  1. Just heard from Daven in Farmington. They spotted Kinarfi at the Glade. We have one of our adventurers at the Glade. Hopefully he is at the right / best campsite. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Weather is looking really favorable for the weekend. See ya tomorrow. I will check-in in the morning before we leave as that will end our Internet access. We carry 5 batteries so we will be fine. Check the Gen this morning and it ran fine. Hopefully it will do the same in Farmington. We are just laying around and resting from our daytrip. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Thanks for the morning chuckle! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. We are in Chama, NM about two hours East of Farmington on Hwy 64. We are doing a daytrip to Durango, CO & Pagosa Springs, CO tomorrow. Drove over a mountain range today from Taos, Elevation was 10,557' at the summit per our GPS. This was the highest elevation I have ever driven, KOOOOOL! Having a problem with our gen, it will not stay running. Will try to correct also tomorrow or friday or we are living off batteries at the Glade. No AC! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  7. Spoke to Daven, the Farmington Joyner Dealer, yesterday and he is meeting us at the begining of Glade Road Friday. We will mark the route to the camp with the ORANGE flagging. Currently in Corrales, NM. and will move on to Chama, NM. Wednesday. Leave for Farmington Friday morning which is only a couple hours drive at that point. It has been HOT here but the weekend forecast is looking GREAT! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. I adjusted the A - arms as much as I could and then too a LARGE hammer to the firewall. Lenny runs the same and he cut-out and modified his firewall. Front fenders no problem. I had the first / early rear fenders and I broke them to heck. Now have new modified fenders and will not put them on until I repaint this next year. I just used a jig saw and cut away the broken part of the fender that was hitting the tire. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. I am running 31X10.50X15 Dunlops, Dunlop Radial Mud Rover Purchased on Cragslist for $125 for 4. A guy took them off his Jeep to go larger and had a little wear but will last my lifetime on the Trooper. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. Very Nice! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. MORE! I am also going to use ORANGE flagging/surveying tape and tie pieces along the way from the Blacktop Road / Pinon Hills Rd to the campsite. Watch for the pieces of ORANGE hanging / flapping on Glade road. I will place multiple pieces at each turn. I should be there around noon on Friday! Weather is showing warm, in low 90's during the daytime and 50's at night. I will have a list of Wifi hotspots for Farmington with me. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. How much to bring a set of the door mounts & door tubes to Farmington? I am sirius! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. I carry enough tow strap and tie-down straps to reach to most anything. I had the same thing happen to me once except was high-centered. Did not carry anything with me then except what was on the winch. Luckily a Jeep happened by and let me hook to the back of him and winched myself free. Since then I carry a LOOOOONG tow strap. rocmoc n AZ./Mexico
  14. Place the fan & fuel pump on their own circuit. You can purchase an in-line fuse for protection at any parts house. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. I have the same aluminum top. I used diamond plate and turned the diamonds inside with the smooth side out like yours. I used a piece of aluminum flat and laid the lights down like a sun visor. I can remove two bolts and stand the lights up if I wish to use them. Have not be stood up in two years. MORE, MORE! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. Interesting & looking good. Keep posting pics. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. My sending unit is junk. I ran out of fuel with it showing full. A tank full of fuel ago, I ran out with it showing 1/4 tank. I just can't count on it for anything. At any rate, I have learned to carry a one gal. fuel can with me. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. I normally run 10-40 or 20-40 in everything. I run 20-50 in my race car. I will try to find the Mobil 1 bottle in a little bit and tell you for sure what is in my Trooper. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  22. Next time! I am going to try and get Lenny & Kinarfi to to have it in their playground, near their homes, next year. That way maybe we could have a tech session plus rides. They are the guys with the know and wouldn't it be great if we could leave the weekend with better Troopers than we came with. Planting the seed guys, will talk in Farmington. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  25. Directions to camping: From downtown Farmington Hwy 64 heads West out of town. Near town edge and just West of the Airport take Hwy 170 North/Right to Pinon Hills Road, just north of the Airport, and turn East/Right. Continue East to Glade Road & turn North/Left. Glade Road parallels a wash into the Glades off-road area. We will place a sign & small orange cone on Glade Road where we turn off to camp. We will be the large White Toyhauler/Fifth Wheel trailer without decals except a round Red SCCA Decal and the #6 near the rear on both sides. Tow vehicle is a Silver Dodge Ram. We should arrive early afternoon the 11th. We will have internet service and can be reached until we depart from Albuquerque in the morning of the 11th. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
