  1. Sorry I can't help with either of those models. I have a honda talon and a cfmoto 500 for the kids but welcome to the group!!
  2. Honda. Not even a question. Especially for reliability. It may not be the fastest or smoothest but it won't leave you on the trail stranded. No belt to break. Real transmission and gears. Every oil change also changes the trans fluid as they run in the same fluid. I had a pioneer 700 and it was amazing. Now have a talon. Never any issues on either aside from maintenance. Just my 2 pennies as a 24 year veteran mechanic.
  3. 2020. It had a package that came with winch and front and rear windows and roof and 27s. Kindablike an le in the newer years
  4. It's a speedwerx 3 inch lift. And 27x10x14 outback Maxx tires. I have a set of straight treads mounted on a different set of rims i run on the road since we can have them street legal here in NC. Those ride a little rough on pavement but are amazing off road
  5. It varies so much. My tracker 800sx crew averaged 20 mpg on the road but my honda talon 1000 with an actual 6 speed averages 27 mpg on the same roads. Here in North Carolina they can be street legal so drive ours on the road a lot
  6. Welcome! I too am from NC. I live in shelby, about halfway between Charlotte and Asheville. Had a 2020 tracker 800sx crew and now have a 2020 honda talon 1000x-4
  7. As a mechanic I can't say enough about our honda talon 1000x-4 live valve. We aren't drag racing it so it has plenty of power for everything we do. We ride with a rzr 1000 and a can am maverick and go every place they do and sometimes more. We always keep up with no problems without having to ride hard. The actual transmission with gears and clutches are leagues above a belt driven machine in terms of reliability. You'll notice every place you ride sells belts for all belt driven models for a reason. Those owners always talk about how quick they can change a belt. I just do a clutch relearn every oil change and I'm good to go. Also engine oil runs the transmission so every service is replacing both. Simple and reliable. But that's just my opinion as a 25 year mechanic.
  8. I think the tracker 800sx is the quietest on the market. We had one for about 3 years and loved it. Plenty of power and super quiet. Textron who makes it, makes many military vehicles and helicopters. They had roush of jack roush racing make all their engine and transmission mounts and exhaust and it is very wel done. We had a 6 seater and as our kids got older and started riding thier own sxs we went to a 4 seater honda talon. We love it but it is very loud compared to our tracker. We miss how quiet and smooth it was.

  10. Nope my 2020 800sx crew suspension is quiet. There are 4 grease zerks on the rear pivots that need grease pretty often or they squeak. There was a recall for the front springs making a banging sound on some. My belt will squeak for a few seconds when I first crank it but I wait til it quits before I move and it never does it again til a cold soak. Mine has 2900 miles and 410 hrs on it
  11. My front driveshaft did this on my 2020. You get a needle for your grease gun and put about 10 or 12 pumps into the rubber boot in the shadt where it collapses. The idea as you do on an f150 when the rear driveshaft makes a knock as you start off.
  12. Awesome! Glad to help, happy someone got it out easier than my first one lol
  13. Yeah I have a 2020 and did the same thing. It actually has cracked several places. Tail gate and in the bed different places. Hasn't effected anything yet other an eye sore.
  14. The detent ring on the inside of the axle releases by PUSHING IN on the axle then pry out against the diff. It's the wierdest design I've ever seen in my 24 years as a professional mechanic. It takes 2 people usually. One pushing hard straight in as the other prys out like normal.
  15. I had only had Hondas all my life and still an a diehard fan. They are the best made and still have a 95 fourtrax 300 that runs like the day we bought it. That being said after my pioneer, I bought a cfmoto and have had zero issues. It's fast, fun and reliable. For the price and everything that comes on it, it's hard to beat. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
  16. I've got a 2020 we bought new and it's done that same thing since the day we bought it. It seems to be the power steering. Not sure why it does it but I'll walk outside by it an hour or so later and it will still be whirring on and off. At first I kept thinking it would kill thw battery but we never had any issues. I deer hunt and drive near my stand but I am young and able to walk a long distance. I could definitely see it being a deal breaker if I were older or had trouble walking and had to park close to my stand.
  17. My 2022 zforce 500 has them. They aren't on the end links though. They are on the mounts where the bar attaches to the frame.
  18. When he says behind it, he's not wrong but you have to go to it from underneath the dash. It's a tight squeeze for soldering. It takes those simple 2 prong oval plugs but I needed more than what was provided. There are plugs that have power and ground. Some with power all the time. Some with power key on. I've wired radio, speakers, rear lights, turn signals, wiper, horn, interior lights.
  19. Hi, I have an 800sx crew. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of aftermarket parts yet but country cat has some things as does speedworx.. you often have to look up a 2019 textron prowler pro as its the same machine but a year older so a little more aftermarket support. Hope this helps
