Howdy Jeff, Good name, I'm just over the point from you, so if you need help, maybe I can help you. Welcome to the forum and Joyner world. Jeff, AKA Kinarfi

I honestly think the answer is NO, we can not come to a conclusion, too many people don't agree with me but the data is out there. From the parts pieces and info page, Trooper T2 weights, 380lb. on each front wheel, 480 lb. on left rear, 520 on right rear TOTAL = 1760 pounds, I haven't seen any real specs on what stock travel is, Maybe you can supply that, I my opinion, The bottom measurement, EYE to EYE, should be where the axle has an 1/8 an inch clearance from the trailing arm, top should be what ever the shock builder can get with the max eye to eye. I still like my FOAs as they don't use nitrogen or any pressure, just springs. If you still have the original shocks on, would please take a photo and or measure of the clearance of axle and the trailing arm with the frame jacked up so the shock is fully extended. you got me thinking of something. Thanks, Kinarfi

Anyone playing with their Trooper this weekend?
Kinarfi replied to rocmoc's topic in Joyner UTV SxS Forum
I'm making plans to go back down to Hanksville on -- some time soon after --- Wednesday and do some more exploring, I have been watching the weather and l looks decent for a few days, http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.14252094274138&lon=-110.60319095828163&site=slc&smap=1&unit=0&lg=en&FcstType=text, any one want to go? May stop around Moab on the way out if I haven't had enough. Kinarfi -

CV Boot Kit There appears to be a difference between inner and outer boots, I used a NAPA CVB6862340 for my outer rear, fit good but not tightly on the CV end, I held it on with Tyraps Autozone part # 03606. Comes with bands and grease for $11.99, quick/split boot. K2181 95 Geo Metro $15.99 Napa 686-2181 CV Boot from a 95 Geo Metro. Norrec Industries then Application, then UTV, then look up joyner, they have them all Polaris CV Boot Kit # 2203438, (PR-8061) Thanks RocmocNEW Also see CV boot for driveline? - UTV BOARD - Side X Side and UTV Forum This is in the parts and pieces subject that is pinned. When I looked up stuff for Joyner, I found it in the red reference. Kinarfi http://www.norrecind.com/Category/2lvl1lstbxA.taf?_function=list&_start=1&cat=1394

Southern Utah Jamboree - The next Get Together
Kinarfi replied to Kinarfi's topic in Joyner UTV SxS Forum
A few more words for people who haven't read the entire thread, basically, where it is at and that it is June 24 -26, 2011 and I'm hoping to show up early and leave late unless I go to Marysvale before and Moab after. I got no job, I'm retired, I'm handicapped, can't golf, broke my airplane(& it broke me), what else have I got to do? go ride around and I got some beautiful areas to play in and a wonderful wife that likes to go with me. I plan on running it up some more this spring and summer and fall. I have the Little Sahara Dunes, I have Currant Creek area, south and west of Strawberry Reservoir, Moab is not that far, and when I go out, it's usually 50 Km per run. Maybe I ought to get one of the new ones when they come out. Kinarfi

after my trip to Hanksville, I'm now at 7025 kilometers. Kinarfi

I second that, Stop to engage and stop to switch in or out and then back up a foot or 3 and then proceed, this allow for any binding to be relieved. Kinarfi

http://news.webshots.com/album/580071332eNSKGM Here's 50 photos I took yesterday, I wrote on a lot of them as to why they might be worth noting(safety issues), and a few thing I think caused me so grief. #26 is my redesigned air/oil separator, when my rings went bad, I had a lot of blow by which carried the oil mist into my intake manifold and I had standing oil in it, so I flipped the manifold and I like it that way, and pushed enough of the mist out to the stock oil/air to over load the breather filter to where it dripped oil out side and down the side of the air/oil separator canister. The new one is made out of 2 2" white pvc caps, 1 2"X3" pipe nipple and 1 breather filter from Checker O'Rielly. I cut the rubber mount off the breather and epoxied to the inside of one of the caps(vent) after drilling and tapping, drilled and tapped the pipe(inlet) and the other cap(drain, welded a bolt for mounting, assembled with teflon tape and painted it black (now if I get oil dripping off the vent filter, it drips back into the system and the vent is on the intake side of the main air filter, plus I used clear tubing so I can see if anything is happening).(probably don't need it now that my rings are good again ) I added a small catch bottle between the valve cover and intake just in case. When I did my re-ringing, I plugged the big hole in the valve cover and the hole coming out of my oil pan, BIG MISTAKE!!!!, when you turn the engine off, any cylinders on the compression stroke bleed of the compression creating internal pressure, and in my case, pushed oil out the tube in the oil pan because it was the weakest closure. Not now though. still working on this post. Kinarfi

I didn't get any photos after I fixed it, bummer. here's the first of several, zoom in on photos and you see the corrosion from water inside the case, I fixed mine, painted my motor because it had corrosion, and put it back together and sealed it real good and I'm still running it, In my opinion, if it was available for the lockers, I would use it there also. -- I like it being electrical!!

pull the shields, clean it, spin it, if it feels smooth and sound good, use it, IMHO

no!! I'm not that rich, I pulled the seals off and washed it and what ever was messing up washed out and I reused it, with no ill effects that I know of, I recommend pulling the seals any way so the oil can circulate in it anyway. That was the price that I found on line. Kinarfi

I think it's about time to close this thread, I will do that tonight, unless others think we should leave it open a while longer, and post the results. Looks like we have 7 parties attending and that it will be south of Hanksville. If you didn't get you vote in, come any way, all are welcome. Kinarfi

I had to get into my light once and it turned out to be a bad connection, too long ago for an old man like me to remember just what I did, but it's still burning. Seems like it was the same as a car, except it had leads on it. Would you mind posting a picture of it? Kinarfi

Are you trying to GROSS everyone out or what? Can I keep my sun glasses on?

Hey Lenny, since you are towing with your truck, can you bring you tail gate so we can use your truck to do this?

I like the concept of a bunch of troopers around a central theme, maybe a big rock, a small plateau, maybe a fire. some stock some big wheels, maybe we should all take a photo of out vehicle and send it in and then caricature that, maybe even us. May the road runner a red superbee and that's what I had. Kinarafi Alway wished I could draw, what talent, you're doing good.

Well since sooner or later, Rocmoc is going to have to take orders, shirt pocket or not could be one the options. While mopartist is making drawings, we need a emoticon with the foot in the mouth!
