  1. I called one of the service centers near me in Battle Creek, and they said they used to be a retail dealer but are only a service center now. No problem with them working on the Axis. Got 300 miles on it and thinking I should have the valves adjusted just for good measure.
  2. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the topic. Bob
  3. Thanks, but I did that already. I did a lot of research on these before I bought it, and figured that if I have to pay I'm still saving something. I have a repair service that will will on it but they won't do warranty work because they don't pay worth a crap. Hope they'll reimburse me . It'll work out. Might not even need them.
  4. Thats the next step. I called to find out if they had any other dealers or service centers, but nobody new.
  5. My Axis 500 which is a Hisun, went from $7999 when I bought in April, to $8999 near the end of the year. I'm a veteran, so buying it from Lowes gets me a 10% discount. Now if I could find someone near me to work on it if I need it. Another dealer that sells Hisuns won't work on it because I didn't buy it from them. Luckily nothing has happened to it. It also has a two year warranty.
  6. I can't help with that problem, but, I've had the same machine since April. Did my first oil change with a filter I ordered from the Motorcycle Doctor. Worked great but figured there had to be one I could get locally. Checked the other day and found water in my oil. Drained it but didn't change the filter. I cleared up quite a bit so I changed it again and did the filter also. Found that a Purolator L14215 oil filter from Tractor Supply fits perfectly. I think the water is condensation in the motor from not letting it warm up enough. The water bottle and radiator hasn't lost any fluid at all. Too many short trips and not letting it get hot enough. Good luck on your problem and don't forget to let us know what you find. I've had mine attached to a battery tender junior since it got cold here. Bob
  7. I have the same machine and had the same problem. For one thing I found that the exhaust was loose. Tightened it and it seemed better. Cooler up here in Michigan now so its hard to tell if it helped that much. Found a little water in the oil lately. Water coolant isn't disappearing so I think it is because of condensation from not letting it get hot enough when I use. Too many short trips.

  9. Hey Chuck, I just bought an Axis500 from Lowes a couple months ago myself. I don't have any lights come on the dash except for the flashing x on the four wheel diagram. Hope that helps. Just joined the forum, hence the late answer. Was told by Hisun that the Axis is the same as the HS series of their UTVs.
