  1. Im a trooper person, couldnt tell you how many.I was suggesting you call him to ask what he might think your problem is,not sure if he had much in the way of sensors for sale.
  2. Found this on the joyner forum. Joyner Forum
  3. Welcome Zorro, What year is the trooper? If used possibly seller did some brake work and not bled them correctly. I agree with rocmoc as for the brakes and turning.I have the T-4 Trooper and have climbed some pretty steep hills with four people(not the smallest of crowd)in it and had to hold it on the hill with no problems.even coming down comes to a stop.I was worried about the steering also but have not had any real issues on the trail. Wait until you get it on the trail and give it a chance.
  4. Frankie, Dont know if you have spoke to Casey(was shop foreman at joyner) regarding your problem but if not give him a call.I saw him this past weekend and purchased some parts from him and said he was available to help anytime (480)766 6137
  5. Just think,I could turn my T-4 into a T-7.NOT...
  6. Exact point i am trying to make.ECU is getting signal from sensor that it is 0 position thus compinsates but giving more throtle.Try to adjust up and let ECU recalibrate to new position of throttle. It may or may not work but your idle screw should not be backed off like that.Again I am by far no expert but this i have been told by reliable source and i am sure other here would agree that there may be some thing wrong just because the screw is backed off like that.Again it may not solve your rev problem but something is not right because that screw is backed off.Read closly again Lennys last post.
  7. Did you try adjusting the idle screw out? you keep mentioning its backed off all the way.As lenny mentioned ECU reads position of sensor,if not reading any it may be compensating.Hope someone else chimes in regarding my thoughts because that is what i was told by tech at joyner.
  8. not sure if this has been mentioned but have you checked the connections on your throttle body for the idle sensor and throttle sensor and vacuum hoses? i am just trying to think of things,im by far not the best person for this as many others on this forum are.good luck and dont take the hammer to it yet.
  9. When you say"Once I get it to idle" what is your RPM's? Reason I ask is you also say "idle screw is all the way relieved".I was once told these engines with all the sensors the ECU gets alot or most of its info from the position of the throttle sensor.Maybe if its getting a reading of the idle sensor being all the way closed or all the way relieved as you say it is trying to compensate.Just a thought I could be way off.
  10. This is what Kinarfi had in the "Parts,Pieces" thread. CV Boot Kit There appears to be a difference between inner and outer boots, I used a NAPA CVB6862340 for my outer rear, fit good but not tightly on the CV end, I held it on with Tyraps , Autozone part # 03606. Comes with bands and grease for $11.99, quick/split boot. http://contentinfo.a.../03606/image/5/ K2181 95 Geo Metro $15.99 Napa 686-2181 CV Boot from a 95 Geo Metro.
  11. rocmoc, Really sorry to hear that, main thing is all of you are feeling better.Hope you will be able to get out this weekend and have some fun.Keep us posted especially about your health. Good luck,
  12. Not sure what part of Kentucky you are in but here is a link to a place in Stanton Ky.I was raised to the age of twelve in Florence Ky there in Boone County. http://stantek-us.com/sitebuilder/images/Mechanical_Cables2-445x342.jpg
  13. Are you still getting yours through that same agent you have had in the past? I am currently with him and mine is over $300 for the year.I have an xlint record so thats not the issue.
  14. rocmoc< You need to keep your replys short and to the point...(LOL) Hope your enjoying it down there, fill us in when you can.
  15. sounds good.I will be down his way this weekend and have plans on hooking up with him.Hope to pick up some extra parts.
  16. Well said Lenny,I think most people who buy any machine like this after a while has their own ideas. Some like you have the ability to go further then others do.I myself dont have the capabilities or knowledge you and many other members here have(I wish i did).I do have ideas for changes I can make by either purchasing other parts or making my own.One of the many reasons I like this forum is I have learned so much just from sitting back and reading what goes back and forth between many of you.I think no matter what purchase I would have made I myself would find changes to be made, mechanically or cosmeticaly.
  17. Kiarfi, Sorry to ask this but about how much do the FOAs run?
  18. Ratfink, Welcome, this is the place for any info you may need. Yes I would still purchase my Trooper T-4.I still feel its the best bang for the buck.I am sure someone will come through and bring the product into the USA.What joyner are you interested in or are you just curious.
  19. Heres what I did on my Trooper.
