  1. As stated yes it is harder to steer with lockers engaged. As far as power, any of them would seem gutless if comaring to the 400hp of your jeep. From the beginning it sounds like you are really sold on the RZR but cant/wont spend the money. If I were you I think I would either wait to come across a good deal on a used one or wait till prices drop on the new ones.(jmho)Whatever you get hope you enjoy it.
  2. Thanks rocmoc, hope kinarfi puts this in a folder for future reference.
  3. yep,hes convincing you to sell the winch so he can modify his trooper into a tow truck. Xtra cash beats out less weight and more power anyday.(LOL)
  4. We can all pitch in and help you with getting to know your RV, I know where to plug the hose in to the power outlet, and I'm sure rocmoc knows how to plug the power cord into the spickett.Lenny can figure out where to put the sewer hose.(LOL)
  5. Now theres an idea for you rocmoc, you have the new welder so fabricating a boom to go on the back of your trooper would be no problem.Think of the xtra cash you can make on your trips.(LOL)
  6. Dirt road off 95 heading north from Lake Havasu city, just past airport. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.584694,-114.368813&layer=c&sll=34.585035,-114.368915&cbp=13,30,,0,5&cbll=34.584391,-114.36872&sspn=0.011147,0.019183&ie=UTF8&ll=34.584391,-114.36872&spn=0,0.002398&t=h&z=19&panoid=Wi4d1JqfWo1sbgX55gHUIQ
  7. Congrats on the MH,what did you get? you have to give it a trial run and meet up with us in Havasu over the weekend of the 7th.Camping is free and usually gas is about 25-30 cents a gallon cheaper there,at least from what we pay for it in my area of California.
  8. Welcome huunz, What kind of Joyner do you have? I also have a place in Havasu,If you would like to hook up for a ride let me know.I will be there for New Years and the following weekend with rocmoc.
  9. That first video of the trooper is mine.Filmed it this past Valentines day weekend. That is a real nice place with so many trails for long rides. The KOA Campground was a real nice place to stay. Also about an hour trail ride to some bat caves and real nice views of the salton sea.I was planning on going this past Thanksgiving but our son came down from Alaska so we had to change plans. If you make plans to go there let me know.I have more videos of the area if your interested.
  10. Not hard to find at all.If you are coming north on AZ 95 go past town,Wall Mart on left and Airport on right and turn right on first dirt road past the airport.I will be in Havasu over New Years and will get pics of road off 95.
  11. Thank you Rick,
  12. Wow,seems to be plenty. Also saw one in L.A. as well as a couple in San Diego.Saw that rear gage with the bench seat on that link of yours.Someone on here recently was talking about making one and putting a bench seat back there.
  13. Myron, Where are you? Maybe try other areas on craigslist and try recycler, autotrader, and ebay.I have seen some and Im not even looking.Maybe good idea to go with the cam am if you can get a trade for your jeep.
  14. Rick, Do you have the bearings and not just the schmatic? Also Please post price. Thanks,
  15. Quig, You have been enjoying it,1500 miles in 5 months..Thats great you have been able to do that.I got mine one year ago this month with about 9 miles on it and only racked up about 550 since.I enjoy tinkering around with it.Its my first UTV and only had a couple Baja bugs and a fiberglass dune buggy for street use many years ago.Back in the late 70's and early 80's,I would buy VW's fix em up and resell em.I had my own 18 wheeler and travel as far back as Oklahoma City and buy 7 or 8 of them and bring em back to So Cal and fix em up or use em for spare parts.Working on my Trooper takes me back to those days, I really enjoy it.
  16. I did have a proplem with it cutting out occasionally,I would have to rev it up a couple times and then it would be fine.Sometimes it would not do it and then there were times it did it 4 or 5 times while out for a few hours.I checked everything, changed out a few things and ended up changing out the ECU and the last 3 trips out its nbeen fine. Those hilss I spoke about was done with the problem so it never stranded me or left out to do any repairs while out.It has always got me back.Street legal depends on where you are.I live in California and it is not street legal here.I also have a vacation home in Lake Havasu Arizona and in that state it is street legal. There are other states where it is street legal and i am sure others here will let you know that.Sounds like you are dead set on not wanting the T4.I have found few trails thus far that i could not go that the RZRS,Rhinos or T2s,would go.As mentioned before there are places i can go they cant.It depends on what you want to do with it.
  17. I cant say much about the other ones but I love the Trooper.I have the T4 and yes its longer, weighs more but nice to have the xtra room for the kids and others.I have climped hills that I have seen rzrs, and others not been able to climb.Yes it has its problems but which make does not.For me its perfect because of price, and capabilities.
  18. Real nice.I bet by the end of the week Lenny and rocmoc will all the mods figured out on what to do to their troopers to turn them into one of those.(LOL)
  19. I was looking at Harbor Freight.
  20. yea snowman did.I was planning on doing it when i do the doors also but just thinking about doing it now.Have to hold off getting that pipe/tubing bender i want for a little while.
  21. Just wondering if anyone has removed that round side bar along side the drivers and passengers seat.
  22. BC, Welcome, glad to see you came over here to this forum. As i told you,you will get quicker response here.I know your having it shiped up to you are you sure yours does not have the upgrade already for the 4wd? Mine is a 09 also but luckily they did the upgrade here at joyner once it got here from china. They installed the manual lever on the dash(same as the diff locker levers).Good luck with your trooper,Im sure your going to enjoy it.
  23. I am far from the right person to listen to regarding your diff but i cant see why you couldnt flip it.What engine and tranny would you get?
