  1. Just found the surplus Joyners form HQ for sale on Ebay. Troopers are listed in the $7,000. They have also listed some parts so if there is something you need check Ebay. I made a offer on a couple of wheels and was rejected. I also notice the big Joyner Dealer in Texas must have been given a heads up because they have lowered the prices on their modified Joyners, a lot! Looks like everyone is trying to dump their stock before the public finds out and they are stuck with it. Sad! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Closed, gone, no more. Left everyone hanging, did not even tell the dealers. What Joyner Toys remained at HQ were sent to Auction and the building was raped clean of everything. A formally notice is suppose to be made this week and officially closed nest week. Not to worry as most parts can be found, only area of concern as expressed by Lenny and I agree, are the Diffs. More important than ever to take care of them and possibly upgrade if needed with Lenny's Diff Kit. We all now have Collectibles. Life moves on and our Troopers are still fun. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Just glad you are back! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. If she makes it, I will count that as your test. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. The rider's test of making the Triple Jump just before the Table Top going into a U-turn isn't that bad. Practice, practice, practice and I will get the Test Course ready. LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. I registered a '82 Suzuki I bought new and raced for years last Jan '09. Later because of how I registered it, a notice came for proof of Insurance. I wrote DMV stating that I ride it only on my own property and I would not be insuring it. I heard nothing in return and assumed everything was fine. I have decided to get a OHV sticker for it and was charged a $52 penalty. So beware, once registered they expect you to stay on top of the registration even if use is only on your own property. Good News is OHV is purchased and now visitors have a bike to ride. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. Koool, I enjoyed! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. Don't think about Fed Taxes until July. Already have my Garmin but don't have my Mexico chip yet. SO, will have to move on to INSURANCE. Called Markel American Insurance who is suppose to specialize in Toys and had our Trooper listed in their covered Toys. But when I called they said it had TOO MANY cc's and will not cover. They were more than happy to cover my dirt bikes but not the Trooper so I declined. SO, I called Marc Fischer and said I wanted to make changes to the Trooper's policy and wanted to insure 2 dirt bikes. Changed the Trooper to Liability only with no Comp or Collision, suppose to be between $65 & $91. The dirt bikes are $75 each as that is the min any Insurance Company will write a policy for. I have been told this before by Progressive when they Insured my Street Bike. So in the end I will be paying the same as before as the Trooper's old policy but will have reduced coverage and include the two dirt bikes. With the new OHV Sticker Program in AZ you can ride part-time on the street with a dirt bike but you have to have Insurance thus coverage on the dirt bikes. So now I move on to the next problem. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Yes, he is my present agent and this year is $212. I always revisit my Insurance cost the third year of the policy to see if there is a better price out there. Most of the time there IS! I found another Company yesterday that showed the Trooper in their list of UTVs so I am calling them today. I will share what I find out. I did the online quote for my dirt bikes and they were much cheaper. When I input the Trooper the site said I had to call. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. Az Bound, Thanks for my evening chuckle! LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. I have to think about it. Too many toys and the Insurance Cost is getting out of control. Insurance is a sore spot with me, a legal scam! Only thing worth is CREDIT, the drug of choice in USA. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. Does anyone else have insurance on their Trooper? Mine is up for renewal, $212/yr for full coverage & max $ amounts. Required in AZ if you drive on the street. Also who with? I am with Foremost Insurance, the only one so far to insure it. Thanks, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  13. Fox. Read some of the older post, a lot of info. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. Nope!
  15. Agree, from the front of the rad to the rear. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. Welcome scimaro. I agree about changing the trans oil. I run Royal Purple in Trans & both Diffs. Cost more but worth it! I also run Mobil 1 in the engine. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. I was having a Senior moment when I wrote my post, my ratchet was a come along. After I had a great amount of pressure on the come along & driveline, I believe it was the penetrating oil that was the final trick. I soaked/sprayed it and let it sit for a couple of hours before the final hammer tap. I agree, great source of info and many ways to solve the same problem. When I ran my Engineering & Planning teams, I use to tell them the same thing. Don't come to me for the answer as there are many, come up with your own & then we will review/talk about it. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. I put a bolt thu the yoke and thu the end of a piece of chain. I used a compound cable ratchet and hooked one end to the chain and the other end to the trailer ball of my truck. I then put a 4X4 beam/board between the end of the trailer hitch and the rear X-member on the Trooper. AND started ratcheting. Soaked the end of the yoke with penetrating oil and tapped the Yolk on the side with a hammer. The thing came flying out. Took about 1 hour. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. Welcome, got ya on your other post. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. Welcome, glad to see you made it over from ridinAZ. They didn't give me the fenders but got everything else. When I was doing the engine pull I had a chance to look really close at the radiator. IMHO, the tubes are too close and fins are too small to be a truly effective radiator and it is HEAVY. Replacement is on my future upgrade list. Do search of Joyner on this site, there has been a bunch of post around the cooling system. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. You didn't show the next one.
  22. Rev it a small amount. The current engines, in everything, have sooo many sensors it makes it difficult to diagnose without a code reader. I would try to eliminate the trouble is not in the fuel system first. That is the easiest. If you have to go into the electrical, you will need a shop with tools. Speed sensor reads the speed, sends info to computer and the computer makes adjustment for current speed/environment. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. When starting Cold with my Trooper; Sounds like your Trooper acts like mine when started. Loss of power; Try leaving the gas filler lid loose or off. Maybe the returns are plugged some way. Could be a speed sensor? I think no one has responded because you are the first to have this problem and no one has a solution. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. My error that I have never posted our Joyner Host's website. http://www.farroffroad.com/ rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  25. Kinarfi, There will be plenty of both. Just like last year, we will be able to play individually near the camp in the rocks. Plus we/you don't have to go with the main group, there can be more than one. My hope is it will be similar to Moab where you run for a distance, challenge a rough section (hill/rocks/sand&more) and enjoy the view afterward. I will communicate your concern to Daven. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
