  1. yep, those pumps are meant to be used and thrown away when they go bad. They're fairly simple, just a diaphragm on the inside. over the years, the corn in the gasoline tends to harden them and they don't pump as well.
  2. so the engine runs good and makes power, but it just doesn't have any "Umpf" to go or pull? i would pull the spark plug out and take not of the color of the electrode end, Is it Black, White, or tan? If the plug doesn't appear to be the culprit, as the 610 has plug issues, i would look at the drive belt next. your engine may be putting out plenty of power, but if your belt is worn and slipping, that power cant make it to your wheels.
  3. are the pulleys Keyed to the shaft, or is it a taper lock fit? In other words, You have a straight shaft, straight bore in the pulley with a key, or is the shaft and pulley bore tapered?
  4. Did you install a new belt?
  5. Do you have the part number of the Ryco? Its possible the filter micron rating is too low and the pump cant pull enough fuel when under load and high fuel demand. i used a wix 33011 fuel filter for awhile with a rating of 12 microns, and i had fuel issues when going full speed and loaded down.. switched over to a Briggs and Stratton 845125 with a micron rating of 30 and never had any issues and it seems to filter well enough. I put an inquiry in to kawasaki for the micron rating of their OEM filter.
  6. This is what I would do next. Saabman, are you using the oem filter?
  7. Biggest down side on the chuck wagon UTV's now, especially for older ones, parts availability and service/troubleshooting information are somewhat hard to come by. If you're in the Used market, look at a Ranger or Mule.
  8. It could be as simple as a dirty fuel filter. that is where i would start. Im assuming this is a fuel injected machine?

  10. I don't right now but i can take some when i get home from work. I had to reapply it in a few small areas where we chunked heavy scrap iron in it and it gouged it... but i has really adhered good.   11. mine developed a stutter similar to his last year,i had to adjust the idle mixture screw and that fixed it.

  17. being a v-twin, you may only be running on 1 cylinder... you may drop a cylinder due to a bad ignition coil, spark plug or valves out of adjustment...
  18. that's what i was going to say, the RTV900 i've driven has a little bit more room for the legs, and the cab is taller.
  19. Vent tube outlet is on the top of the engine, it's possible but not likely.
  20. that's very possible, hopefully that fixed your problem. i wonder if your choke may have been getting stuck closed slightly, enough to cause an issue when you give it gas for an incline but not normal running.
  21. Pickup should be all metal/brass on the 610.
