  1. This Mule can pull a heavy load......
  2. I plan on prepping and coating the bed floor with POR15, supposedly kills and stops rust... It needs it after 20 years.. I thought about water getting under it... I actually cut the mat today and fits perfect all the way around.. I'm thinking about using a black caulk or sealer around the edges. But that would inhibit removal Right now it stays under a tarp, but a shed for it is in the near future... I I may come up with a way to use preexisting holes drilled in the bed for load fastening for a quick release though...
  3. welcome to the forum. the kawasaki manual is very secretive. lol I replaced my cables last year, in this thread i cover just about everything. I would replace them, as most likely they are corroded with rust on the inside.
  4. Welcome to the UTV board! Might take a look at Kawasaki's new KRX ...Depending on your budget.
  5. I did find this at cabela's.... https://www.cabelas.com/product/UTV-Bed-Mats/716941.uts says it fits the mule 3010 4010, not sure if they're the same dimensions as mine or not? edit, way too large. i found more specs on the one kawasaki sells, It's 5/16" thick.. but for 80 bucks....
  6. No dump assist, I'm pretty strong . Plus, once the angle of the bed gets to a certain point, the weight assists with the dumping and the tilt of the bed tilts to almost vertical.. But i rarely carry anything to dump, just firewood in the winter, tools and feed buckets in the spring and fall. I also want something thick enough that can protect the bed from gouges and scrapes, But you do have some good points. I will think about it. I also thought about using those spray cans of bedliner.... but i read so many mixed reviews, i didn't know if it would be worth it or not.
  7. Okay another project i plan on doing. The bed has a few rust spots starting on it, so i figure i'd better get the jump on it. Also i've always to put a bed mat in it to protect it, Kawasaki sells one, but for $70 AND it's fairly thin, i think about 5/16" ( i know some of the mats for the newer FXT's are 3/16") maybe less. so here's my plan. Strip the paint in the floor of the bed, expose raw metal, sand and brush any rust away, apply POR15 to kill the rust, then once that dries go over with the spray of rust reformer to prevent rust (maybe). Tractor supply sells those horse stall mats, my dad just bought one, they seem to be about 9/16" thick, maybe more. cut to dimensions, ( 40 3/4" wide X 34 1/2" long) Now, the way i figure on fixing the mat to the bed is this: once i have the mat cut to dimension, drill through the mat and bed and bolt it down with carriage bolts since the heads are more or less flat. do one in each corner, nut and lockwasher on the underside. ONE quart of POR15 covers 96 SQ FT, so i think a pint may be enough for my bed..... and it looks like this one will be the right size.... https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/utility-rubber-mat-black-4-ft-x-3-ft-x--frac12-in?cm_vc=-10005 What should i do differently? Thoughts?
  8. May also be the ignition coils failing when hot, let em cool down, they work great, heat up, no spark.. Woops, ignore the above, I misread your problem. But I would check for spark when it won't restart, if it has spark, then it's a fuel issue... I would feel of the carburetor float area to be sure it isn't hot enough to keep you from touching it.
  9. Seems pretty pathetic on mAssimo's end...
  10. Two of my favorite actors.

  12. Kawasaki is close to releasing all new models for 2021..... Maybe they would take a direct trade in for My mule? lol.
  13. Looks great!!! Beautiful country side behind it too. must be a new look Kawasaki is doing, I've noticed too on my Grandfather's Mule SX, they don't have axle nut covers, to me they should, all the more protection against dirt, dust, mud and water. And rust.
  14. I like that idea, it's a good one... Forums are to help people and if there's any way member's can help I'm all for it.
  15. 3 pages worth of parts here https://www.multinationalparts.com/products/machine/Spartan-500cc
  16. Yes it will hold moisture, though I have never heard of anyone using where the pipe rotted quickly, It's possible you might could fabricate a heat shield on the underside of the cargo bed. How far away is the pipe from the bottom of the bed?
  17. Look into Exhaust heat wraps, buy it in rolls on amazon.
  18. Wildfire Motors was a company based in Steubenville, Ohio, specializing in the sales of scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, cyclecars, and electric vehicles. The vehicles are manufactured in China and were distributed throughout the United States. It appears they are out of business now. From Wikipedia
  19. I would open it up, TAKE GOOD PICTURES, heck, even a short video of everything, if it turns out to be what kenfain said, a pin, or keeper, $5-10 fix possibly. Order a new one if you want, install it,, off you go.
  20. It seems as though you solved your problem reading your 2nd post Welcome to the UTV Board! This forum is so good, you join and your problem is fixed!!!
  21. I would start with something easy first, and check that your brakes aren't dragging. Jack it up, front and back and spin the tires.
  22. If I were you, I'd threaten with legal action via lemon law and get back your money.
  23. It will be well worth the wait!
