  5. Hey, I like rocmoc's solution. Kurt G
  6. heh...I was going over the buggy last night and noticed my fan belt had jumped a rib and wore a hole in the plastic timing belt cover....Anyone have an idea how much of a pain this is gunna be to replace ????
  7. Wife is for it... Kurt G 4
  8. Guess I wasn't clear in my last post about rates/springs......I meant to ask if anyone (flatbed?) had thoughts on this for the stock mounted shorter shocks....I agree that flatbed did the ultimate shock job (which would have also looked cool sticking thru the hood).......... I am trying to research which way to go and get an idea for $$$ and changes needed to the frame....Depending on my cash flow, I like to have an idea of how far I'm willing to go with this... I have offroaded for a few years, raced dwarf cars and such but I always deffered to others for shock/spring input.....
  9. Now the next question would be what damp/rebound numbers and spring rate do you all think the "shorter" replacement type shocks should have ??? The long shocks are using dual rate springs...Can this be done on the shorter shocks ??? Or are there progressive rate springs that are desirable ??? Just some questions, I am trying to see what direction I will go on mine.....I'm not too keen on the $2500 price of the Kings tho........
  10. Anyone seen these before ??? Price is $$$ http://www.tobefast.com/king-1100-trooper-...r-10000175.html Kurt G
  11. Hey, I'm in Vegas and Paiute3 is nearby in Henderson...... I would like to get together for a ride with enough lead time to put it on the calender............ Would be great to meet and see modifications in person....... Kurt G
  12. Found a 14mmx 755mm replacement that works..........It is on and the Joyner is now my backup..... carquest #K040292 wooo-hooo Kurt G.
  13. Has anyone come up with a replacement besides Joyner ??? Mine started squeeling the other day and I figured I better get a backup..... Can't find a 4 rib that matches so far.... Kurt G
  14. Lenny, Sounds like your realy getting this thing figured out.......Just curious if it would be easier/ possible to get an off the shelf rack to fit your needs ??? I understand you enjoy prototyping, I envy you guys that have those talents......
  15. Welcome I enjoy hearing how owners from all over the world are abusing and modifying their machines......
  16. Welcome to a great learnig/sharing place......
  17. flatbed, Any updates on your shocks ??? Kurt G
  18. OK, here's my question: Looking at the 14" tires available, I noticed the Interco SSR & TSL tires are very agressive patterned and weigh 31- 37 pounds each. Compare this to the Toyo tire which is less agressive but only weighs about 24 pounds.......... What are your thoughts pro/con on these tires/weight effects..... I run mostly desert (Las Vegas) and am curious what more experianced people think before I buy.......... Thanks, Kurt G
  19. I think I used the search function properly but I couldn't find the pros and cons of using truck tires vs ATV type tires.... Would you all post your thoughts on this please ??? Along with your performance experiances ??? I have used Bighorns on a Rhino in the past and was very pleased with thier performance and abilities..... I am in need of new tires for the desert (Las Vegas) and mountain trails (Duck Creek, UT area)........My stockers are leaking out the sidewall..... Kurt G
  20. Jimmy, The replacement was my clutch knee....lol....Much better now .... The 1100 is a great motor...It pushes this heavy beast around pretty darn good....The LJ Tech was SO inferior in build, I was nervous every time I took it out..... I just didn't have the time to constantly work/fix it....This Joyner may be heavy but it has evolved to be much better than when you had one.... I am very happy with it, but I would still like a "sporty " 2wd buggy to thrash... Something like the Joyner 800 would be fun if price was lower....Actually most any of the single seat mini buggies would be a gas except for $$$$$..... I tend to get into my "Rallye Car" fantasy when I am in the T2 alone...heh...I'd hate to wreck it and not have anything for my wife to enjoy.... Kurt G
  21. Hi Jimmy....A knee replacement and work have put a bit of a dampner on my riding time....I have about 260 miles on it and have had no problems...My Bro-in law still has the 650 and he snapped a rear lower a-arm hitting an unexpected hardpack woop...... Looking forward to doing the Fox shocks like people are doing on here.....and maybe the 15" wheels w/BFG's for tires.... We were just out at Logandale and I got a pic.... Also have taken it in Duck Creek, UT area and was great on the trails.... Cinda & George, I'd like to get together...I live NW area....Like to ride to Mt Charleston Lodge when it's warmer.... rocmoc, I'm not sure about Moab but I am interested....Just gotta make sure work doesn't get in the way...
  22. I'm Kurt G, live in the great city of Las Vegas, NV..... Have had dirt bikes, quads, sxs's and raced Dwarf cars..... Current toy is a T2 to which I look forward to playing with.... Oh, I guess you could almost call me a Vegas native, I been here 30+ years....
