My understanding is they are the same! If you could access the old parts manuals that use to be online, parts & numbers were the same. Silverbullet/Rick, Jarrad & the new factory guys would be the most knowledgeable. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Same as the Trooper only 12". Cheapest thing to do is find a set of Trooper wheels & use the tires until bald. Then replace from DiscountTireDirect, com or RockyMountain.com Both also have wheels if you want to buy aftermarket. The specs on the Trooper wheels can be found in one of the Pinned Topics at the top of the Joyner Forum. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Don't worry we all have bad days. I am sure the Fox 2.0 shock is the 8.5" shock and have it revalved to the rates I stated in my post of my shock upgrade or at run it then revalve. Length of the shock will have nearly nothing to do with the rate of damping. Weight is the key factor and that is nearly the same for my Trooper as yours. Springs, Flatbed's posts of a couple years ago is going to get you in the ballpark for your use. He is a racer and even his first shock setups would be great for everyday use. Just remember this is suppose to be Fun so don't let your Trooper mods lead you down a road of unhappiness. Better to leave it as is and just run it to death having fun. That other stuff you are dealing with, let your wife take care of it, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

What happen Mopartist? I don't understand why you are so upset? Did I miss something? Did something get deleted? Hang in there, no one is trying to upset you. We may rub each other on an occasion but no one on this forum wishes ill-willl on anyone. There is no one doing shocks for Troopers except source of King. Like I stated just look at Fox extended length & compressed length and match it to the stock shock. I beliieve the 8.5" shock is the one. Springs are a little tougher and may req'r a little trial & error. Hang in there, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico ps there are other sites where my post have been deleted, posters have been nasty but I am still there. I just a bad penny that will not go away so stay here and come over to the dark side. Admin knew this of me from other sites before he made me a Mod and I am telling you to have FUN & STAY HERE!

Some Trooper owners changed setups because Joyner's setup was just WRONG! Better than most UTVs but still not what it should be. IMHO the ride height was adjust to give "the largest ground clearance in the UTV market" rather than the best ride height. If you look at the rear axles they are already near the max extension angle of the CV joint. I worked to neutralize the angle but that met giving up ride height / ground clearance. On the plus side this removes load from the shocks and softens the ride improving the ride & performance. The 31" tires added the ground clearance back. It is not just as simple as this is the shock to use. It is more what do you want when you are finished. If you just want to replace the shock and probably improve a little performance, all you have to do is match up the extended length & compressed length to what ever brand of shock you like & install. It will be better but not optimum. Fox or FOA is the least expensive routes to take. My bias is Fox. Fox uses the FOA online site's spring calculate screen to size the spring/ springs. There are measurement you take & weighs, input to the screen and out pops their recommendation for a spring / springs. Valving on the shock is too stiff in the off-shelf configuration. I soften my damping greatly to get the performance I was looking for. Fox allows one revalving free with purchase. And I DO NOT have to USE limit straps. I do not run limit straps now as the shocks are doing the job they are suppose to. There is a detailed post of my shock upgrade on this site. Good Luck, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Welcome. Do get your Trooper under cover, Very Important of the life of your toy. Get a tarp or anything! Troopers don't like moisture, IMHO! Look forward to your adventures & we are here for your problems. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Tank has to be vented or recirculated back to the fuel intake system (smog setup). Sounds like you have just a tank so there has to be a vent on the tank or in the cap. Don't fill the tank full, leave the cap loose or off and take it for a run. If it has a carb, sounds like a the float bowl setting. The floats are set too low and you are running out of fuel. Good luck, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Thanks brostar.

HERE! Summer is here! Went for a dirtbike ride yesterday for 4 hours. Man is the desert dry. We have only had a half an inch of rain since Jan. 1. Only about an inch & half since last Sept. We are already behind 2" for the year rainfall total since Jan. Won't go out again until monsoon season, just too dusty & rock slippery. Three of us went out and all three of us went down twice. No big injuries but a little equipment breakage. I broke my hot start lever and the other two broke a rear fender & mirror. Little stuff. Still had a ball but sore this morning & I have to wash the Motorhome today. At least my better 3/4's is going to help me. Maybe that is the secret Len, your partner has to help you clean the toys to keep from getting hurt. Everyone have a great day! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Had to go into Tucson for shopping & drive thu the Saguaro National Park, http://www.saguaronationalpark.com/. This week is free fees in National parks as it is National Parks appreciation week. Glad we went for free as IMHO it was not worth the normal fees. Area should be developed and put on the tax roles and cut the work force. Another 5-10 years and most of the Saguaro will be dead. Pretty sad! Home encroachment around the park has eliminated the coyotes so the squires & mice are eating around the base of the Saguaros killing them. Doesn't help to have a steady stream of people going thu the area keeping the few coyotes in hiding while the little critters feed. Don't see anyway they can save them. We had just traveled thu the Indian Res west of Tucson and the drive thu the Saguaros on the Res was much nicer. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Lenny's computer has a lot of options and Silverbullet's doesn't. The options let you optimize the horsepower and/or torque and/or clean emissions and/or fuel mileage and more. The more options, the more choices. But the more options also requires more equipment & knowledge. Also can be more temperamental. I'm a big believer in the KISS principle, Keep It Simple Stupid when possible. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Not me! I go for quality, not quantity! Also some have called US fair weather souls & it is TRUE. LOL! But my Trooper is one of the OLDEST, one of the first fifty that had to be upgraded every time I turned around. I purchased mine in 2008. They came out in Sept & I took my home in Nov. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

hunnz, go to a good mulit-product ATV/UTV dealer and match up to a high quality USA boot. I found a Polaris boot that worked on my Trooper when I had to do a replacement. Then you can go an YouTube for videos of how change. All of my info, parts #, make and ect can be found in one of the pinned topics at the top of the Joyner forum page. WE hope the factory starts using/making better quality boots as the ones on my Trooper are NOT of the highest quality. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Agree with everyone including how Lenny says the locking works. I have a diff apart and I will try to post pics & measurements. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Also let how about price of cam & installation. Maybe worth the pull to Yuma! Better cam is one of the top priority items I have been wanting. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
