  1. That's a good idea for getting them in the right shape, i will definitely do that if they come flat.
  2. the starter spins the engine over with no problem at all, it's just getting it to engage with the flywheel, the outer sleeve of the big + is partly exposed at the starter end, the copper wire looks brand new there. I'll have to get a recording of what it does, it's usually "click, click, click, (finally engages and turns over) and when the starter gear is retracting, something makes a awful noise, sounds like cat stuck in a fan or something. it doesn't sound like gears grinding, but something rubbing or catching in the starter.
  3. got one tire off today then the rain started and it was cow feeding time. I started around 11:00am and got the tire off about 2PM. My uncle has one of those tire bead seaters , i'll try that first before taking to the shop for them to mount it.
  4. there's a tire shop in Willis that mounts them, i got tires for it mounted there before, cant remember how much $ though.
  5. well if it doesn't do it in neutral, then it's not the CVT belt or pulleys as they operate the same regardless of what gear you're in. something internal.
  6. Not sure. They seem to take alot of pride in being an American company on their website so, probably.
  7. is your CVT similar to this?
  8. if it ain't quality, i'll use it as an anchor for the head engineer at arrowhead...😁
  9. It better be!
  10. Brand new, yes, according to a friend who is a Briggs tech, they make some starters and other electrical components for Briggs and Kohler, and also for the aftermarket seller Stens.
  11. yeah, once you get up to about 12-15 mph, there is a slight whine, but you're right, 500 miles with no whine, then all of the sudden... that's sounds suspect.
  12. It's made by Arrowhead, $80.00, they're not top of the line (Like Denso) but it's better than Wee Fewl Yu from china.
  13. @Mackc yes sir, the engine turns over great once the starter engages it. and spins over fairly easy by hand like any other small engine in this HP range.
  14. i did, i put it on, it didn't work. starter still sounds terrible and clicks, so i ordered a new Name brand starter.
  15. Kawasaki's CVT's in their mules whine from day one at increased speed.
  16. you can have it, i'll even provide the rope!!! lol
  17. the place i ordered it from had to order it from Arrowhead (the manufacturer) supposed to ship on the 12th or 13th
  18. Rear right tire blew out going down the gravel road the other day, tried plugging it, but it was on the sidewall and it kept tearing down the sidewall, (rear tires are probably 10 years old, at least), so i called the dealership here in town since i knew they keep tires in stock. Employee:"thank you for calling pro powersports how can i help you" Me:"i need to check on a price for a rear tire, 01 mule 550 KAF300C5, tire size is 22x11-10" Employee"alright, hang on one sec" Me:"okay" Employee "$237 for 1 tire" Me :"thank you sir" *click* I found single tires on ebay and amazon and RM atv etc for about $70 or $80 shipping not included, so i ordered this set off amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08572QZKZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 supposed to be here Tuesday, I'll be sure to keep this thread updated on how the tires do so maybe if someone else wants try this $50 a tire deal.
  19. Jackassimo 😁
  20. Hit the nail on the head, lol.
  21. Howdy. i've been through boerne once, made a stop at the 'Cave without a name'. pretty neat. https://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/oemparts/l/kaw/500b5a4df8700223e4796d20/2008-mule-3010-diesel-4x4-kaf950d8f-parts a service manual will also be very very helpful once you diagnose the problem and go to fix it, https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=2008+diesel+3010+mule+service+manual&_sacat=0 does it leak more when running? or only leak when sitting? looking at the parts diagrams, it appears there isn't a gasket for the oil pan, 2007 and prior models have it, but not 2008, they probably used a RTV/silicone compound. but there is a timing cover gasket , and another gasket for the timing gear case, as well as crank oil seals, so those are all possibilities. it's easiest to diagnose oil leaks with a clean engine, so i suggest cleaning the block as best as possible with parts cleaner and some rags. there are also kits you can buy with a UV light and a bottle of dye you put in the oil and the UV light makes the dye glow. that makes the process easier.
  22. it appears one side is 39158-1119 and another side is 39158-1120 https://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/kaw/52e6a197f8700225ac0d0c8a/drive-shaft-rear listed as 39158 and 39158A in the diagram.
  23. I believe on most UTV's its a foot brake switch along with the neutral safety. Might try contacting HiSun to see if they can give you some help on how to test the switches.
  24. I couldn't find any info online even on Coleman/HiSun's website. https://www.hisunmotors.com/contact/us/
  25. Ah okay, thats like a Lawnmower solenoid. with it being a 4 post, i'll bet you have a safety switch issue. This video should explain it for you.
