  1. rocmoc, Call 812 574-7777 and ask for casey. There is no part number yet, just tell him you are calling to order the power steering unit for the Joyner Trooper.Yes the $400 includes shipping. They take most credit cards and you can also pay with paypal. We must get up around the same time.Im up at 3:30 on work days and get to sleep in to around 4:30 or 5 on my days off.
  2. Thanks goes to Plumber, hes the one who brought this to our attention.
  3. Glad to hear it.I just spoke to casey and he told me their was another order.Anyone else that orders might make sure they throw in the shaft couplers.
  4. ordered mine this morning.
  5. Looks like this place has them. My link
  6. Wish i could. Its great you have areas to go riding fairly close to you and with good weather for it.
  7. Boy I have to come up there and maybe wife will go off with another woman, man, horse, coyote, dog, ect, ect, ect.(lol)
  8. Im calling monday to order mine.tried late yesterday but he was gone. The 400 is also including shipping if i understood him right.
  9. Well i will have to contact them to see if the $400.00 offer will still work for those that want to fabricate their own bracket. Before all was willing to do their own and thats what the deal was.Now seems things have changed.
  10. Damn your good, great post and photos. If you werent spoken for i would bring you home with me,(only to work on my trooper of course).Great job Lenny.
  11. Okay here we go. Controller of power steering unit DOES NOT need signals from computer.Controller has three wires,12 volt power, negative wire, and wire to go to ignition switch.Owner says they have someone nearby(not sure if thats you plumber)in Kentucky that has a trooper to bring in so they can get the specs to make the brackets and shafts to start marketing the power steering unit for the troopers. Not sure what the price will be but they are selling them at $599.00 for other brands. For those of us that want to purchase the unit now without the bracket and shafts for the $400.00 we need to call and ask for Casey at 812 574-7777 and let him know you would like to purchase the unit for the Joyner Trooper.
  12. UPDATE. I spoke to them this morning and was told that by the end of today i will be hearing from them regarding all the info we need to make the purchase. They will put a special part number together we will refer to when placing the orders that will be for the steering unit, controller, and wiring only. I also sent photos last night of our current set up of the steering shaft and steering box as they requested and they have been forwarded to the owner so he can determine if they would like to have one of our troopers brought to them so they can produce brackets and shafts so that they can market a complete kit to fit the trooper in the future.
  13. Of course i meant your arm around your date Anyone know the diameter of the steering shaft? I figure we will have to cut a section out of the long shaft going down to the steering box and we will need a couple couplers to weld on the ends in order to attach to the steering unit.
  14. Thank you for your service. We spend alot of time in AZ also so hope to see you when you return.See many Troopers there in South Korea?(LOL)
  15. At this time for the $400.00 it would not be as what you would call a complete unit.It would be the power steering unit, controll unit, and wiring. It would not come with the bracket, steering shaft or adapters.I hope this is clear to all.
  16. I am sure we can help you.Dont forget you need two units quig, one for front and another for the rear
  17. Okay, got you down.Working with them on just what you said, hoping to work out each one of us contacting them and placeing the order and being shiped directly.Should know more tomorrow.Yes one handed driving, just like the good old dating days when you would have one hand on the wheel and the other on your date(lol)
  18. Thanks, By the way below is what response i got about you bringing your in to them.I am forwarding photos tonight after i take some. "I was just speaking with my owner. He says that he is not against bringing one in but first he wanted some pics. He recently had an Arctic Cat that he was interested in trying one on but quickly realized that there was absolutely no room with out trimming plastic. Take some images of the front by the rack and where the shaft comes down. We will take a close look at those images first before we try to get one in here."
  19. Good,Just waiting now to hear back from them. Also need commitments from all here that said they were interested.Need at least 5.
  20. Okay here is what i have. They will sell us the power steering unit, wiring, and controller for $400.00 each.Remember this does not include the shaft or adapters.I have a total of seven that has shown interest in the purchase and need to know if we have more and if these seven are serious and ready to make the purchase. So far i have, Lenny,Quig,2scoops,bruhaw,plumber,rocmoc,and myself.Once i work out more details i will let you know. Plumber, He is checking to see about the question you had about bringing your trooper in for them to modify their unit for the troopers. They did not think there would be much of a market for the units to go into Joyners before but with our interest that might change.
  21. sounds like a deal quig, you purchase two units(one for you and one for me) and i will build the brackets.
  22. I havent heard anything back so far.I will contact him tomorrow and try to work out a deal for at least 5 units. If i dont get some good pricing we should sic maddog rocmoc on em.
  23. That was my thought also and i asked that.Response was just what you said, same unit just bracketts and steering shaft adapters differ. He is checking on price without those two items if at all possible to purchase that way.
  24. This was the response from a follow up question to them to see if they could make one for the trooper. "We are currently working on several side by sides, but the joyner unfortunately isn't one. I do apologize. I myself like them alot. They are a rare breed." Thanks again for your time, Casey,
  25. I requested info via email regarding their units and if they had one for the troopers and their response was no.
