  1. I tried my windshield out today and it worked great, https://plus.google.com/photos/102644701140090439641/albums/5845770977974310337?authkey=COujm4Gvh_6MZA Also, the blue board kept the snow out real well, the passenger side got snow on the seat, but not mine, guess I'll make another one.
  2. Lenny, here's a place I think may be worth checking out while your there. It is 1 mile in on what appears to be a well maintained road. 34°10'58.51"N 114°11'57.22"W
  3. Here's my first prototype installed, if it works well, it stays, if it attracts too much dirt & dust, I may replace the plastic with glass. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/JNDQSDsG580mxdKMSgClTkQPnh2NnsZo8eCcyh460ao?feat=directlink

  5. During this bad weather, (winter), I just reworked the front shocks to have more rebound dampening and haven't had a chance to try them, but I'm sure they are as good as any other shock, way better than stock, and you can rebuild them. The rears were doing quite well, but the front had too little rebound dampening and I have just fixed that, I hope, but need to test it. I'll have to take some photos of my fenders for you, but the plastic came from http://www.speedwaymotors.com/in the form of a 10’ or 25' X 22" X 1/8” rolls (http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Colored-Plastic-Rolls-25-Ft,31414.html ) and the frame work is a piece of 1" X 1/2" channel iron bent around the tire and supported by 2 1/2" square tubes and stabilized at the front. photos later today, hopefully.

  8. http://f-o-a.com/index.php shock ~ 200 spring ~ 49 - 65 I like my FOA Shock, got them all the way around, I'm sure you can find more expensive, but these are good shock and you can rebuild and tune them yourself
  9. From page 36 of the manual which can be downloaded from Joyner Manuals --- http://www.jmcmotors...vehicle-manuals found in http://www.utvboard.com/topic/392-parts-pieces-and-information-for-our-troopers-joyners/ Specifications Model TROOPER Dimensions: Overall length 3300mm/130 inch Overall width 1600mm/63 inch Overall height 1990mm/78 inch Seat height 800mm/34.6 inch Wheelbase 2470mm/97.2 inch Ground clearance 300mm/11.8 inch Minimum turning radius 6000mm/236 inch Basic weight: With oil and full fuel tank 780kg/1719 Ib
  10. Trooper's 4 cylinder engines have 2 up and 2 down as any one piston is at TDC, are the cylinders staggered on the 3 cylinder renegade, if so, there is no way a Trooper ECM would work.
  11. Where's this at, got any GPS coordinates? Sounds adventurous.
  12. What car did your wheels come off of? Wish I had some advice, but I don't? Yes I do, My son has an RZR4 and the trailer he is using is too narrow for it, so he runs a ratchet tie down strap from A arm to A arm and cranks it up so that it is narrower and rides higher, perhaps you can try the same for areas that need to be narrow.
  13. Did you replace and if so, what happened?
  14. Maybe you ought to rename this the "2013 Spring Desert Jamboree" just in case someone else decides to have one in the mountains somewhere, say Marysville, UT.
  15. Be sure to check out Billy Mac Mine Road
  16. Lenny, do you have any coordinates of where you plan to camp, I have been looking at google earth and I'm not seeing where you might camp.
  17. Maps and coordinates please Would you mind checking whether or not Licence Troopers can drive on the roads so we (I) don't have to trailer the Trooper from camp.
  18. good find, good comment, makes sense IMHO and I agree. Kinarfi
  19. did you say your fuel pressure is 50# ? drop it to 35# and see if that fixes your richness.
  20. That's basically what I did also, but I used a 130 psi air compressor and set the pressure regulator as high as it would go (about 100psi) and then just help the chuck on the valve for a while so it could push as much in as possible and pulled off real quick. From what I understand, the nitrogen molecule is much larger than the O2 molecule, so it doesn't react to heat as much, but what we breath is mostly nitrogen 78% & O2 21% any way, I just us air, if I had lots of money riding on the shock performance, like an Indy driver, I'd use nitrogen, but I'm not and I don't.
  21. They twist on regular tires also, I have always run 28" tires, got rid of the stocks and went with General Grabber AT2 27x8.50 R14 95Q 6PR OWL shortly after I got it. I've boxed mine, but if you look at post #51 on http://www.utvboard.com/topic/2915-front-suspension-heim-joints-ball-joints-etc/page-3 you'll how far out of plumb my wheels are. That may be my next project this winter.

  23. 81.32/year for the Trooper State Farm, the also have my house, RV and Yukon and I have an excellent driver's record.
  24. One more little request as to where you are at, how about some GPS coordinates. Good job, think I'll check my engine ground just to make sure, and don't hesitate chime back in from time to time.
  25. You Are Welcome!! I have the left overs from my sons EZ-Up, so I took one of the corner that slide up & down and cut off the ends at an angle and went under went under the front and slid the pieces out so they hit rims, marked how for out it went in the front and in the back and measured the difference, about 5/16" . I'll take a photo tomorrow. and post it.
