  1. Well, overheating finally resolved.. 500 miles on MSU500 now , runs great... Heres the rub.. transmission seems to be making a whining noise in gear only .. increases with speed.. anyone got any ideas? Oil was just changed last month and is full and clear. Just cant express how happy I am with Massimo!!! NOT!!!
  2. On mine it has a vent screw at the pump and at the hose outlet on the head.. You must bleed out the air repeatedly from both as you add coolant with caps off .. if there is any air, the water will not flow .. you can drive it til the end of time and that air wont move by itself. You have to get it out ...Overheating is a major issue with Massimo ...
  3. I m sure there may be some that are trouble free .. But when the factory rep tells me on the phone that they dumped Hisun because they are "junk engines".. HIS WORDS ..... you really start to feel that you got hosed ...
  4. that starter was proudly built by the same guy who made my exceptional quality Hisun head gasket and head ..
  5. and people say I'm too hard on Chinese manufacturing? I also suggest you take your original to your local Automotive Electrical repair shop. Let them rebuild THAT one .. My local shop rebuilt a starter for $59 that Ford wanted $425 for new . Its been working for 6 years now
  6. its not just the windshield that vulnerable to windspeed , its also the top if you have one.. It will tear thru the 4 mounting screws and fly off . I built a reinforcement bracket on my MSU500 to support the front edge of the top and to reinforce the center ot the windshild .. I can tow at 75 mph without issue now
  7. Hondas are GREAT machines.. THE BEST in my opinion. We have 4 hondas.. they are practically indestructible.. 2 are 10 yrs old, 1 is 5yrs and the other is 3 years.. the oldest one runs just like the newest one.. not one of them has ever had a major issue.. oil changes, spark plugs and brake pads / tires is it. And the grandkids beat them to death. and here in the swamp, they take a beating. I am told that Kubotas are that way too, but ride hard and are very loud. I will be shocked if this HISUN lasts anywhere near that.. its not 3 yet , only 450 miles and has been in shop 6 times already
  8. lol yeah, but its only because THEY were real hard on my wallet replacing all their junk parts just to get mine even close to its FIRST OIL CHANGE .. They just dont seem to care that they have such a poor reputation , and refuse to back their warrenty. . I guess they just figure theres another sucker born every minute.. ................One thing is for certain... the bad taste of poor quality surely outweighs that sweet scent of a lower upfront price ..
  9. probably because chinese companies dont expect their engines to last more than one oil change? ..... if the oil was that black that fast, it may be clutch disc material .. I change my 4 Hondas once a year, its never black in any of them and we ride every weekend . and all have wet clutches
  10. as most surveys are.. you answer bunch of questions which they use to target ads at you, then sell your info to other marketers and just give you discount on their sponsors stuff. you can only spend on their site.. not enough to buy , just enough to discount.. . instead of a $10 cash
  11. what size.. 40 mph is mines top speed ... sorry did not catch the KPH ...someone else had that issue.. was the ECM
  12. Is this the typical scam promo where we waste 15 minutes doing it and then get $10 off only if we BUY ONE OF THEIR ITEMS?
  13. My MSU 500 is the same.. rear is not locked under 2wd position and front axles free wheel . you select 4wd, then slide cover and press LOCK .. it is much harder to steer in lock position .. warning sticker next to selector .. DO NOT EXCEDE 18 MPH in LOCKED position..
  14. Even Massimo admits the HISUN engines are junk.. thats why they now use Linhai engines .. I have 4 Honda ATCs.. they are bulletproof , indestructible . Wish I had bought the Pioneer instead of this MSU500 I have.
  15. I can tell you it IS NOT THE THERMOSTAT ..its the head gasket leaking into coolant, causing steam, and then blocking waterflow on top of the head .. You have no flow at radiator right? radiator cold when engine is hot? right? Its the HEAD GASKET...
  16. its P I R OGUE.....lol and a 8ft pole
  17. most of those listed are diesel or gas , not battery
  18. thats never gonna make it down our trails... gotta at leasy put front and rear winches.. AND ROLL BARS
  19. Do they make 4 wheel drive Golf carts with 1inch lug tires? ... Just asking, Because we dont have paved roads in the swamp
  20. I would think, If you lose oil pressure it kills the fuel pump to prevent engine damage
  21. no, I think not.. if you increase the time the fan runs to cool the water, everything works fine .. so radiator size is not the issue, nor is waterpump output .. its simply set up to run way too hot.. at least for my severe climate in the swamp of south Louisiana . Might be fine in Canada, but it cooks heads and gaskets down here REAL QUICK... Mine overheated on its very first day.. ..
  22. thats the problem in a nutshell.. the coolant returning to the engine is too damn hot.. how can it bring down the engine temp if its already hotter than the engine should run? its insane
