  1. We finally have made it home. Will post pics asap. Right now the Trooper & Honda are setting in the rain of our FIRST monsoon of the year. Aren't I lucky to get home just in time for mother nature to wash everything, not. I don't like to get the Trooper wet after the trouble some of the guys have had in wet country. The Honda is fine, it is bullet-proof in ALL weather. We actually hit rain south of Flagstaff yesterday and had the drivers side windshield wiper fly off. Had to pull off until the heavy rain pasted. We then continued on home safely in huge wind & dust storm. Safely pulled in last night at home and was too tired to unload, will start at 7am. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. I suggested the same thing at Hanksville. As far I am concerned you are next year's host and you have selected the site. Now WHEN? Got some ideas of a date. Mid-April thu May are good for us. OR mid-Oct thu Nov. Too hot in the summer & we are already committed the rest of the year. Just a suggestion. You have my support! We are talking the KOA campground with hookups, right. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Will be contacting you later. I will pm you my contact info. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. Post a pic and we would have a better idea. Market is getting full with toys! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. Just beware the more aggressive a pad is the more the rotor wears. I use to have to replace my race car rotors every other year from the aggressive pads we ran. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. Lenny's supercharger probably masked any effect I could feel from the Cams so I can not really comment plus or neg. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. Best thing to do is camp when the bugs are not out, like SPRING. Spring just after the last freeze and before the warm rains is a no bug time. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. Springs are too stiff and the pre-load is too high. Lower tire air pressure helps. Backing off pre-load helps but you will give up some ground clearance. Banging noisy is the steering rack. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Usaually the girls like my legs. Thanks for noticing RICK, LOL! Always in shorts. We have ran into no-see-ums in Mexico and Deet does not have any effect on them. There iis some stuff made in Mexico that is not available in USA the works but we did not have any with us. Will get the name later. We had 35% deet Bullfrog on and they still got us. Yes if you stay SUPER oiled up they have trouble getting you and the wind helps keep them abated. They stay on the ground in the dirt or sand until the wind calms down or you sit on them. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. I drove Len's Trooper. I will say the SuperCharger is Killer, it makes his Trooper scream. I am not sold on the cams! It was nice driving a Trooper that does not have a rattle and rides like a caddy. Differently helped me prioritize my next upgrades, Steering Rack upgrade, softer springs & doors. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. I can hear her too! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. A line comes to mind, Turn out the lights, the party is over! We will still play with what we have so another line is And the band played on! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. We are now in Idaho in 75 degree weather. I don't think we are leaving until fall, only joking. We had a GREAT TIME. A couple of the BEST rides we have EVER been on. Just those dang bugs ran us off and it was a touch warm. Canceled Moab as the temps were in the 100s. Pics when we get home as the trip is ongoing, LOL! and I am on a friend's computer & aircard. Thanks to Lenny & Kinarfi for picking a great location. Next year, NOT so remote and COOOOOLER! We rolled the longest distance traveled prize over to next year and I hope I am NOT the winner. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. GONE! We are on our way. Shooting for Bluff, UT tonight. BUT first we have to stop in Flagstaff so better 3/4s can do some Antiquing. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. We can talk about Moab in Hanksville. OK RV Park in Moab reservation has a 48 hour cancellation policy. If Quiq goes South of Moab with Kinarfi, I may go up to Sandflats with Lenny. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. I am very lucky here in AZ, I can drive my Trooper ANYWHERE. I have even had it on the Freeway, LOL! (only from one exist to the next where the frontage road ended) You can even drive a sandrail on the streets. Who knows how long it will last as were are becoming more like CA & OR everyday with regard to off-road acceptability & support from the public & state law makers, bummer. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. Quiq, Just remembered the Chicken something is Chicken Corners. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. Thanks, one of these years. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. Yes they do, Kane Creek, Chicken something and more. There are sites on-lines with complete trail write ups. Do a google search of Moab trails. A ton of sites will come up. They will rate the trails by difficulty. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. Here is more, The Utah State Bill is SB 181 signed by the Governor in 2008 allowing OHVs on the streets of Utah effective Oct. 1, 2008. The attached link has a link to the Bill itself. http://www.xxxoffroad.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51:street-legal-ohvs-in-utah-oct-1&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. I posted this in May for you, http://static.stateparks.utah.gov/docs/Street_Legal_ATV_Requirements.pdf . It is a Utah Gov document stating what the p's & q's of / for a Utah Street Legal UTV is and how & where you can ride them. AZ is a reciprocating State, means you honor ours & we will honor yours, so I can drive my AZ Street Legal UTV on the streets of Utah and anyone with a UT Street Legal UTV can in AZ. Not a problem for me and this is what I was told by the local Moab LEO. ALL of my toys are AZ Street Legal which means I am also fully insured to drive on the street. Insurance is one of the biggies. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. I am taking a copy of this doc with me just in case I run into a uninformed LEO on the topic. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  22. Thanks rick, Quiq, reservations made for the OK RV Park for Sunday & Monday nights with possible Tues (IF WE ARE HAVING TO MUCH FUN!!!!!). rick, now I am rubbing it in, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. Trooper, dirtbike & water loaded. Have to head back into the city, they gave me the wrong conversion plug for the light. 7 to 4 but I need a 6 to 4. Then just the my clothes. Leaving in the morning! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. We would have enjoyed having both of you guys. Next year! You two have any suggestions? This thing does not have to be in the summer, can be fall winter (all we are already committed) or spring. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  25. Same place where 2scoops camps, Sandflats. See earlier post, http://www.utvboard.com/topic/2269-anyone-gonna-be-in-moab-for-memorial-weekend/ Has all the info. That is at the trail head of Hell's Revenge. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
