  1. Have to call it Click-21..
  2. LOL! If it's rapid clicking it ain't getting enough juice for the solenoid to hold. If it just clicks 1 time when you turn the key something else possibly
  3. Got the new cable installed. The old cable has green corrosion at both exposed ends. I notice the new cable is heat shrinked on both ends.
  4. don't you hate it when a 5 min job turns into a 30 or 60 minute job. apparently i don't have the proper AWG bullet connector to splice in the small white + wire that goes to the keyswitch. i would cut off the new connector on the new wire, but i don't want to twist the wires and solder it, my soldering skills are worthless. a monkey could do better. so off to Willis to the parts store!
  5. i use Rotella, supposedly has more zinc than delo, delo around 1200 PPM and rotella at 1300 ppm. at least thats what i read.
  6. I doubt it's the solenoid lug , as i have. Tried 2 starters and 4 solenoids on it, but electricity is crazy sometimes. Yes i have made sure the stud isn't coming loose on the solenoid and have tried wiggling the connection while holding the key in start. Not sure if I have tried it in the ccw manner you mentioned so ill give that a shot. Thanks!
  7. when it's cold outside i usually let the mule idle for about 2 minutes, that gives me time to load up the feed and whatnot. when i carry alot of feed or a heavy load i try to not to go too slow, since the engine is air cooled, air cooled engines cool best at higher RPM and a heavier load will make it work harder heat up more. i also quit using automotive oil in it and either use Kawasaki Engine division oil or Diesel engine oil.
  8. It must be about pull something on you
  9. New cable just got delivered. Looks better than the original one. It's sleeting right now so ill put it on tomorrow. Another Plus on the part number tag it says Made In USA 🇺🇸
  10. my + cable is out for delivery. funny thing, my starter (or whatever is causing the problem) has not acted up in almost a week, however if you read Joe Breaux's thread "BRRR" i said my fuel pump froze up, and at that time i was cranking it over several times checking for pulse, at the pump and it did act up then and clicked several times after repeated short cranks... not saying its related to the pump, but cranking it over that much in that short period, i wonder if the cable isn't able to carry the load of thats being drawn repeatedly in that short time.
  11. There is no nut on the battery. The terminals are split in the middle and a square threaded insert is what the bolt screws to while cable end is clamped to the post.
  12. that is mentioned here https://www.dixiebattery.com/products/golf-compare
  13. And it's sickening to see what some "famous" people are saying about his passing.
  14. guess this was the dark winter he mentioned.
  15. I'd say thats a good reason to move to Florida.
  16. Supplement is the correct word.
  17. and since those turbines supply nearly 30% of the power grid, people who don't need to be losing power are losing power. luckily we're on the power grid from LOUISIANA.
  18. we're at 10 now, got down to 8. Weatherman is saying more snow Wednesday. 1-4"
  19. i don't know how they do it either. All i know is i'm fine with this weather once every few decades. It almost made me think about installing an electric fuel pump... i know other have done it on similar models, but then again, first time it's ever frozen in 20 years, i think i'll be good.
  20. Had a first today... my fuel pump froze up. It's a crankcase vacuum pump, so there is a line from the crankcase to the pump. and usually you get a little condensation in the tube, and it froze up right inside of where the tube connects to the pump, got some rubbing alcohol to dissolve the ice and that fixed it... probably have to do it again tomorrow. but soon enough the warm air from the crankcase will prevent it for a little while after you kill it. it'd been about 5 hours since i had driven it....
  21. My Mule fired right up after about 3 seconds, i did have to adjust the pilot a little richer to idle though. about 5 minutes ago i put a Dr. Pepper outside covered in the snow, i just got it out. it's almost iced. we're at 19 right now... was down to 14. supposed to be 2° tonight. stay warm Joe.
  22. got snow everywhere this morning, about 3" or so. Dogs sure loved playing in it!
