  1. I was able to spend a little time over the weekend getting things ready.I changed all the oils, engine, diffs, trans, and cleaned and oiled the air filter.I also put a tee in the small vacumm line from the intake manifold to the valve cover and ran a line to the regulator as suggested for the fuel controller.Got a few more small things to do and then its on to the Motorhome.
  2. Its a start, still long way to go.Hope it works out.
  3. Hope you get well and at least come to the jamboree to give me a hard time(lol) what happened to your motorhome?
  4. Bummer, was on my way there after work and got a call he had just sold it.Wasnt meant to be.
  5. Okay thanks, I have a triple axle on my boat trailer but havent put that many miles on it,only 3 miles each way to launch it from my house in Havasu.Gonna stop and take a better look at it now that i am interested. When i came across it i wasnt thinking of buying it at the time but after much thought i gotta take a better look.
  6. I came across this by accident.I have the flat open trailer but always thought about an enclosed one.The ones i have seen all had low doors and because of the height of my trooper with the cargo rack on top it would not fit.Its an open interior with a removable/adjustable ramp that the trooper can be driven up on thus giving more room under it for storage or a couple quads should i ever get anymore toys.According to what i was told the trailer itself weighs in at 3,500lbs.
  7. I have a chance to buy an enclosed trailer at what i think is a good price but not sure and need some opions. Its a 2003 24' Aztex triple axle.Rear door is 96" high and trailer height is about 10' with a 50 Gallon electric fueling station with a 10 foot fueling nozzle and 50 gallons of water. It has 7000 lb axles with electric brakes on two axles. The price is 5k.I have done a search and price seems to be good and mixed results regarding manufacturer.
  8. I did a mapquest on the route before and it had me exiiting at the 20 to the 89 to the 62 to the 24.It seemed to be a long twisting route.I see by way of the 15 to the 70 it is about 60 miles further but the same driving time, must be a straighter route and does seem to be the way to go.Thanks guys.
  9. Looks real good, sorry to hear you wont be coming.
  10. Okay your off the hook.I have to get busy so we will be ready.Looking forward to meeting you people.
  11. Nothing yet other then getting work done on the job to lesson the chance of not being able to go.Got the diff upgrade from Lenny(still in the package) change all the oil and filters in the Motorhome and Trooper(not done) Clean the MH and Trooper(not done) wanted to change the shocks(guess that wont happen) and continue to pray I can get the time off.Other then that Im ready... rocmoc, since your about ready come on over and get some of my stuff done for me.Im sure you will even have enough time to wax my MH. I will make sure yo wear a safty harness, unlike someone else we know.(LOL)
  12. I think Lenny wrote that(lol)
  13. Been there but not to ride.Beautifull country up there.I live in Southern California and its about 350 miles or so away.We also have a place in Lake Havasu and I think its only 60 or 70 miles from there.I have heard there are some trails up there but never looked into it.It would be great to get together, maybe even during the summer months it might not be too hot up there.Have to checkout the weather info.
  14. stevozz, You didnt mention where you were mounting the shop vac???
  15. Quote,Quig said "Whoa!! Not "us" guys!! I'm dumber than a post!!" end quote. Quig, I was gonna get back at you with a jab but decided naaaa let him sweat it out.(LOL)
  16. Doing good buddy how are you? I only have about 1050 miles on it,yea yea yea I know most you guys have that many just pulling in and out of your garage.(lol)
  17. Since changing the fuel lines have not seen any rubber in the tank.I also run one of those glass see through filters about every other run just to get a good glimpse of what is being filtered out.
  18. welcome to the forum, yes many good people on here to help.Thank you for your service and sacrifice for this country. (edit by kinarfi) Amen!! What did get, what year, got a photo?, and WELCOME
  19. Lenny, The only law thats being broken is the law of not getting enough use.I dont get enough time to drive it so i have plenty of time to keep it clean.I would much rather have a dirty used Trooper then a clean non used one.Hope to get it real dirty and used looking in June.
  20. Some have used motorcycle and others have used car mufflers.I purchases jdm double loop muffler. It runs quieter then before and also is supposed to have increased the HP by about 5 but not sure of that.I clamped it on and for supports i just purchased some adjustable tail pipe hangers from local auto parts and hung them from the tail light frame.
  21. I too have the kit from Lenny.Hope to get started this weekend on it.I must say i was disappointed when the package arrived,I was expecting it to include Lenny to do the install(LOL) Looks great
  22. As far as i know they did not come with the vacuum hose from the regulator to the intake.Mine came with the fitting on the regulator pluged off.I have only had mine out twice since installing the regulator and have not yet changed the settings.
  23. I for some reason thought vacuum was at "lowest" during idle, thus when reving vacuum increased and would able regulator to open or increase fuel pressure.I read a long time ago on another forum about hooking the hose up to the regulator but never tried it.
  24. Glad to hear to hear it.Forget about the beer,Im sure everyone would rather you use the money to put it towrds the trip to Utah for the jamboree.(did i just say that??)LOL. hope you can make.
