Worked off and on over the weekend and finished it up yesterday afternoon.Not having any trails nearby I was only able to take it for a short test drive. I found it to make at least a 60-70% improvement in 2wd,and 4wd. I did try it in 4wd with lockers and did notice a slight improvement,maybe as much as 20% but as I mentioned it was a short drive. This was on asphault.At a stand still on concrete and ashault you can easily turn the wheel completely in each direction with one hand.Bruhaw is stoping by this afternoon and will get his opinion on how it feels.Needless to say i am very happy.

As soon as we hear from some others that the weekend of the 20th - 22nd works for them i will call KOA and get their group rates.

When I first purchased mine it would not start without pressing on the gas, I would not have to pump it. With out pressing on the gas it would just crank and crank. I finally realized that once it did start the idle rpm's was only around 600. I adjusted it up to recommended 900 and ever since it starts right up immediately. Only thing I could figure is it had to do with the Throttle position sensor.

I'm sure there would be at least a few more that would join you if you made the east coast jamboree out here on the west coast(lol).Hope its a big success and you eny it.

Question: By installing the VW Engine and trans did you eliminate the 4wd? If not did you mount the engine and trans sideways? sounds very interesting and really looking forward to the photos.

What would it cost to ship something like that back to NZ ?

Easter in 2012 is April 8th.Average temps for the North Glamis KOA area in April is low to mid 80's.Naturally the later in the month the warmer it will be getting.Not sure if everyone would be able to make it a little earlier for the cooler temps(March ave is mid 70's) or go for the bit higher temps in April.

Its holding up great,hard to screw things up on them when the just sit in the garage...(LoL) I think the last time we had it out was back in late March or early April.How bout yours? still have two of them? or have you decided to get 5 more,one for each day of the week(LOL) It would be great to get together.Rocmoc in AZ also so maybe a chance for us all to hook up.
