  1. If you noticed my picture, that is our shie tzu that absolutely loves to ride and drive the two seat version that i am normally in.
  2. Guys, Thank you so much for taking the time to help out a fellow trooper. I have a two seat trooper that runs great and has had no problems. I bought this one for spare parts and found out that it had 288 miles on it. Figured it would make a great family buggy for somebody that doesn't have the budget for the name brand units. Once I get it running I will look for somebody that fits that mold.
  3. I pulled the injectors and they would not cycle so I removed them from the manifold and they were full of varnish in chunks, I have them soaking in injector cleaner. Do you know what voltage the injectors work on? is it 12 volts?
  4. It starts and runs on starting fluid, so I know everything else is working, just no fuel.
  5. How do you check to see if they are getting the fire signal. The varnish is also a possibility that I considered but it had been sitting so long with no fuel in the system that I kind of thought that the electrical side was more suspect. I assumed that the pump signal would be the same circuit but maybe not. Do you know which fuse is for the injector signal.
  6. I have a Joyner Trooper 1100 4 place that has been sitting for a number of years. I have everything taken care of but i can't get the fuel through the injectors. Fuel pump puts full pressure on them but they don't turn on or spray fuel. Any ideas?
  7. You didn't mention if you are a mechanic or not. I have a Joyner Trooper 1100 which I bought for $3k and it has worked out well for me, but i know how to work on it if there is a problem. There are no other shops around that i even know will work on it. I also have a Honda Pioner5-1000 and a Honda Talon which I lover but they are $12k and $17K, but bulletproof. I would stay with the name brands and don't touch the Chinese knockoffs that break and no body will work on them. You also didn't mention if you want it for recreation or as a work vehicle. The pioneer works well as both, but the talon is strictly recreation but it is a blast. Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, razors all seem to be pretty good machines.

This is my modified trooper with Power steering, armored front fenders and light bar, covered glove box so that stuff stays in, new rear fenders that the tires can't touch, rear engine cover of expanded metal aluminum, larger tires, modified softer rear suspension, and real comfortable seats. As you can see, i have added a Honda Talon to my stable. Man is it smooth. I need to do something with my Joyner shocks.

  10. My grand nephew took my trooper out and stalled it on a hill and it rolled backwards spinning the motor backwards and now the throttle will not drop below 2500 RPM. Can the butterfly snap backwards on the trooper causing damage to it when the motor gets turned backwards? Any ideas?
  11. Look at it this way. We are still driving utv's like there is no tomorrow, eating good food and discovering new pain meds every day, I have 10 grandkids and I feel totally wealthy even though I don't have any money. I still wouldn't trade it for the world. Family is what it is all about.
  12. They forgot to mention that your golden years are when you spend all of your gold trying not to hurt.
  13. Getting old aint for sissies.
  14. I also got my knees replaced but they work pretty well. You might look at the rear pickup bed drop steps available to help us step into the back bed of a pickup, which you could mount on the side of you buggy and it flips up out of the way when you are riding. That way you carry your step with you. It helps me for the same reason. The bed is to high to sit up on and the bumper is to high for my knees to get up to it.
  15. For ability to get around your UTV/atv is much more capable than any existing wheelchairs including the track style. Their range is very limited and they are not good on wet slippery surfaces or any kind of steep hill or sidehill. Can you modify or have somebody else modify your side by side to make it easy to access. Looking at your side by side it looks like some overhead straps could help your access. You didn't mention if you are paraplegic or quadriplegic.
