  1. K. I've seen that on ebay. Some of my mods - fuse box and 4x4 manual lever can be seen here. I have a few more things done, but nothing major. I was hoping to hear about suspension choices... http://www.pauldaytonscifi.com/spotlight.html
  2. Lenny has a steering kit???
  3. Here's the place where everyone can describe their mod that really made a difference. Pics would be really helpful. I'm not referring to the 'must do' list of mods, but rather to stuff like suspension, electrical and so on that made your machine better. #1 on what I would like to see is suspension. Charlie installed some awesome shocks, but what have you done? Cost / supplier / how it helped would be awesome...
  4. Only one way to find out...
  5. What shocks do you have? And I may have to copy your system. Hope you didn't patent it
  6. Did you notice any issue with having the IAC still hooked while using the idle screw?
  7. VERY CLEAR. Thanks Kinarfi. By the way, what's that cylinder you have in the foreground? And I like your limiting strap setup.
  8. Hmmm. I'll have to take a closer look. When I disconnected the rad switch, my faulty temp gauge that had the needle flopping all over the place stopped working completely. My idiot light never did light at all. So I figured that this switch was for the gauge. Either my machine is wired different (possible but not probable) or then the gauge just happened to quit when I disconnected the switch. Thanks Kinarfi. Either way, I'll be doing what Lenny suggested - tap another hole at the head.
  9. Ahhh. My new gauge has a 1/8 TP fitting, so it's nice and small. I've got it on the rad, but I'll move it after my trip home. I can bring tools and all my taps, an issue that has been driving me batty.
  10. So, did you disconnect the IAC like Lenny did, and just run it on the idle screw?
  11. I could see it now. Thanks Lenny. I haven't felt any issue on the riding - but if I ever put street tires on it I'm sure I would.
  12. The front of the head is so much better, with a more accurate reading. The sensor is on the left of the head. Did you put yours on the right?
  13. For those replacing the water temp gauge with an aftermarket, the sending unit for the dash gauge is at the rad, lower right. The one at the head must be for the ECM... This is not ideal as the coolant has already been cooled, but hey.
  14. Wait till you see this!!! YOWZA. Where can I get one of these??? Do I have to be a JEDI to get it? http://www.nbcnews.com/technology/futureoftech/hover-bike-lets-you-drive-jedi-956125
  15. I could picture that. In my case it's that both tires, right and left are pointed out by 1/2 inch each, as if the mount angle is wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't change as the tire moves through it's travel, right Lenny?
  16. Have any of you guys noticed that the T2 back wheels are out of alignment? Mine are, but everything looks ok otherwise - nothing twisted or bent.
  17. Ouch. For me, that represents 1/4 of the cost of the vehicle.
  18. They look awesome. What do they go for, if you don't mind my asking?
  19. The same shocks and springs??? Wow. Makes no sense. Well, so much for the cheap fix.
  20. I was curios of the T4 rear shocks are interchangeable with the T2. I have people sitting on a back seat I put on, and I need something cheap that works. Is i the same shocks but heavier springs, or completely different units? Anyone know?
  21. That's why I put a gauge up front, where I can see it.
  22. Ouch Noc. If you've double-checked all your wiring, than the only thing I can think of is to trace the ECM wiring from the fuse box to source. The rad fan wire is on a separate circuit/wiring loom, as far as I can remember. Is your rad fan relay ok, or is it damaged / stuck? You may have two separate issues. Mine melted when my fuse melted (damned cheap fuses) Try switching fan relays to see if the fan instantly turns on with a different relay. Another possibility is that one of the tie wraps is so tight that it wore through several wires and there's a short. It's a long shot, but hey...
  23. A new fuel pump? Have you checked the fuel pressure? It should be running near 60 psi
  24. Yeah, I get kids, dads and moms laughing and smiling when they see me and my mud machine.
  25. I've only seen them in 15". I haven't looked everywhere though, so this may be an option. I hope so - having only one choice of tire sucks.
