I printed off four model manuals then got lazy and simply used TJs website. If you do print one off for yourself and are not to sure how to do odd & even pages back to back, download the file onto a memory stick and take it down to a Stationary shop and get them to do it. That way the manual will end up having the bookbinding done properly. Cheers Mike

I have used TJ USAs website as a reference for years and now its gone. It looks like it is getting rebuilt, but if you have not got a Trooper, Renegade or Commando Manual, I have found a site that still has on-line owners manuals for these models. It is Joyner Sport Russia and the link is Ðóêà ïîìîùè - ÄæîéíåðÑïîðò If you can not translate to English the Commando is the 2nd link down, Renegade the 4th and Trooper the 5th. All three manuals are in English. Download the one you need on to your computer so you have copy. Not a bad site really, have a look at some photos from this link Ôîòî/âèäåî - ÄæîéíåðÑïîðò They have dealers nation wide and it looks like the 650 Sand Spiders are the most popular Joyner. Cheers Mike.

Joyner Trooper T2 Steering Looseness Fix KIT Custom

Quality costs I suppose, you couldn't buy a Bentley at VW Beetle prices. Contact Lenny, you might be able to get mates rates. Cheers Mike -
I understand now. Looks failsafe and solid. Will the lever go beside the front locker lever OK? You might be able to leave the old locker in and use it as a plug, just make sure the engager is out then disconnect the wire plug. Cheers Mike.
-
Talk about a stab in the dark. Does it use the same engager port, surely it must do? Regardless, you will have to take out the old locker. If the old port in not getting used, it will have to be plugged. I would of thought it would be a lot easier to base the new one around the old engager, making it a bolt off, bolt on. Never mind, at least you know it wont let you down. Cheers Mike.

Have not done one but I would imagine something like this: 1/ Locate the electric locker behind the front axle on the drivers side. It's a plastic box. 2 /Disconnect the plug-in wire and tape over old connecter (you might need it again) . 3/ Then unscrew the old locker(not screws on cover but protruding from the base) and pull it out towards the rear. Do not pull straight out towards you, a small rod engager needs to come out of the axel first and that needs to slide away from the axle to the back. 4 /Your new kit should have the same screw paten as the old locker. Install the new locker making sure it is properly in line with the entry point into the axle. Also make sure you drive the engager home into the axle and then tighten the fasteners. 5/ Now if you have a Trooper with the fuel tank in the front, you are on your own here and you will have to use your imagination a bit with regards to where the lever placement will be. If you have a newer Trooper the fuel tank wont be a problem, just install to the right of the front locker lever. Make sure the cable is clear of obstructions by using cable ties. My suggestions with a fuel tank at the front are: Install low down & in level with the left of the hydraulic reservoirs, or replace lever with a manual chock set up and install anywhere, or just contact Lenny who has designed and fitted one himself. Once done, you will be all smiles. If the old electric locker has stopped working, it can be fixed if you haven't stripped the plastic gears. I hope this helps and good luck. Cheers Mike.

Hi David, thanks for coming on here and personal telling us all how it is for you and the factory in China. Since the news broke we have all been a bit shocked but still stood behind our off road vehicle of choice, "Joyner". I was surprised just how positive Joyner owners and Dealers have taken the news with the only negative remarks evolving around spare parts. Thanks to you and some of the Dealers quick thinking, spare parts are no longer a problem. Have a good look on this site why you are here as there are some amazing solutions to some issues that have happened with the Trooper. I'll send through an email to you shortly. Cheers Mike

I'm the wrong man there. The current management that has failed, never once replied to any of my emails. That speaks volumes right there. I asked the manufactures last week but got no answer. Sorry Cinda, I just don't know. Jarrad, I did hear that the new diffs were given to a US Dealer as a trial to see if they could break one, which they could not. Does that ring a bell? Cheers Mike.
-
Snowman6479 or Jarrad from No Limits Powersports is about to put in an order directly from the manufacture. If you need something even if it's for a service a month from now, contact him at [email protected] if your dealer is out of stock. One month from now your Dealer will be out of stock so think ahead. He is on the ball with the new diffs so email him directly to find out the changes and price. By the way, no I'm not on commission with No Limits nor do I have shears in their company but they are pro-active with keeping your Joyner running so why no support them back. Cheers Mike.

Read the last post on page 27 of this thread. BuggyNews Buggy Forum • View topic - Alert! Alert! Alert! Problems with Team Joyner USA It is a general letter from TJ USA announcing Team Joyner USA is Going out of Business and a final date. I have been in communication with the Manufactures in China and have set up a few dealers to import spare parts directly to them and one dealer had already set something up for themselves. Spare parts will no longer be an issue. TJs are selling off their stock at cost so there might be a period of a few weeks without certain parts. The manufactures are shocked at what has happened and are owed a lot of money, but are going to make you, Joyner owners number one priority and deal directly with Joyner dealers until a new partner takes over the American rights. This is not a good time for the Manufactures either but they only have one agenda at this time, continuation of the brand and a new American partner. Cheers Mike

Done, and I've sent an email to you. The Diffs were at TJ USA and have been secured. I will have contact details to pass on for those interested hopefully soon, but wont post his name here so he does not receive emails before I have spoken to him. If he is happy to leave contact details on our website, then will do. If you would like his email address when I have it, contact me Mike at/ ... [email protected] If you need parts please don't ask me to directly import something for you, as has happened. The answer will always be no. As much as I would love to do this, I simply can not. I'll only go through a USA or Canadian dealer so get them to contact me and I will explain to them, the procedure. This will only be available until the US and North American rights have been allocated. Cheers Mike.
-
Will do. I'll send an e-mail for more info on the new diffs and gear ratio sets. Cheers Mike.

Not knowing anything at all about TJ Canada's structure I will presume that they are part of TJ USA's franchise only and have no financial connections. That means all stock including spare parts would come though TJ USA. They very well might owe money for stock on hand in which case could be pulled in but that's only speculation. They are not an independent importer but could be if they get on to it right now and would suggest it. If no Corporation fills the void in the near future and you need spare parts that your dealer can no longer source, give them my contact details and I will put an order in on their behalf at no extra charge. That means I will pass on the cost rate only which is way cheaper than wholesale until there is a takeover. If there is a USA based dealer that is interested in a bulk order of spare parts to tie things over for a short period contact me. The important thing is, the customers who brought a Joyner in good faith and the Joyner brand name it's self. Lets try and keep both healthy. rocmoc, they were testing new diffs so will try and find out if they are on the production line yet or were.

IPLEX, is out of business as of November last year. Pulled down by the economy and an interest they had with Chrysler that went bad. So T.J USA as we know it is a gone Burger. They are trying the un-load as much stock & parts as they can before the courts put a freeze on there assets. Be careful of buying anything through their E-bay store or over the phone. Once they have your money you are in limbo until you receive the products. If the courts intervene in-between receiving your $ and sending it out, you will have to stand in line to get it back. Order directly through your local dealers or go down to H.Q and exchange money for goods on the spot. Support your dealer because he is the one that is still trying to stay in business and they will need turn over to stay that way. Cheers Mike.

Hey guys, first of all glad to see the site back up. Cheers admin, I know what you must of been going through. I would hate to loose all this information we as a team have gather since day one but more over, contact with people I consider friends, even though I have never meet any of you. I have had a couple of emails on the situation but by no means pretend to fully know what's going on. What I do know is this is not very nice times for Joyner owners, dealers and imports like me so the best advice I can give is, to just wait for the dust to settle. It might be 3 or 4 days might also be months. Right now, we don't full understand what's going on. What I can add is, in the worst case scenario, if no one full's the void left by TJ USA (in my opinion this wont happen) the manufacture still has worldwide commitments separate to the Team Joyner franchise. Joyner is huge in Spain and England with growing markets in Portugal, Germany and France. We are independent here in New Zealand as is Australia but the biggest market by a country mile is the USA and Canada. The manufacture is not going away so that means spare parts will continue. Going back to the worst case scenario, if no new importer stepped up to the mark in the States, I could use my contacts to send spare parts directly to current dealers only, at cost until someone took control. I'm sure between me and the dealers on UTV Boards we will source any spare part you need, but lets just wait until things settle down. I have a sneaky suspicion all will be fine. This is what we say out here when the shite hits the fan..."Bugger", so "Bugger", but all is not lost. Cheers Mike.

T.Js did have a T4 bench seat in there last catalog but not in the current one. http://www.teamjoynerusa.com/2009_Joyner_Catalog.pdf Your best bet is to contact them at http://www.teamjoynerusa.com/2009_Joyner_Catalog.pdf and click on parts info. Cheers Mike.

I got a SD-3 Fram Sure Drain for nz$25 (us$18.53) and very happy with it too. The thread size is M12 X 1.25. I don't practically like oil running down my arm so would pay up to 35 bucks no worries but you would be getting ripped off if you got charged that much if I can buy a made in the USA product out here for half the price you pay there. Cheers Mike.

Fast Freddy's kit sounds good in this 1100 Sand Viper Cheers Mike.

We'll get you on youtube yet. 70" sounds hot, we had 25C which is 77F so your not doing it too hard. Cheers Mike.

Welcome Jake, the more dealers, the better for all of us and that's a great story about assisting the red cross. Thanks for the info on the snow plough too. What's the lastest on the 650cc engines, are they a gone burger? I had a look at your website and like the way you have set up your business with a different approach making it more personal and offering different services. I reckon you're do well. Cheers Mike.

Forgot to add Lenny that if you go ahead with this project, try and replace the circlip with a ball bearing to secure the driveshaft in place. Like used on Walker ride-on lawn mowers. Just think of the advantage you would have with that. Not sure if counter weight is need as its right on the pivot gear. Food for thought anyway. Cheers Mike.
-
One thing to watch out for is the physics for sure, or put it finer, "flex". A two piece drive shaft will sort out any flex better than a single between the axels & the transmission and if you are going to reduce the strength to save weight, it might not cope to well. 98 newton meters of torque will behave differently to a lighter single shaft off road. When you floor it with your supercharger, flex will come into play. Not much but over time only you will know how this will work out. The good news is you will still have the stock driveshaft and if one pops out in the middle of no where, you will still have 2WD to get yar home. That been said, I like the idea and would expect nothing less from you and if your happy with the above calculations (beyond me) then go for it. Added stress will be your enemy though. Cheers Mike.
