border). Fuel is 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper. Of course you will have to pay thu the nose to get to the border. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. Yes this topic has been on here before. Do a search and I am sure the info will come up. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. IMHO our fuel is subject to price fixing by a monopoly of a few. I posted this on rv.net of which the site quickly took down / deleted. Big business is really out to take advantage at every turn. rv.net is owned by the same holding company that owns Camping World. So much for free speech. They own everything you post. That is why I will never go on ANY Social Media site. http://www.npr.org/2...surpass-imports rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. I don't worry or think pressure in the fuel rail is really an issue. I always wait until I hear the pump stop before I try to start the engine. I do this on all my stuff that has a electric pump. I think you have the easiest fix tho, buy Bosch. Great product, I even purchase their windshield wipers. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  15. I weld a car tank once after filling with soap & water. After it was full with the water & suds, we place a flame in the opening. Small pop and that was it. Still was scarey!! This was when I was young & s****d, I can't write it. I was yound and a lot of fun. Luckily I still am, LOL!!!!! rocmoc n AZ
  16. Quiq, Which shock let go? Front or rear? Seems most of the time it is the rear. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  17. Hello Kurt, Even tho you have the main elec switch off, still check to see if there is any current still going to the pump. Maybe there is a smash, burnt or crossed wired still sending current to the pump. It could also be a very small current just enough to be there but not enough to turn the blades. Kinarfi, think that could do it? Check and make sure your ground straps on the trans & engine are clean & tight. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  18. The problem is there are thin spots. The thickness is not uniform. I weld it also but would hit a thin location and blow thu and then have to fill. You can see it if you cut the tubing and look in the open hole. AND this may have been something found in the first Troopers and corrected later. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  19. I have Fox. Lots of info on the site. Search Fox rocmoc. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  20. I just don't use my Trooper in the dark and I have no problems, LOL!!!! rocmoc n AZ/MX
  21. Sorry Rick, that is where my Motorhome is located when we visit. Spot is already taken!!! rocmoc n AZ
  22. Hope you find the cause and post the fix. Hang in there!!!!! rocmoc n AZ/MX
  23. Do you get enough monsoon rains to keep the dust down? I don't go out much in the spring until the monsoons arrive because the dust is horrible. Didn't use to be as bad but the Border Patrol (BP) now keeps everything tore up thu out the year. Makes for great ROUGH off-roading after the rains start as there more erosion than ever from the BP. rocmoc n AZ/MX
  24. As I have posted here before, beware providing personal information to a third party. You do so at your own risk! rocmoc n AZ
  25. Unplug computer and discount battery. Tell him the walls of the tubing is thin so beware when he welds. rocmoc n AZ
