  1. most of those listed are diesel or gas , not battery
  2. thats never gonna make it down our trails... gotta at leasy put front and rear winches.. AND ROLL BARS
  3. Do they make 4 wheel drive Golf carts with 1inch lug tires? ... Just asking, Because we dont have paved roads in the swamp
  4. I would think, If you lose oil pressure it kills the fuel pump to prevent engine damage
  5. no, I think not.. if you increase the time the fan runs to cool the water, everything works fine .. so radiator size is not the issue, nor is waterpump output .. its simply set up to run way too hot.. at least for my severe climate in the swamp of south Louisiana . Might be fine in Canada, but it cooks heads and gaskets down here REAL QUICK... Mine overheated on its very first day.. ..
  6. thats the problem in a nutshell.. the coolant returning to the engine is too damn hot.. how can it bring down the engine temp if its already hotter than the engine should run? its insane
  7. Not surprised they sacrifice engines to meet ridiculous leftist emmission standards.. but 230*-240* melts heads and head gaskets quickly , trust me ... Mine runs very well now at 170* and the engine heat that used to blow up my azz is gone .. It even gained 2 mph .. I am amazed at people in Cali who think electric cars produce no carbon... how do they make the huge amount of electricty it takes to charge your car for 8 hours to be able to drive for 3 hrs? WITH OIL, COAL, Nat Gas , Propane .. Your solar panels dont work at night .. or in the rain, or on cloudy days.. Wind turbines NEED WIND... so , I guess you solar charge storage batteries on sunny day, to then charge the car storage batteries that night , so you can drive 50-100 miles unless you use headlights and A/C then its 30-50 miles ......and REPEAT???? yeah, that sounds real efficient
  8. yep LA titles all ATV, UTVs . It says ORV [off road vehicle] on title.. and charges 10.5% sales tax .. but in my case I had to pay TS , and then pay DMV on the same day.. almost $900 .00 each .. and then wait WEEKS for TS to finally refund mine after many phone calls .... They could have EASILY credited it back to my VISA that I paid with... but REFUSED! pitiful operation
  9. haha.. yeah, we like to tighten bolts 'Oilfield tight" around here too.. Thats tighten down til it twists off, then back off 1/4 turn
  10. Yep, leave switch installed, just bypass it.. tape the wires so water doesnt get in ............Not using Thermostat in mine either.. If you live in very cold climate you probably need one but then, you probably dont overheat in 0 degree weather
  11. on mine, the switch which turns the fan on and off at preset temps is located on passenger side of radiator . Fan is NOT controlled by ECU. .it has a 2 wire plug-in.. simply unplug and jump the 2 wires .. Fan will then run when key is turned on.. mine was running 230-240 degress causing masive overheating and parts failure.. it now stays 170-180 degress on 100 degree days .. that switch was factory set way too high ..we used a infrared thermometer, the switch would not turn on til 220 degees and turned off at 190 .. but its on the return side .. thats how hot the water was going TO the engine.. poor design ...I tried to find a switch with low set temps or adjustable temps but could not .... Anyway, waterflow is adequate, it just needs far more cooling of the water BEFORE it returns to engine.. Thats my opinion at least. My mechanic agrees .. AND ITS WORKING.. I can run it hard all day... never runs hot now
  12. Thru trial and error, we found that additional waterflow was unnecessary if you dramatically increase airflow thru radiator by bypassing fan thermoswitch to allow fan to run 100%.. Mine now runs cool.. no more overheating even on extremely hot days
  13. must be.. by the way, that top will tear off .. I built a front mount bracket for mine, atteched to roll cage.. I tow at 70 mph with no problems now
  14. haha I was saying BEHIND YOUR TRUCK as I WAS READING IT!! I am still bewildered by the 10,000 rpm... Mine peaks at 5500
  15. so far its doing great.. no thanks to the pathetic service dept at Massimo Ripoff Motors
  16. OH HELL YEAH.. new Head, New Yamaha Head Gasket, New Waterpump... We bypassed the thermoswitch for electric fan to run 100% .. That made a huge difference. ..running great now.. had it out 5 weekends now, run all day with no more overheating issues
  17. I use 10w40 Castrol ACTEVO Part Synthetic motorcycle oil for wet clutches You can use any conventional or blend for wet clutch ..... I would not use a full synthetic in a wet clutch
  18. good to hear its on the road again.. mine is still running fine, zero overheating now.. These are fun, now enjoy!
  19. That guy will probably be fired for sending that to you free ...
  20. Sorry ... according to Massimo Motors rep I talked to in Dallas, they dumped HISUN engines a year ago [ his words] because ...THEY ARE JUNK... now that mine has been repaired properly, it does run well.. but for how long? Who knows
  21. as we have now found out, the new waterpump is adequate flow.. The problem lies in the extreme temps Massimo set for electric fan operation.. 210* on the return side of radiator before fan engages.. the engine stays around 230* .. death spiral for heads and head gaskets.and massive heat rising behind my seat!! . Since repairing damage, and bypassing control to run 100% fan cooling , I have no more overheating issues at all even on very hot days..
  22. my condolences on buying anything Massimo.. we have all been thru the nightmare that is Massimo Motors problems.. Mine has been in the shop 6 times just this year.. Only one shop in my entire state will even work on them.. and Massimo wont cover warranty at all
  23. Preaching to the choir dude..... Mine overheated on its first day in its very first mile after buying it at Tractor Supply.. .. Tractor Supply and Massimo ignored my requests for help .. It has ben in the shop 6 times by 300 miles!! You have my sincerest condolences on buying a UTV from the worst company on the planet .. Does yours have the HISUN engine or the LINHAI engine?
  24. 29 miles? sounds like a typical Massimo experience.. poor quality, even worse service
  25. ask yourself why they are selling with only 300 miles... My Massimo was in the shop 6 times by the time it had 300 miles... I have 4 Honda ATVs with way more miles than that one and have never had a breakdown on any of them.. They ae bulletproof .. Also the imports may not be easy to find shops to work on them as well as parts availability
