  1. Had the same thing happen. It does make a loud bang. Wielded it back in place with a good strong brace. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Called Off Road Warehouse and I will be meeting with Jason Thursday afternoon or Friday, whichever day I can get over there. I have taken all of the required measurements of the new shock mount locations, a copy of all of Flatbed's shock posts and one of the shocks off the Trooper.. It looks like these are the shocks Off Road Warehouse - Shocks Fox Shocks 2.0 Fox Coil-Over Emulsion Shocks Fox Shocks 2.0&quot X 12.0&quot Emulsion Coil-Over #980-99-009-A or or or Off Road Warehouse - Shocks Fox Shocks 2.0 Fox Coil-Over Emulsion Shocks Fox Shocks 2.0&quot X 12.0&quot Emulsion Coil-Over #980-99-009-A The Extended length in the new location is 27" and Collapsed 20 1/2". The concern I have about the 10" shock is at rest there is less than 3" of Extended travel and will the sweet spot of the valving be missed. With the longer 12" shock at rest the shock should be in the sweet spot of the valving but will give up an inch of Collapsed travel. This should be OK as most of the existing travel is in the Collapse travel. This is something the shock expert will have to address. I was surprised to find that the factory shocks are working in an almost fully extend position with only 2" of Extended travel remaining & 6 " of collapse. Will update over the weekend. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Even if you had a plugged injector, it should TRY to start and run. Will not be smooth but it will still run. IF you are getting fuel, I would be surprised if it is the injectors themselves. Sensors & circuitry more likely. Injectors are more reliable than a carb IMHO! Joyner Dealers, any ideas? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. Turbo lag!, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. where is the tps located? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. gates, need pics of the cage mod. I have wanted to do the same. The steering wheel has never bothered me because in most of my race cars the wheel was never on center. In road-racing the distance to the wheel is extend the arm full length and the wheel should hit the fold of your wrist. Circle track, as close as is comfortable. So I don't care where the thing is as long as it is on the trail. LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. How about fuel, whar are you guys running that are having the power loss problem? I run plain old premium pump gas. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. Funny, our seats are almost ALL the way forward. Of course we are smaller humanoids. I did put spacers under the front of the seats to tilt rearwards. The seats were too straight up for us. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Test drive them ALL! Dealer support is very important! All of the manufactures make rescue models. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. Better ride! One spring is softer than the other and takes the first smaller part of the load / bumps . When compression / load is greater the stronger spring takes over for big bumps. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. Now that is funny rick! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. gates98, what is a tps? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. If it is not Lenny's idea, just had another thought. Is anyone with the original tank in front, the first version of fuel tank, having this problem? My tank is the front mount and no problem, YET! Because of my tank location, the fuel system is always under pressure even if it is ever so small a pressure. The pump is not sucking from a dry source, the fuel is always there. My fuel pump is below the fuel in the tank. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. Thanks Rick, that rules out one possible cause. Will be interesting when the cause is finally found. Will be of great value to the rest of us as sooner of later we may end up with this problem. Maybe you could borrow someone's sensor near you to see if that is the problem. Did you check with Jarad on this site to see if he has one? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. Thanks Dick! I am not using the original mount locations and will have a much longer throw / shock length. Will not be a problem but I still use limit straps. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. Don't think it is a ground problem. Sensor or Computer more likely! You may have to slowly but carefully change out each until the bad component is found. This may require changing one out and driving it for a while as intermittent problems are hard to find. Won't be able to just change one out and start up the Trooper up and move on to the next one. Shops hate this kind of stuff! Have or were the Troopers having this problem used in wet weather, water crossings or Washed / Cleaned? Maybe we can find a correlation with dampness and the problem. I rarely clean and if I do carefully my Trooper with water. Live in a very dry climate with few if any water crossings. I'm not having any of these problem. IMHO the Trooper is not water tight enough for use in weather or washings. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. I found that when I R&R'd my engine it already had 3 grounds on the engine as part of the electrical system and the motor mounts are direct bolt to the frame & engine/trans. IMHO don't waste time with another ground. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. I thought Ruesch went out of business last summer. Let us know if you are able to contact them. I heard this at the UTV Rally last summer at Moab. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. We will be traveling to So. Cal. in a couple of weeks and I am going into order / pickup my Fox Shocks with springs. I will take drawings of the geometry of the swing arms & mounts with the rear corner wieghts. Off-Road Warehouse's shock guy has a program he sticks the data in to help with the setup of the shock. I will post ALL of the info. I am only doing the rears at this time. Hopefully when I travel back in the fall I will be able to justify the fronts being purchased. Will have to remember I have moved the lower mount location so the complete setup will not be of value to everyone. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. Hello Lenny, LOL! If you think I am bad, next time out the better 3/4s will drive. BUT she is on the Insurance! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. Hello Rick, Sorry a missed your question about insurance. Yes I am still with Fischer (sp). What I did was change the tags thu the OHV use tag to Mostly off road and a very small amount on the street. And I am Liability only. I will fix any damage I do to the Joyner. Martin, Where are YOU? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  22. Welcome! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. Come on EVERYBODY! Add yourself to the map. If you don't want to show your true exact location, do something nearby. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. When are parts going to be available thu our Dealers? OR are they cutting out the local Dealer? rocmoc n TX/AZ/Mexico
  25. Mike don't know what you mean about the wheels. I do know the rears will not work on the front. I tried and they hit the tie-rods when you try to turn. Wheels look like they are in their stock locations to me. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
