I am looking for the Joyner renegade r4 4x4 actuator. Does anyone know if there is a manual lever to engage/disengage the 4wd? thanks

It doesn’t seem that the actuator is trying to engage. I did put a new relay so could it be the actuator that went out?

Hello, my 2008 Joyner renegade R4 is not engaging in 4wd. Could it be the rocker switch? If so, what kind of switch is needed? Thanks for your input.

I have an 08 Joyner Renegade R4. This weekend we tried to climb a slightly steep hill but we kept losing power about 2/3 of the way up. I am not sure if we simply don’t have enough power in the r4 or it was something else causing it. i would think it would have enough power to climb as a friend of mine has a Can Am 800 and made it easily, while we kept losing power. Any idea as to what this problem could be?

I ended up replacing the thermostat and flushing the radiator and coolant with new coolant. It was quite dirty. Seems to be working better, but still running a bit hot. I also bought a new water pump for it and going to end up changing that to see if that regulates temp much better.

Just got back from hunting the mountains in Northern NM and Joyner performed admirably. It was a bit loud and may have scared off some of the animals. Is there a way to make the muffler quiet?

The coolant temperature light does not come on.

Hello, Coolant thermometer gets to max temperature after about 7-10 minutes idling, above the 237 degree marker. However, the coolant temperature light does not turn on. Radiator hose is cool, the hose to the block is hot, but not extremely hot. The engine block doesn’t seem to be hot either. The thermostat opens up and works. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Faulty water pump maybe?
