  8. Thanks! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  9. Sorry nope! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  10. The stock shocks are not that great. Replacing the shocks should be on your future upgrade list. Easiest thing would be to find a used one and replace your shock. Keep your old shock for the day when you blow a shock, it will happen someday! Shock replacement was my NEXT upgrade until I broke the tranny (my fault). rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  11. Not yet, but I will be pulling my engine next month and will get back to you. BUT, any tricks or pains you can share about pulling the engine. I am going to take digital pics of all the wiring and present state of the engine to help with the reinstall. What should I look out for? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  12. Daven was working with a clutch specialist and the indication was it was a stronger & better clutch. I will be putting one in myself while the trans is out. Sure can't be weaker! rocmoc n Mexico
  13. Hi Megz, glad you are still here. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  14. I will mention: After we broke the rear drive at Moab, we had to drive back to town with only the front drive. Never hear it before when in 4wd, but I was getting a clunking sound when I was letting off the gas and applying the gas. Makes me suspicious after reading Lenny's thread. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. ksimpsy, Daven at Farr Offroad in Farmington, NM, Tel # 928-242-2709 has found a aftermarket upgrade, met him at the UTV Rally. Good guy, give him a call & a little business. He did a lot of legwork to find a replacement. I think the clutch was made by Performance Friction. Good vendor, I have used their brakes on my race cars and presently have them on my truck. Side note: getting closer to working on the Trooper. Toyhauler is fixed and son is coming this weekend to help me with the new roof. After that the Trooper moves up to number two on the To Do List. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. Welcome! What is your normal name on other sites? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  17. Chrysler was working a deal for Chery to build and ship what they called a World Car. But the 4 cylinder engine was suppose to be a copy of the old Chevy Geo engine built in Korea. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  18. Kinarfi, two for $222.22! I am sure Lenny's instructions will be super along with pics and your pics should be easy. Finding time is the hard part. Currently I am rebuilding the wall between the garage & the living area in the Toyhauler. After 55,000+ miles, she was coming apart. Will finish this morning then I have to start working on the roof the the house for monsoon season. It never ends! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico Kinarfi, two for $222.22! That's not what I said and you know it!!!!!! But yes, it's not to tough of a job and we'll have lots of picts Sorry for the edit. Kinarfi
  19. Lenny you made me chuckle. Where in the world did you come up with that number, $444.44 would have been enough. I know what your are saying about being buried in projects, that's why the Trooper is sitting in the garage still broken from Moab. I have projects with parts I bought over 10 years ago that have not even been started and I work on something everyday. Take care and holler when you're ready, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. Lenny, no hurry. I'm not going to have time to work on the trans until July/Aug so the diffs are after that. Just let me know when you are ready. You know I was kidding about the MasterCard but I will take you up on the PayPal. Do you have an installed price, not kidding? Thanks, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. The Chery engine is suppose to be a copy of the Chevy Geo. I would try looking there first. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  22. Lenny, does the $90/diff include shipping? Do you take MasterCard? (LOL!) I will take TWO for my Trooper. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. AGREE! lol! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  24. Glad to have you aboard! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  25. Boy are you lucky. I would have loved to have had diff trouble compared to what I did. You could also contact a good local Speed/Race/Off-Road Shop. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
