  1. Could be because your machine is made with Hisun parts. Those of us commenting here at least have newer ones made from Linhai parts. (Who knows if those parts still come from the same factory though.)
  2. I have also noticed that over the past few days they have been pretty active on IG, posting new golf carts, motorcycles, etc.
  3. Could be a weak battery, bad connection or bad starter? I'd test the battery and check all connections first.
  4. I use Lucas products for both oil and differential.
  5. Thanks - going to see what I can find here at work today and probably change that battery out come Spring.
  6. During this winter storm we had I went to get my 550 out of the garage and take a look around. Battery was just a little too weak to turn it over. So took off the hood and much to my suprise the battery holder had slipped and pulled the cap off the left banks of the battery. If you haven't messed with it, it's a metal bar with a J bolt on each side. The problem looks to be that these J bolts do not run parallel to each other, but at an angle. Took the damn thing off (since every time I tried to tighten it, the cap would pop off again) and will attempt to fashion something else to secure the battery. Anyone else had this issue?
  7. Member Rustynutzz added a some led lighting and other stuff to his 550. Would think he added a rocker or two as well. Maybe he’ll chime in or you could reach out.
  8. Yea, sitting at work and can't think of any other way to do it either. Can't remember, can you take anything off on the passenger side to gain access?
  9. Just looked over in the CF section and saw zero replies to 2 questions asked about those models. Doesn't look like there are many owners here.
  10. Checked my 550 manual but found nothing about adding switches to that area.
  11. You running on regular Joe? I've been using Premium (maybe Midgrade once or twice).
  12. I've used my winch several times, had quite a few dead trees fall across trails at our hunting property that I removed. I've also pulled our finishing mower/brush hog cutting food plots as well as taking on some pretty tough trails at a nearby atv park. Hauled out a pretty good 9 point in the bed too! There have been a couple times it didn't start on the first turn after sitting for a week, but other than that mine has been a beast. Probably wouldn't hurt to go over nuts&bolts and connectors to make sure everything is secure. I bought mine from a Farm & Home store and they did a pretty good job of assembly. The shifting issue with yours may also be an assembly problem - the shift cables my need to be adjusted. Not sure how that is done as the manual does not cover that,
  13. First, you can get the oil filter from Massimo (they are on eBay too) or from Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DNRJ7VM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As far as changing gears, don't shift while moving - they aren't made that way. I also found my fluid levels were low off the showroom floor, but if you purchased last fall you would be past the break-in period and need to change fluids by now. When I did this after 20 hrs there were ALOT of shavings in the differential fluid that was drained out. Ended up with one in my finger too, so wear gloves. For differential fluid I went with Lucas. Another trick on changing gears if it is resisting, continue in the direction you were going just a bit, stop and shift again.
  14. As Joe stated, do not try to change anything while moving (shifting, locking diff). If that's not the case, then the shift cables may need to be adjusted.
  15. Now that you mention the kill switch on the brakes, I remember someone posting something about a loose connection on a brake light, but don't remember which utv they were working on. Travis also brought up the ignition switch in another thread that's up right now.
  16. No problem, hope you get it cleared out.
  17. Was able to cut/paste. RADIATOR Removing 1. Remove the hood; then remove the two cap screws securing the inner portion of the front fenders and the grille 2. Gently lift up on the front fenders where it meets the grille to gain access to the upper headlight cap screw; then remove the upper headlight cap screw; then repeat for other side. 3. Loosen and slide back the lower radiator hose clamp on the passenger side; then using a suitable clamp, clamp the hose to minimize coolant leakage; then disconnect the lower hose from the radiator; then loosen and slide back the upper radiator hose clamps on the driver side; then using suitable clamps, clamp the hoses to minimize coolant leakage; then disconnect the upper hoses. 4. Remove the two cap screws and lock nuts securing the radiator bracket to the frame; then remove the radiator bracket from the vehicle; then disconnect the radiator fan electrical connection. Discard lock nuts. Inspect cap screws and replace if damaged. 5. Lift the radiator assembly from the vehicle. Account for two upper and two lower rubber mounting grommets. Cleaning and Inspecting 1. Flush the radiator with water to remove any contaminants. 2. Inspect the radiator for leaks and damage. 3. Inspect all hoses for cracks and deterioration. 4. Inspect all fasteners and grommets for damage or wear.
  18. That's odd, I just clicked on the box in my message and it popped right up. Quite a few steps in removing, if you want to message me your email I"ll send it that way.
  19. Removing radiator starts on p103, may just be able to unhook lower hose and flush. 2021_Service_Manual_TRACKER_800SX_2263-005.pdf
  20. Sounds like you're planning on quite a bit of road miles, so whatever you get you may want to either change what tires are on it or have 2 sets. Off-road tires do not fare well on pavement. If you have a Yamaha dealer nearby, take a look at the Wolverine series, seem to hear fewer issues from Yamaha owners.
  21. Actually, the Massimo's are now made by Linhai. Although the grill on my TBoss550 says Massimo, there are Linhai stamped parts everywhere else. But agree with Travis, alot of Hisun owners reporting problems here.
  22. Most come in pairs, so 2. As far as length, I'd consider where most of his riding is done. If on trails thru timber I'd go with the shorter version (3-4ft).
  23. Brent - any more info? New, used, battery ok?
  24. Guess that’s another upgrade from going to Linhai.
  25. So during hunting season the dash lights on my TBoss were so damn bright I could hardly see where I was going when driving out for morning hunts. Resigned myself to putting my stocking cap over it until last weekend. While sitting in my stand, got on Amazon and ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DY1ZHKS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A little measuring and a pair of scissors and I can see again. It is difficult to read the cluster in daylight, but perfect at nighttime.
