  1. Could you post a link to the carburetor used. I had a similar issue with mine last year and it turned out i was not adjusting the idle jet screw properly... the way to set it like it came from the factory is to unscrew, or screw it in until the engine reaches the highest idle, then adjust the throttle stopper screw to 1300 RPM Those chinese aftermarket carbs are crapshoot if you get a good one or not. I have one on mine that is a KIPA brand from amazon.
  2. I cant answer your question directly, however i know some folks out in central texas, AKA, meqsuite country. they deal with the thorns in tires all of the time. I'll ask them.
  3. I don't think the ride would be any different, however you can probably expect the rears to wear out soon as most stock tires aren't made for asphalt/hard surfaces, as you've seen on the fronts.
  4. should be the first one in the list https://www.utvboard.com/files/category/8-hisun/
  5. I got the belt in the mail today.... on the belt it says, "HECHO EN MEXICO"
  6. i wouldn't see why not. i would make sure both cables are the same size.
  7. Well i finally bought a NEW muffler for ol' Red. and Boy she sure is quiet now! You can hold a conversation, or talk on the phone with it idling. and much smoother sounding at full throttle. I like it! i finally found one on Rocky Mountain ATV for 165 with Tax. cheapest place i found. Of course not every project goes fine and dandy, the bottom bolt where the inlet to the exhaust bolts to the exhaust pipe (seen left hand side of picture) , the 10mm bolt rounded off... couldn't get my rounded bolt miracle socket too it, so i took my air hammer and put a chisel bit in it, chiseled a cross in it, and then chiseled up from the bottom, doing that broke the head off and the bolt knocked right out with a few light taps from a punch. I put anti seize on the new hardware.
  8. Diesel engine may be better in his case for more torque, hauling 4 people plus any gear/load in the bed and hilly terrain.
  9. I'd look into the Kawasaki 4010 trans or the Polaris Ranger Crew. I am biased towards Kawasaki for the build quality and availability of parts for years afterwards.
  10. To find that out you really need to go to a dealer try them out... I would recommend looking at a Kawasaki 4010 Trans.
  11. Most likely a low oil sensor saved your engine. If you know the unit is Full of oil, no harm in trying to restart it.
  12. https://www.sidebysidestuff.com/can-am-maverick-windshields-roofs.html i've bought from SXS stuff before several times, products are top notch
  13. the issue with Massimo's, they've been made by at least two different manufacturers. Someone may have gotten a "X" made model, with no fuse box and was total junk, while you may have gotten a massimo made by "Y" made model which was built better mechanically and electrically.
  14. Is this what your pump looks like? https://www.ebay.com/itm/402321304682
  15. what Make UTV and what model?
  16. Located in my post above yours
  17. If it has seat belts, are they buckled? some of these have a limiter on speed when the belts aren't buckled.
  18. Does it have a choke? if so i would be looking at a cable adjustment, to be sure it closes 100%.
  19. This should be the correct manual,
  20. I looked on the BBB, they aren't an accredited business, but they do have 1 review, Try this dealer locator https://www.hisunmotors.com/dealer/locator/
  21. Did you ever get this worked out?
  22. That's odd. When my grandad got his new Mule SX, the dealer said first service was 20 hours, that entailed engine oil change and filter and checking valve clearance, i'm capable of that so i did it for him. I think they quoted around the same. You could check and adjust the valve clearance if you were inclined to, but really don't need to check unless you encounter hard cranking or hear them ticking.
