  1. i doubt it, Personally if i were in the market for a new side by side, i'd rather pay 5-6 K for a good used Mule or Ranger than say, a new massimo or chinese unit.

    Hello

    Welcome to the UTV Board!!
  3. That would be my next step.
  4. I'd replace the battery.
  5. I haven't found a good online partshouse here in Texas, besides ordering through my local dealer, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is the next best thing, if the part is in stock at their Kentucky wharehouse, it gets to me no later than 3 days from order date.
  6. It''s sleeting here now, though the radar just shows rain, looks like the rest of Texas is going to get snow too. it's 37° right now.
  7. does it make grinding noises when you try to put it in gear, while the engine is running?
  8. Also if you can supply what engine make your Mule has, i don't think Kawasaki made their own diesel for the mule it's either Yanmar or Daihatsu. Sometimes going by engine maker makes parts easier to find.
  9. Did you check what the voltage is at the starter?
  10. I finally found them, service manual for the t-boss, $75... it may be worth your money, if you plan on keeping this machine https://www.scautosports.com/Manuals/Service_Manual_TBoss410
  11. do you know which way your engine (Crankshaft) PTO rotates? CW or CCW, Most likely it's a CCW rotation so the starter should also be spinning Counter clockwise.
  12. Thanks for the information Ben! i got a new starter from Arrowhead industries about 2 weeks ago, and it's been working great ever since.
  13. These NGK glow plugs kept coming up in my search, NGK Glow Plug Y-706R , might contact NGK with that part number and Kawasaki's part number and see if they will work. The prices were anywhere from $17 to $30 depending where you look.
  14. I've never had an issue with battery cables where i needed to test their resistance, so i don't know if an issue with the solenoid would cause a difference in resistance .. are you able to get test leads to the solenoid posts?
  15. i don't think you have much to lose by replacing the solenoid. if you cant find the OEM solenoid you can always get a riding mower solenoid and do it that way.
  16. is there also a drop in voltage? Ohms mean nothing to me unless i have a spec sheet to look at. but if that solenoid is good i would think the drop would be less than that.
  17. check your oil level on the dipstick, be sure it isn't overfull and smells like gasoline. as far as the choke goes, if possible, remove the air filter so you can see the choke butterfly, put it on full choke and make sure the choke is fully closing, push on the butterfly to see if you can close it even more.
  18. now to find where that hose goes.
  19. probably so
  20. as far as i know, should just be a trigger wire, should read the same or lightly less than the battery. probably goes through a relay or safety switch.
  21. Kenfain summed it all up very well, here are my 2 cents that worth about 1 cent. What is the battery voltage at the battery, Positive and negative posts? it should be the same or within 1 or 2 tenths of a volt the STARTER SIDE of the solenoid, or the same. if you have good voltage at the battery, and lower voltage down stream of the solenoid, somethings wacky in the solenoid most likely.
  22. i doesn't throw you out of your seat when you stop , does it? i drove a RTV900 one time, nothing like my mule, let off the gas, and nearly threw me out coming to a stop because of the way their drivetrain works.
  23. i would start it up, or turn the key ON, and feel of any hot wires you can reach, such as the main + battery cable, to be sure there isn't a short burning the coating off a wire. also check for any thing that may have fell on the muffler/exhaust pipe.
  24. are there any manufacturer markings on the starter so you can identify who made it? Denso usually a sticker with their name and Partnumber on it,
