  1. We leave from the campground. Both Dry & hookups are nearby per Daven. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Farmington, New Mexico in early June 2010 is the tentative date for this Off-Road Adventure. There is dry camping & KOA style camping avialable. Many many sidetrips besides off road fun so plan for side trips in you pull vehicle. We will be also going to Taos and more locations. Daven also said it is only a 30 minute trailer pull to some additional off-roading in the Colorado Rockies. This trip is a mix of off-roading includes Moab to Marysville types. UTV, ATV and single track are welcome. More detailed info to follow! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. I love the torque of diesel. I am leading towards the first part of June as June is the worst month to be here at home in the summer. 2nd par of June & 1st part of July is already committed. I will get with Daven, the Joyner dealer in Farmington, and see if that works for him. For now this is just a off-road trip not taking the place of what Cinda is putting together. I am no way trying to replace Cinda's efforts. Interesting side note: I posted today on the chinacarforum.com site asking if anyone has additional info about our engine. They do the most exchange of information about China built products I have been able to find. I will update if anything comes of the quest. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. YES they do. Here is a site with info for all states. http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:udWI9...=clnk&gl=us rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. I know you can in AZ & CO. I am pretty sure it is OK in NM but I will contact NM and make sure. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. Will start working on the Trooper again this week. I have been down with the Pig Flu. Recovery is SLOW! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. OK, I am back on the Farmington, NM kick. Those who attended the 1st Rally are ALL just about equal distance from Farmington. Tubac 521 miles Las Vegas 527 miles Hurricane 414 miles and hopefully, Alpine 737 miles, Sorry Flatbed you can stop over at our place or we can hookup in Phoenix. And who knows who would come from the EAST. At any rate I AM going to Farmington some time between June and August 2010. I checked temps and they are not a problem because you are in the mountains. But July & August can be wet. What ya think? We will be also visiting some of the tourist stuff besides 4 wheeling. There is lots to see & do! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. WOW did we miss a new Trooper Owner. WELCOME! Check the local race track. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Nope, have found that most of the add-ons are not worth the $. Money better spent on a garage to park in out of the weather. JMHO! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. Silverbullet, sent you a PM. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico/CO
  11. SilverBullet, Car 54 where are you? I can provide an exact date if that would be better. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. Joyner. Have to go thu your dealer or A dealer. The parts finder feature on teamjoynerusa site with the pricing still works! rocmoc
  13. Kool, when? So, no cost! I will be coming thu in Nov. Can I drop them off and pick them up when I return in 5 days? Will be the 3rd week of Nov. Drop off on Tues/Wed and pickup the following Monday! Again, not cost?!!! Front & Rear! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. Are they going to rebuild the diffs? New parts? What if you are out of warranty? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. Kinarfi, I believe SilverBullet is only talking about the engager, not the diff itself. SilverBullet, am I right? The Warranty work/upgrade spoke of first is only the engager, not the diff. But You did just mention the future CV front driveline, is that a possible future freebie from Joyner (parts only)? Thanks for hanging with us even tho some of us (me) gets a bit pushy on an occasion. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. I have wondered, The front & OLD rear drivelines were of the same construction. The old rear driveline had to be replaced with a CV style driveline. How long will the front driveline hold up? Is there going to be a CV style driveline replacement for the front? Will we have to pay for it, LOL? Will we even be given a break in the price of the replacement? This is of concern as the front driveline is turning all the time just as the rear but without load. Still those poorly made, non grease-able U-joints are stll being worked. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. Have not had any problems with the engager! LOL! Sounds like a term we would have heard a year ago on the political scene and I'm not saying who but he was wayhi up in the admin. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. Lenny, I sent you an email. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. Forgot to add I purchased the old clutch with the metal clips. Indication was it was a different clutch & pressure plate on the new Troopers. Since i have one of the first 50, I have the metal. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. When I purchased my clutch, I found out there are now two different clutches. The newer Troopers take a clutch that has diff springs & plastic clips (I would have concerns about plastic that close to a heat source) and the older (which I have) has the metal clips. Lenny, I also got new brake pads. At $6 a corner, not hardly worth looking for another or bonding a new surface to the backing plates. The pads don't have alot of meat on them but mine lasted nearly two years so it is something I can deal with. Pads are about the only deal thus far! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. WELCOME! You have a GREAT dune location, http://www.duneguide.com/sand_dune_guide_l...e_sahara_ok.htm. It will require diff tires for max FUN! I want to make it there one of these days. Enjoy! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  22. Trans is repaired. Casey & crew did a GREAT job, repaired in 3.5 hours. BUT what a long day. Up at 5am, at their shop at 8am and home at 5pm. TIRED! Now I have to pull and do Lenny's upgrade to the rear diff before I reinstall the engine. New output shaft, bearing & seals. I will put a new clutch & throwout bearing in while it is apart. Getting closer! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. I went to the local muffler shop and purchased a QUIET cherry bomb muffler. Auto Zone has all the nessary connections & clamps. Installed and it is as quiet as the little old lady driving to church. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. There is another adjustment at the peddles. You have to pull the peddles down and adjust the same type of rod to make sure you are getting full hydraulic movement from the master cylinder. The rod is probably screwed in so the master is producing only part of the force needed. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  25. Kinarfi, I was worried that I had upset you! I'm fine. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico edit ---- no not me, we're here to have fun, maybe do a little teasing --- kinarfi
