Welcome Bill, rocmoc has said a lot of good things about you and I think your fit in no worries at all. Cheers Mike.

Hi Tom & welcome to UTV Boards, most of the talk seems to happening in the Joyner Trooper section at the moment with good info that will be relevant to all, including riding areas, 5th wheel and common replacement parts like shocks, wheels and tires. So feel free to post there any time and with 23 years of ATVing behind you, your input will be most welcome. Cheers Mike.

Kinarfi, I noticed that too. What you have to do is manually tick the save sent box. When you send a PM at the bottom of the box you type in has a heading "Options" & all you do is tick the add a copy to sent folder. Done. Cheers Mike

Yep it does need to be tighter. There are no eyelets in the door sill area, just a row of Velcro. I don't want to stick on double-sided Velcro onto the sill to receive it so will leave until I get the pop domes. It should tighten up real good though. Cheers Mike.

Here they are. The doors zip down and I just took it for it's 1st spin with it on and surprisingly, it's not to bad vision but not as good as glass. Cheers Mike

I received a full canvas enclosure for a Trooper last week and it's not bad, but I will make a few changes with it to make it user friendly. In it's current form, the front wind screen can't be zipped down and it takes to long to put on & take off. I'm thinking ether a zip for the front screen or cut that section off completely and add Velcro hook & loop strips. The other change would be to add pop dome hardware instead of eyelets for the existing bolts to fasten into. The reason for these changes are two fold. Firstly, on a hot day or when the front screen gets very muddy, it needs to come off and secondly to get it off you have a lot of unscrewing to do including removing the light bar. Pop domes are the same as what's used in the marine industry and bolt straight into the existing hardware. It's a no-brainier really. I'll post photos of the un-modified enclosure on the Trooper soon. Cheers Mike.

No I'll get Jimmy, he's a better sucker than me.

Nice job Kinarfi, that will work. I like quick easy solutions like this, thinking outside the square. I'm not sure my better half is going to be best pleased when she does the vacuuming later this week. But I'll be happy though. Cheers Mike.

Jimbo, we could of stayed on RA and flung crap back at you until the cows came home. This is a new site with new people and I for one will try not to go down that level anymore. UTV Board is a bloody good place to communicate with each other who have a similar interest. You don't with us anymore. We have moved on and have let go of the negative past. Try it, you might like it. Welcome to UTV Boards by the way Jimmy and I hope you can find something positive while your here. If you need a hand or have a suggestion, admin is a man of action and is on the ball, so don't hesitate to PM him. Cheers Mike.

Hola/Kia ora Casey & welcome to UTV Boards. There is a lot of good info with the Joyners that has been discussed with more topics popping up all the time and we look forward to your input. Paiute3 has a T4 like you so no doubt your feed off each other. I kind of get the feeling everyone is going to want to get to know you because of where you live and your T4. Cheers Mike.

Glad your here flatbed. Great news about your daughter, that's something to celebrate. When s*** happens to us, you take it on-board, but when it's your kids, that really hurts. I didn't know you had raced in the baja, man that would be awesome to do that but I bet your back would give you grief after 1000 miles of pounding. By the way, my name is made up from 1 part, one of my favourite songs "Highway Star" by Deep Purple and 1 part, the fact that I greet most people by the typical Kiwi way by raising both eyebrows and saying "Bro". My mates started calling me "bro __ star". Mike.

Good to have you here Tim, the place wouldn't be the same without you. There has already been alot of good posts with plenty to get on with and all without you know what in between. UTV Board is easy to navigate around plus new ideas are welcomed by the staff here & with just discussing Joyner talk by Joyner people, it's a pleasure. Enjoy. I'll send you a PM soon. Cheers Mike

Not only do I come from a different country than you guys & gals but my miss-spent youth through to adult hood was more cars, cars & faster cars. I lived for cars and from an early age, 19 years old a had my 1st business which involved driving around and servicing the North Island of NZ every six weeks and the South Island once or twice a year driving fast cars. More often than not I'd end up racing a sales rep I knew from one city to the next. Over here back then, you could get your full drivers licence at 15 and I spent the first 10 years as a boy racer. I'm mellow now but when I first drove the Trooper that old feeling came rushing back & on the odd occasion I have taken myself & the Trooper to the limit - well to my limit anyway. I think what gets my blood rushing is that sound when you 1st start it up. Cheers Mike

rocmoc, without no doubt at all, this was one design oversight on the earlier T2 that is very frustrating. The only 2 ways around it in my view is to cut a larger hole for easier access to the drain plug or go the whole hog and remove the welded panel directly beneath the sump and relocate the T connection housing the hydraulic rear parking brake hoses. The T connection could stay put if a supporting 4cm east to west boxed brace is welded in place of the now removed panel for it to bolt onto. If you do weld on a supporting brace, all that's need is to add another brace further up for the original panel to bolt onto, otherwise replace the cut off panel with a new oversize panel and bolt onto existing panels. I know rocmoc, easier said than done and I haven't made the effort but I think this is your only answer and you are gaining a little weight in doing it. Cheers Mike

I got your PM. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE SOME PICS OF THE PADDLES @ GORDON WELLS. This site is user friendly so it wont take long to get up to speed. Welcome to UTV Boards by the way, I'm enjoying not having to defend Joyner all the time. Cheers Mike

I know, but I wait it gets worse. I liked your idea so much with the nail & screw that I'm pinching that as well. Cheers Mike.

I noticed that on my 1st demo a Commando and have been using Morey's heavy duty oil stabilizer in all diffs since. The metal shavings just goes to show how important that 1st oil change is & this occurs in all areas when running in. The diffs tend to get forgotten so use the best product you can. kinarfi, mate I like your idea with the nail and as this is constant issue with me, I'm going to try that one. Cheers Mike

I have two of the new rear plastic trays but what concerned me with them was people riding in the rear & going through them onto the engine after a bump. The do look fairly solid having said that. The plastic would handle a fair bit of heat before they melted Cinda but if you are worried about, an engineer could cut some diamond plate to fit in 1/4 of an hour. Cheers Mike

It sure is. We call it other names out here too but that's the correct name for it. Cheers Mike.

rocmoc, I just remembered the very 1st photos of the Trooper had a flatesh dump bed & who knows TJ might have some lying around Cheers Mike.

Hi Nanny Heby, I would say your jpg file is to large where-as in gif it's acceptable. You could try reducing the jpr with a photo editor programe like Picasa2 which is a free download. Welcome by the way, I'm new too. Cheers Mike

I just noticed too. Maybe Shannon knows we have had enough & at times given too much crap. Cheers Mike.

TJ do a diamond plate flatbed for the Commando & Renegade models but if you have got the know how & tools, I'd say an afternoon would be all you needed to make one. Cheers Mike
