  2. Yes. It took a long time to get there. I tried to fix it by changing many parts that did not need to be changed: starter solenoid, battery, ignition switch, ignition button, starter. I read somewhere that a bad ground could cause many such problems. I looked until I found the loose ground. It was staring at me the whole time near the center of the passenger side of the engine.

  4. Yes, the main ground wire was loose on the passenger side of engine. I cleaned and tightened the connection, and everything 's been perfect ever since.
  5. Garry, I can't help you with that. Until Travis posted his second link for a service manual, I thought that there were no service manuals at all for the Odes Dominator.

  7. I had a very similar problem with a 2018 Odes 1000. I had a loose ground on passenger side of engine (for Odes 1000). This might not be your problem but it's something to check.
  8. My bet is also on loose or corroded ground. Why did you change both headlights? Did both go out at the same time? That's unlikely. This again sounds like possible loose connection or ground.
  9. Just a guess based on a similar problem I had. It seems to be going into limp mode. This is often caused by air in the radiator hoses. If so, raise front end by at least 20 inches, remove rad cap and idle machine until all air bubbles are out while adding coolant. If the problem keeps coming back, there's a coolant leak which needs to be fixed.
  10. I might know what causes your noise. I got a very similar sound when I removed and re-installed the primary clutch on my 2018 Odes Dominator 1000 (a HISUN relative). There's a plastic washer or spacer that rattles if the clutch bolt isn't torqued enough. Check your HISUN manual for the correct torque. I think mine needs to be torqued to 70 or 75 lbs but I didn't torque it quite enough so it still makes this racket. I might just remove this washer next time I have to remove the clutch because I'm afraid of stripping the bolt if I tighten it more..
  11. Depends what you mean by "doesn't want to rev up". If it barely revs faster than idle, it's probably in limp mode which means the ECU is protecting the machine by preventing if from rev'ing because of some error. Since the machine was tipped on its side, it's possible that there is air in the radiator hoses, which is fixed by burping it: raise the front wheels at least 20 inches off the ground and idle the machine with the rad cap off while adding coolant until all air bubbles are out.
  12. Tebo, I don't know if Massimo needs a special coolant, but I use regular green colored coolant. To prevent losing coolant while it idles, I stick a small funnel in the rad (after sanding off the funnel seam) and keep it about 1/4 full of coolant. This way, I don't lose coolant while the coolant expands and shrinks during idle, and it makes it easier to see the air bubbles come out.
  13. I had this problem with an Odes UTV. There was too much air in the rad. The rad sensor can't read the temperature of air. To remove the air, I lifted the front wheels 20" (or more) higher than the rear (as on a trailer ramp), idled with rad cap off, and kept adding coolant to keep it full until all air bubbles came out which took about half an hour. The fan came on as soon as enough air came out. But if at first, the fan doesn't come on, turn engine off and let it cool BEFORE it overheats, then continue idling and removing air bubbles until the fan does come on. If this problem, keeps coming back, there's a leak that needs fixing.

  15. Sounds like a problem I had with a loose and corroded ground strap. Everything would run well when the engine was cold, but the expanding hot engine would create a small gap between the ground and the engine. I solved it by cleaning and tightening the ground.
  16. I have the exact same problem with a 2018 Odes Dominator 1000 cc. I still haven't found the cause of the problem. I "fixed" it by running a wire from the solenoid "I" terminal (the small terminal that is NOT connected to the ignition switch) to the frame. It now always starts instantly without waiting for the pump to do its thing first. The problem is solved but I still want to know what's causing it, if someone knows.
