  1. Do you do it or someone else? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. In the photo of the front. Are the orange & blue water drops, think that is what they are, paint or decals? Looks good! Too bad we aren't going to be able to get it DIRTY. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Quiq, Can UTV/ATV be driven on the street in Id like they can in AZ? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. What a pain! Trooper won't fit on the long trailer unless I put the stock rims & tires on. Stock rims & tires don't fit anymore since I moved the lower rear shock mount. Stock rims & tires had not been mounted on the Trooper in 4 years and had no idea they did not fit. I have been hauling around a spare that would not work if I needed it, stock rear rim. I have not replaced it with one of the front rims. Always thought I could just move a tire around to where I needed it but NO. At least the spare issue is resolved. SO I either have to widen the long trailer OR buy new tires for the race trailer OR buy new hubs with the same bolt pattern as the long trailer and use the good wheels & tires from the long trailer. I will have to go to a trailer supply in Tucson and see if I can find the parts I need and if this is possible. Bearing races have to match. OR buy a new bigger trailer and just sale the other two. This is what I would like to do if I can find a DEAL on Craigslist. AND if I take the race trailer I will need to add a mount some way for the dirtbike if I want to bring it. The race trailer is too short. Bummer! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. CAN'T, would love to tho. House Guest coming next two weekends. Wedding next weekend. Insulation and electrical roughed into new bedroom so we are installing drywall & plaster next week. Biggie is we got the garden planted yesterday. I waxed the motorhome over a week, a little everyday. EVEN the top/roof! What a pain of a job. AND I still have the trailer mods to do. And I am losing this weekend to another commitment. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. The motorhome is all ready. I am working on my trailer. Decided to take my longer trailer, with dirtbike if enough room, and having to do some mods to handle the Trooper. It is narrower than the race trailer so I'm having to put the stock tires & wheels on the Trooper to load. Kind of like hauling a monster truck where they take off the huge tires in transport and put them back on when they arrive at their adventure location, LOL. Trooper is basically ready. Leaving the dirt on the body and cleaning just the air cleaner & windshield. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. Stevozz. Time will tell. I just did the mod this winter so have not had a hot season yet to run it in. BUT I didn't have a problem before. I just wanted to improve & lighten the rig. There is a pic in my gallery that shows what I did plus an old post of around Dec/Jan when I was doing the shock & cage upgrades. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. You can get used Nascar brake fans on ebay. I have four of them but have not mounted them yet. They attach to dryer vent hose / brake duct hose and can be directed air to where it is needed. Dust! I have found that you have to have a bit of air coming thu the firewall & under the bottom of the windshield to keep the dust in control. Not too much to make it windy, just enough to break the vacuum. I have tried having the windshield sealed to the top of the dash & limit air thu the firewall and you create a vacuum pulling the dust into the driver's area. I tried a half windshield and too much wind in the face. Found the best for US is about a 3/4 to 4/5 windshield. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Wix makes Napa filters and Napa most of the time charges more. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. Thanks, headed there this fall. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. I use it also. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. Where is there riding in Big Bend, TX.? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. As Lenny said, I took the plastic access panels to the upper mount on the rear shocks and turned them into EARS. Cut a opening in the front and shimmed the front out to act as air scoops. I also cut the rear of the center console to allow better air flow thu the front. I have since the last summer adventure did away with the closed top cover over the engine with expanded metal. Works on my Trooper. I also think the 31" tires lets me manage the RPM's better resulting in better temp control. Hope some of this helps & good luck. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico ps. I will say when I pulled the rad, I did not like the construction. Very heavy & fins are too close for good cooling. Lots of room for a better designed rad.
  14. Kinarfi, add Lenny's filter to the pinned info. You added my filter info a LOOOOONG time ago. I will go to Wix next time. thanks, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. Yes as Kinarfi say, beware of the backspacing/offset in the front wheels. If it is not correct the tie rods will hit the inside of the rim & you will not be able to turn the steering from side to side. No problem in the rear. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  17. Welcome! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. Looked it up on Google Earth, no problem with a motorhome. When we did hells revenge we were coming from town and must of turn just before the campground. Don't remember even seeing it. Of course it was the first trail we were going to do so I was so jazzed just looking at the slickrock. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. I just wish they would move it closer to AZ, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. I have walked to the bottom of Escalator, left the Trooper at the top, and watch a Rhino go up without any problems. It was our first day out and a couple of days before the Rally. I didn't want to take a chance of breaking anything but Trooper should be able to climb Escalator. The toughest one I have climbed is Steel Bender. I was roped but didn't need it. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. If you are camping, what campground? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  23. IF this happened, Anyone interested if you are still running? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. Sounds Great! But (there is always a but) you will have a rock crawler, not a Trooper anymore. But (there goes another one) this is not a negative. Look forward to seeing what you do as there maybe a middle ground between a stocker & what you are doing that may interest me. Thanks for letting us know about your project and POST PICS. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  25. Yep what Kinarfi pictured.
