  1. I apologize, but I have been laid up for over a week now with COVID. I just haven't been able to find the energy to read my email. It's a possibility that the ECU was ruined when the rectifier regulator went bad. Something may show up in the repair manual.
  2. Did you locate a replacement yet?
  3. Sorry, I was looking through the parts manual. Took a while to locate it. It's called a regulator rectifier, Massimo part #71603. I couldn't find a price, though.
  4. Does this effect how well the engine runs? Also, why watercraft? They're not set up for ethanol?
  5. Oh OK. That can't be easy to find.
  6. May I ask what subject fuel is?
  7. No problem. What was causing the smoking? That may have caused the screen to be black, if the engine was running while there was smoke present, it would be drawing in the smoke and causing the screen to get black. Let us know what you find out, please!
  8. I would check all the electrical connections. Sounds like something burned up, if the intake screen is black. Something got wet and either shorted out, or maybe a relay or fuse is blown.
  9. Did you check the fan relay?
  10. I've done this before. What I've always done is use the part number, and do a search on Google or whatever search engine you prefer. Then you can find out if anyone else manufactures the item in question. You could also do a search using the term "voltage regulator 2019 Brenneke T-boss 410". That's all I can suggest.
  11. I'm up for it! Are you hosting?
  12. Hey, even George Washington had falsies 🤓
  13. I still have a few teeth left.
  14. Yeah, we were pretty fortunate. I found it on the ground outside of a motel. We all shared it, my mom and 2 dads and 12 siblings. Just cleaned the hair out of it. Couldn't find any toothpaste, though. They had the lid on the dumpster locked.
  15. At least you had soap! We had to stand outside in the rain and scrub ourselves with a toothbrush and some baking soda. 😜
  16. Fortunately I have not had any issues, except for a faulty starter solenoid. It took a while to track that down, but once I replaced that, it's been fine. I don't have many miles on it, though. Do you have a manual for it? There's a free download of a manual here on this site if you need it. If yours is the same as mine, you have the digital display. If you toggle through the options using the button on the right side of the display, you can see what the voltage output is while it's running. Mine has never been higher than 15V, and that's usually right after I start it. After that it's in the 14's. Obviously something is wrong somewhere if it keeps burning up voltage regulators. I would check any grounds I could find, and clean them and coat them with some dielectric grease.
  17. I don't know how you folks do it. We get an occasional tornado, but the heat and humidity down there, and you add in hurricanes and tropical storms, I couldn't do it.
  18. Sounds like a charging issue. Maybe it's the stator? Or maybe a ground problem.
  19. I couldn't tell you an exact rpm, but it does have to tach up several thousand rpm's before it will move in high range.
  20. Are there any more brewing right now?
  21. Hmmm, I have the same model, but I don't feel anything like that. Maybe check the fluids? Maybe tranny and/or diff fluids are low.
  22. So, are all these hurricanes keeping it muddy for you down there???
  23. Doesn't it require a special type of plug? I don't think it's the common 3 prong household type. Can't use your home electric supply to recharge it, correct?
  24. There's been way too much hype on electric vehicles. Nobody talks about the destruction of the environment caused by the mining of the metals needed for the batteries, nor the cost of replacing those batteries when that time comes. And this whole autonomous vehicle thing is just so far out there. If you don't (or can't) drive, take public transportation. Don't rely on a driverless vehicle to get you where you're going. Some of the technical advances in the automotive world I think are great. This AIN'T one of them. You certainly can't take a long road trip, as the batteries need recharged after a few hunderd miles, at least. My rant, I'm off the soap box now.
  25. Shoulda bought a Massimo 😎 How's the weather down there? I see there's another hurricane coming.
