  1. if i cannot see, feel, operate a piece of equipment, i am not interested..............
  2. depends what you want to use it for.......if working around house, which is what i use mine for, i would go with kawasaki mule..........not a speed demon, but it is a workhorse............and given that you rarely see any comments about mules on this site, i would say one of the more dependable................
  3. i have a kaw mule...............use it around house for hauling, plowing snow, etc.............but my mule is a 600..............no speed demon...............has been reliable (purchased 9 yrs ago), but with limited top speed, don't think it would be my choice for 10 miles drives.....agree with KLM, be ready to drop some cash, dealer access is extremely important (to me), and nothing you can buy at lowes, tractor supply, etc................good luck
  4. did you change the fuel filters and check the inside of the tank for sludge?.......
  5. had our mule since 2015.....only issue was bad fuel filter and one time it struggled to run right when the temp was 35 below zero.......................
  6. my mule did that............mine was bad fuel filter......................
  7. advise, honda or kawasaki.................
  8. will do laurence noon............good idea...................i am careful not to idle it for long periods of time...........
  9. thanks, did just that................but with warmer temps, i am having no issues...............
  10. thanks for responding...........that was my first thought, but fuel filter was changed sometime earlier this year..........i took it out again yesterday......plowed some snow, and ran around the property running thru 10 inches of snow............no issues......the only difference is the temp yesterday was about 25, no wind.................when i had the issues, it was -8, with 35 mph winds...............i did add some fuel dryer in between times.....is it possible that i had a small chunk of ice in the filter, that was causing the problem?........i always run with fuel stabilizer, but the fuel dryer was a new additive............
  11. Question for the group....i have a 2015 Mule 610..........been pretty reliable....250 hours on meter.....this past weekend, i was plowing snow..........yes, extremely cold, but i noticed that Mule ran fine when running around the neighborhood, but when i went to plow, especially when the snow was heavy, when i would come to the end of a "push", the thing would stall out......started right back up with no issues......ran ok otherwise.................doesn't miss, doesn't backfire, idles fine otherwise.....any thoughts? thanks
  12. after all the complaints on this forum about the other brands of utv's, i will stick with my mule...........not the fastest, not the most powerful, but it hauls stuff around the house and plows snow just fine..........
  13. paid the dealer to do it as 1) wanted to make sure i kept warranty in place and 2) didn't want to get my hand dirty...........hahahahaha
  14. i have a mule 610, first service was around $500............of course that was 7 years ago.........you must be getting the "custom" service package.......
  15. when you say "no power" can you explain?.........if engine runs well in neutral, good plug, clean filter, i would check torque converter assembly.........
  16. i would do it for peace of mind...........yes, difficult to spend the cash now, but in a month or less, you won't care......
  17. as noted earlier, can't remove top and leave doors............is your wife one of those folks that drives around in a convertible with the windows up..........hahahahahaha
  18. just went out and looked.....bottom hinge is mounted to floor of mule, top door hinge is part of the top....so i don't think you could easily leave doors on without rigging up something for top hinge......
  19. i don't believe so........never tried, not sure why you would want it that way............
  20. lets put it this way, when i got the cab enclosure, i read the instructions and took it in to a dealer buddy to have it installed..............i did remove a door to have the window "fixed" last summer, and reinstalling wasn't bad.........but in the summer, if you unzip the windows, and run a fan inside, the temps are not bad.....but if you are using it for playing in the woods, i would recommend taking the entire enclosure off.....tree branches would reek havoc on the top..............
  21. i leave the cab enclosure on all year long........and yes, it does cut the wind, and is relatively comfortable with heat......................
  22. i put the factory kawasaki enclosure on ours.....while it doesn't seal up completely, it is good enough to allow me to heat the cab..............factory windshield is a hard Plexiglas................plowed snow for about 7 hours yesterday in 20 degree weather, and actually had to turn the heater down as it got too warm................
  23. i can attest, you are not winning any speed contests with a mule.....................
  24. was always told, whether true or not, that you should run regular in small, air cooled engines..............premium produces too much heat..............
