Got back from Havasu Sunday night.Lenny pulled in to Craggy wash Friday late Afternoon.We went on a couple great rides Saturday and had a really good time,the weather could not have been better.My wife was under the weather for the trip but she enjoyed it also.We left mid morning on Sunday so we could stop over in Riverside to visit our new grandson before heading home to unload.Really wish I would have had more time,Lenny and Jeanne are great people and was really great to see his trooper and all the mods he has done.That thing flys and he doesnt even have it completely dialed in yet.Sorry you couldnt make it rocmoc,maybe we can get together soon in North Glamis or somewhere.If not maybe we will make it to the get together in June.

got back last night from spending the day on Saturday eating Lennys dust(LOL).While unloading it off the trailer just happened to look underneath and saw my skid plate had a couple real good dents and one of the cross members of the frame had a big dent in it.I know i bottomed out once but not that bad so it happened on another trip and just did not notice it.I remembered this post about the one piece skid plate and now seriously thinking of doing it.I need to find the material,hopefully not too expensive.Any thoughts?

Im doing fine stevoz,I also use mobile 1 in mine.problem was it would just start cutting out as driving.it would not do it all the time and it would not last.I would stop rev her up a few times and it would be fine.sometimes it would do it 3 or 4 times while out for a ride and then again sometimes it would not do it at all.checked wiring,fuel pump,changed fuel filter,regulator,air filter,cleaned fuel tank twice,changed plugs,and still did it.I ended up changing ICU and since then i have had it out 3-4 trips now and no problems.

like i said, i changed mine just looking to resolve the problem i was having.it made no differance and plugs were not the problem,(i could have just wanted an excuse to do something on it)dont tell the wife(LOL)

When I was having the cutting out problem I started changing out things in desperation.One of which was the plugs.I did replace them with Iridium and i think they were the NGK.

We try to make it there twice a month.Dont have any dates set except for this coming weekend if all goes well.Let me know the dates and Maybe we can make it the same time.You can talk to me all you want about the Troopers, I cant promise you will learn anything(LOL). Keep visiting this forum and you will learn Im sure.Many people on here with loads of knowledge that are always willing to help.That I can promise.

Lenny, Im not sure how far back into Craggy wash you can go,only been back in there once and only went about a mile just for a look see.We should be camping,waiting on our Motorhome to be serviced.Workhorse had a brake recall so its in the shop and hope to be done tomorrow if not we will stay at our house thats about 6-7 miles from there.Dogs are no problem for us.Just not sure how far back we will be able to go,motorhome does not have 4WD.I will PM you my number to call when you get in the area,we might beet you there depending on how late Friday afternoon you get there.

First of all welcome.Hope you come on and share all your experiences with both.Really glad to hear from someone that actually owns both and can compare the two.Also glad to hear from another part time Havasuian.We too have a place there and love it.Keep us informed as to your next visit and maybe we can get together for a ride.As rocmoc said maybe you can make to Utah with us.

Hope you dont decide to go over and enter into the race(LOL).We got here yesterday afternoon.LA and Orange county into riverside area was a big mess.Had hard rain through OC and parts of Riverside then low clouds goimg up over Cajon pass then the heavy winds picked up all the way here.Once we got here lat in the afternoon and it got dark it started raining.Woke up this morning and went out front and what to my surprise,snow on the local hills.Yes rocmoc the same ones you will be riding in next weekend.Most melted off by end of day.See link to phot below.
