  1. Rattle is probably from the disk brake pads. It is not a problem. There is a clip used to hold pads in place to stop the rattle / clicking. Racers remove them or don't install to get max release from the calipers. Jack up the wheel and spin it! See if you can locate the location of the noise. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  2. sounds cool! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. I have been speaking to admin and he says there is no problem. I found that I had too many messages stored and had to delete some. Flatbed did also & I believe that is Lenny's problem also. Hopefully he will respond to you. If not soon you should edit your personal info out. If he does, edit your personal info out. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  4. Nope unless admin is running out of memory. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  5. Yeah, my understanding the oil will increase the rings ability and do nothing for the valve seals. This is a Chery car site that may have some insight into performance. Chery Automobile - China Car Forums I had the same thought if you could find someone that still understands grinding a cam. Maybe an aftermarket performance ignition for a GEO, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  6. Rings! Run her until she dies while saving your pennies. Start looking at what can be done to get more power / torque out of this engine. More torque would let it lug better thus rock climb better. Also won't hurt in the sand. Ideas! Torque Cam Match the ports rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  7. Kinarfi, where is a match when you need it? LOL! Hang tough. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  8. Plumber, You say you have contacted the rest of the dealers and they were not able to help. What is it you need? Maybe someone on here can help? rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  9. At this point I adhere to what Mama said, " If you can't say something good, don't say anything at all". Give them a chance! They are doing more and better then the freakin government with the economy! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  10. I will have to look at the auto trans as a future upgrade for MY Trooper. Mike, will the Diesel be with a Auto or Stick trans? rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  11. Yup, looks like the stuff from the Joyner auction is making it's way to Ebay! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  12. He didn't sale me anything. In fact he / they outbid me! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  13. When I saw Casey at the Joyner auction, he was very upbeat & positive about the future. Said they had many many Joyners pre-sold. Hopefully he wasn't talking about to dealers. Hopefully to end customers! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  14. Yes, air is to push out the back. Never thought or heard of that one! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  15. Flatbed, tried to send you a PM but site says you cannot receive them. PM me with you Tel #. I lost it! Tell R Hi for us. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  16. HI Flatbed!!!!!!!!!!! Boy is it good to hear from you. First we are going to do a winter trip to the sand area west of El Centro this winter as well as a couple of other areas. I was hoping you will be able to make it. Taking Feb. 2011. I am sending you a PM. Yes I would live to see ALL your stuff. Shocks, too many changing priorities! Not enough time or money, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  17. AND THEN, Put her back together and run her until she DIES! On a sirius side, I would pull the engine. Who knows you may have to have the cylinder walls bored / resurfaced & new pistons. I prefence is to pull the engine and do a complete overhaul. BUT when I reach this stage I am hoping we have figured out if the Subaru Engine will fit. If I do all that engine work I better have MORE POWER! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  18. Excellent! Which Fox shock did you purchase? rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  19. I have the same problem. My dealer in Tucson backed way off. Maybe with the new toys arriving in Aug he will step back up. I will update in Aug. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  20. Make sure the belt is on correct rotating the water pump. Make sure the vent tube on the purge tank is clear. Try taking off the rad cap and then start the engine. Does air/smoke come out? Is the coolant moving? Be Careful! After that I would pull the thermostat and replace with one of the new ones that when they fail, they fail open. The old ones failed closed and caused the engine to overheat. After that a pressure test of the coolant system and compression test to check the head gasket. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  21. Good!
  22. If you get a chance ride the new X-XC. That is the first quad I would buy if the thing was not nearly $15,000. Will have to wait until there are used ones. Report back to us if you make it and test ride! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  23. The engine has been durable, not the weak link. Not a Hot Rod engine but dependable. Some of the connectors & sensors have not bee as good quality. rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  24. Is it really getting hot. Some of the guys had bad temp sensor. What is in the cooling system? Water is not good enough in today's engines. You need coolant or water wetter. Are you having to add coolant to the system? rocmoc n AZ/Baja
  25. From my racing perspective, the values are too far apart (95-135). My SWAG would be new rings, sorry! I did notice the blue smoke coming out of your exhaust when I was following you around in Farmington. Have you been adding oil to the engine? Valve seat seal failure is usually from age. You have not had it long enough. Maybe dirt in the intake before you had a chance to upgrade your filter! Are the plugs in the low compression cylinders dirty? Run it until it dies. If the plugs start fowling, go to a colder plug. BURN that oil, BP is! LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Baja
