Beautiful pictures, looks like you had a good time. How did the shocks go? I can see why you would want the best shocks possible over there with all that hard ground and rocks to deal with. I don't have a problem with the stock shocks in my terrain but if I do up grade, it will be with F-O-As. Cheers Mike.

Hi JeffC, I deal with Joyner UTVs but given your needs with only 2wd the Kawasaki 2010 Mule 600 if your buying new. Two added bonuses with this Mule is the wire barrier protecting you from firewood coming through to the cab area if you stop suddenly or go down a steep hill and a LSD diff that can be fully locked to help you get out of the mud in winter. http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/product-s...d=15&id=393 If your buying 2nd hand look at some of the 4wds as they will be superior to 2wd with hauling heavy loads. You will need 4wd with very heavy loads going up or coming down slopes regardless. There is a brand new Joyner Commando 4 seater on E Bay that is a bank repo item number 320437706089 that's only up to us$2025 (MSRP: $9500)as of today that ends in 6 days. That's got to be worth a look. Cheers & happy shopping, Mike.

Bad Ass Golf Carts, I just love that name. Had a look on their website and his golf carts are indeed "Bad Ass". Cinda with his fibreglass fabrication skills he would be the man to come up with a new design for the front guards to keep mud and sand contained. For those of you that have gone to the larger diameter wheels, the rear guards need to be set higher too. Cheers Mike.

.......... I hope he forgives me for saying this, but, he placed 2nd overall in the Baja 1000 and that deserves a tremendious amount of respect. He could very well drive my Trooper and tell me that it could be a lot better and I would listen...... Lenny Lenny or Flatbed, tell us more about the Baja 1000 race. Congrats Flatbed, that's no mean feat. Cheers Mike.

Hey Lance, long time no see, good to see you back mate. I think what's going on can be narrowed down to the line from the fuel filter to regulator with the pump in the middle. What we do know is once the fuel reaches the fuel rail under good psi she's all systems go. Just thinking outside the box a bit, I've got a sneaky suspicion that the fuel pump and the fan share the same relay. They do in the Renegades so it could be some sort of draw on power or whatever. What happens every time you turn the ignition on..... the fuel pump pumps and the fan goes through it's cycle. Food for thought anyway. Cheers Mike.

Gumball, I enjoyed the photos. Looks like you had a good time. Not many pics of your Trooper there, but if your like me, always filming or taking photos from my Trooper of where I'm going, or of other people. That mud looked familiar. Have you got a canvas enclosure? I find them great in the mud & rain. Anyone with a stock canvas enclosure should install a zip for the front screen. Cheers Mike.

I think it's been sorted by now but I too received the forbidden access page. The way around it is to push your reload button & bingo. Kinarfi, I forgot to log out again so you may of hung around for a reply, sorry about that. Cheers Mike.

plumber, I had a look at the specs and price & it's all good. When I 1st saw the photo I must admit it was over-kill but they are mini-monsters for ATV and Utility Vehicles. Makes good sense to me----------enjoy. Cheers Mike

Headlights & Spotlights are both 35/35W. I went down to my locale auto sparky shop to grab some 100W bulbs to replace with and he said the casing unit might not be rated for 100W. In other words the heat could be too much so decided to leave it for somebody else to be the guinea pig 1st. I did buy a set of replacement Headlights with a stone guard that had 100W bulbs for $70 (us$38). Gumball, it should be fine to upgrade up to 60W with the stock casing, I just wanted the more powerful bulb with no worries. One pain in the butt thing you will come across is one of the wires is soldered onto the bulb. If you go ahead with the bulbs, personally I would replace with a Halogen Blue Zenon @ 60W. Cheers Mike.

Thanks kinarfi, I must of had a Minties moment (kiwi lingo) & that would make the L stand for losing it. Lenny, I have a Spring Rate Calculator for you. The link is http://f-o-a.com/calculator.html . It could be just a rough guide, I really don't know however Flatbed will see you right. This tyre size Calculator is also handy for the change with your Speedo if you have up or down graded your stock tire size. http://www.4wdbits.co.nz/tyrecalculator.aspx Cheers Mike.

A. I just realised I might of giving you a dumber answer. I thought you were referring to F.O.A Shocks but just noticed you said F.A.O in which case it would be referring to me as a Forgetful Arrogant & Obsolete. Cheers Mike. One of the nice thing about being a moderator is getting to mess with other's posts. That said, my comment is We all have our problems, don't we. And when you made the post originally, you put F. O. L. and that worried me as to whether it was a typo or not, but I fixed it for you. Kinarfi

This is for owners of a Trooper, Renegade & Commando 2 & 4 Seater UTVs to express in their view, an improvement on current models for the next model to be released. Not so much for problem areas that have been discussed elsewhere. To get the ball rolling. On all UTVs, improve the quality of the hardware used. On a C2,C4,R2 and R4 add a rubber flares to the front guards. On a T2 & T4 add rubber mud guards to front & rear. On new models with round drain holes on floor boards, add rubber bungs to stop dust, sand and water entering the cab. On UTV accessories, align the fairlead on the winch for correct feed onto drum. Increase spot light bulbs to 100w. Upgrade canvas enclosures to a PVC enclosure. I see all of the above as small inexpensive upgrades to improve quality and comfort. Kinarfi, feel free to change the way this should be formatted. For example as suggestions come in, add them to a heading. Cheers Mike.

Anylizer, I did have you in mind when I said 4 or 5 right here. He's a thought though, why don't we start a thread for improvements Trooper owners would like to add on future models and the Commando/Renegade owners can add to it too. In fact I'll just do it. Cheer Mike.

Thanks A. Iplex deserves a bit of time to prove it's self. We can only speculate with how Joyner is going to move forward from here & in my view, we should get behind Iplex & they should also support you, Joyner owners. No company wants to read or here about their product failing or being talked about in a negative manner even if it was a past management issue. It would be good advertising if Iplex would come to the party & fix all known faults but that is up to them and in no way are they obligated to do so as new owners. If it cost 50k that would be a sound investment if it generated 250k plus in sales. Iplex, I wish you all the best & if you are looking for 1 or 2 consultants who know what they are talking about, you will find 4 or 5 right here on UTV Boards. Cheers Mike.

F-O-A & the link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F-O-A-Coilo...6#ht_1046wt_732 For $323 per shock & thats with springs and they will valve these shocks to your specification of Light, Med, or Firm on compression, and Zero, Light, Med. for rebound. I think 4x4x454 has mentioned these as I have before. Cheers Mike.

Tim, in the latest Joyner 2009 catalogue http://www.thunderinc.com/2009_Joyner_Catalog.pdf the UTV and Buggy models have been reduced to just a few models. Is this what they are going to concentrate on or are they retaining the whole range & just promoting the more popular models because more of these are available to sell. Any other info on the new owners from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Mike.

Man you guys are so lucky in the States to have the competition with retail stores to help drive the prices down and keep it real. The retail I paid for the Bosch over here was us$170 on special. I could of got 3 of the fuel pumps Lenny just got for that price. Good find Lenny so defiantly add this to the list Kinarfi Cheers Mike.

BeeZee62, I had a look at the pics & it's another good looking Trooper. All the different mods that have been applied to Troopers in general look and work great. If I was you though BeeZee62 I would be thinking seat heaters and a full enclosure after looking at that snow. Nice job mate and I know you will be smiling with those King Shocks. Cheers Mike.

Hi Gumball, Thanks for the offer, I might end up ordering some and I'll just get it sent directly but it'd the freight bill that is the killer. You end up buying something worth $20 that ends up costing $120. Looks like a really good product so might even bring in a shipment from the supplier to on-sell. Cheers Mike
